Well this is a pleasant surprise. A very pleasant one indeed.

Personal Announcement
Congratulations! You have found a corrupted dungeon of the Wrath Sin!
Unlike regular Dungeons, which are special locations created by the System as a way to manage the release of the much larger monster groups throughout the plane, Corrupted Dungeons are not created by the System. They are naturally formed in areas of immense Sin energy and are managed by the System to allow System users to access and clear them of their corruption.
These corrupted dungeons are filled entirely with Sin energy monsters of the Sin energy the dungeon was corrupted by, and they are far more dangerous than regular dungeons.
Enter at your own peril.

Unlike with the dungeons I’ve seen back in Midgard, which have the appearance of large pitch black holes in the ground with no bottom, this corrupted dungeon is more like a portal in appearance. One with a black coloring and a blood crimson border, mixed with some specks of that same crimson through the black.
Overall, it looks rather intimidating. And, well, very Wrath-like.
Not to mention that note at the end of the personal announcement. The whole ‘enter at your own peril’ thing.
That doesn’t sound very safe. Especially when I don’t remember the introductory announcement for my first regular dungeon having that note.
Either way though, I’m starting to find it difficult to move around this sector of the Borderlands. Specifically because the leader of the golem demons seems to finally be losing it and sending massive armies of golems everywhere while personally looking for me as well.
There are just too many of them to take on alone now, so I can’t really comfortably fight the monsters anymore.
It’s drastically slowed down my EXP gathering.
And that’s not good.
I purse my lips for a few seconds before glancing behind me when I see some golems beginning to head in this direction. Then I look between the portal and the golems a few times, only to eventually just jump straight into the portal. Leading to me finding myself inside of some completely crimson room.
Huh. Pretty sure the room for regular dungeons was white.
Then there’s this System Note in my vision…

You have entered the transition area of the corrupted Wrath dungeon: Wrathful Caverns of Hell
This corrupted dungeon has existed ever since the fall of Hell and has been dormant ever since. However, now that the corrupted dungeon has been awoken, the countdown on its breakage will commence.
Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.
The primary monster of this corrupted dungeon is the Crimson Salamander.
These creatures are well known for living underground in molten lava and traversing their caverns all day and night with no need for sleep.
If you do not pass into the corrupted dungeon proper before the countdown expires, you will be forcefully teleported there by the System.
0 Days 1 Hours 59 Minutes 54 Seconds

…I’m pretty sure the other System Note wasn’t crimson in color either.
I purse my lips, not really feeling very comfortable with these changes but also not being too put off either. Then I just shrug and leave the room to enter the dungeon proper. Since I don’t need a rest. And even if I did, two hours isn’t going to do much for any sort of recovery.
But the moment I step into the dungeon itself, I find more than a few unpleasant things popping up. The first of which is the extreme heat that I find myself in now, along with all of the magma in the cavern I’m now inside.
And the second?
The Corrupted Dungeon Mission in my vision.

Right. So, I kind of want to leave now.
I purse my lips for a few seconds before glancing to the side when some rather large lizards leave the magma nearby. Each of which identify as Tier 3.
Without much thought, I wipe all of them out with Wrath lightning. A process that proves to be rather easy.
But… my eyes just keep going back to the words still in crimson text over my eyes. Specifically the Tier 5 and Tier 6 bullshit.
This dungeon is far more difficult than any dungeon I’ve been in before.
I still remember the first dungeon I was in whose strongest monster was just a Tier 3 monkey. Meanwhile this corrupted dungeon has its weakest monsters at Tier 3.
It’s… terrifying.
I take a deep breath before letting it out. Then I throw a few more bolts of Wrath lightning out to kill some more of the large, two-meter-long lizards with glowing crimson eyes and bodies filled with Wrath energy that walk out of the magma.
Well, at least this place has plenty of targets to fight.
And if I survive to the end, there should be a rather nice reward from that Corrupted Dungeon Mission as well.
One that should include a lot of EXP. Unless that is different about the corrupted dungeons too from the regular ones.
Anyways, the first things I need to figure out in this place is how to deal with the heat and where to take shelter. Since there’s no way I’ll be able to clear this place for at least a month, much less a day.
And that’s putting aside the matter of where this king’s treasure is that I’m supposed to steal.
