Floating down the hall I decided to practice my mana manipulation and done my best to change the shape of the mana. It was relatively easy to get the mana to take any shape I wanted, the problem was that unlike the mana ball I made I couldn’t keep the shape if I tried to move it. Just as I was getting fed up with my attempts I spotted a small group of green people walking past the hall I was in. Curious I decided to follow them and started to drift between the shade torched on the walls.
I followed them for a couple of minutes before working up the courage to try and get close, the reason I was getting closer however was because my observe didn’t work if I didn’t have a good enough view. I was hopping that these green people would be something else but they turned out to be goblins.
GoblinLevel3 On of the most common creatures in the multiverse, these being are typically weak but are quick to reproduce. Most goblins come from monster clans and are typical mindless or close to mindless. However there are goblin civilisations as well which are classed as sentient races since they will trade with other races, have their own cultures and occasionally blend into other cultures.
This goblin is classed as a monster.
AEXP: level* 30
That was interesting info I got about goblins, not really relevant but it might help me out later. Anyway back to the goblins. As I followed them down 3 hallways I noticed that all 3 had basic wooden spears and when I observed them all I got was this.
Ponit-ed Stick
This is a weapon commonly used throughout the multiverse by those starting out in poor conditions. There's little to no value having this weapon because even a banana is better than this.
“Only a loon would attack with a Point-ed stick!”
-- a self-defence instructor.
AEXP: 0-1
I feel like these weapons are a joke, but I don’t know why…
Forgetting that I followed the goblins as they entered a room that has a single wooden chest in the center of the room. The goblins immediately ran for it, flinging open its lid. Almost immediately a skeleton walks through the only door to this room and makes its assault. Seeing that the 3 goblins can’t fight of the skeletons I decide it's about time I try to get some EXP instead of AEXP.
Just as the skeleton and goblins separate from their initial bout I swoop down and hover next to the skeleton. The goblins seem to think that I'm some kind of joke and start laughing. Making the most of their poor timing I use Mana bolt, my aim was a little of but I managed to break 1 goblins shoulder, tering most of the skin from it in the process. Suddenly the skeleton jumped at the goblins as they were startled, separating the 2 goblins with no injuries from the 1 I attacked.
Focusing on the fight I threw myself into my whole being was focused on the goblin in front of me. Throwing his Point-ed stick at me was the only thing the goblin could do as I floated up out of its range, its weapon hit the roof before falling down causing the goblin to scramble for its weapon. Taking full advantage I shot 2 more mana bolts hitting its back and the back of the shoulder I already hit. Roaring in pain as blood stained its back as its left arm flopped to its side oozing blood down it, the goblin started to attack as fast as it could. However with it still on the ground and me floating at roof height all it could do is throw its weapon, desperately trying to get lucky. Unfortunately it did get lucky and hit me with his weapon dealing 57 damage. It hurt like hell and it was a strange form of pain as it cause the pain to shudder through my whole being while also causing a feeling I simply can’t fathom. I'd describe it if I knew how. The strange sensation seemed to change my anger to some form of sadness as I rained 4 mana bolts down on the poor goblin caving in its skull causing blood and grey matter to sputter the air, all the while tearing its arm of and back open. As the goblin died its body vanished and I looked towards the skeleton who was sitting down watching me fight. As it got up to leave shade started to speak to me.
(Shade): “Little Darkness, you fight in a strange manner. It is also painfully obvious you need some help if you're going to get strong enough to protect me. You may have what’s in that chest as I was planing to replace it anyway.”
(Dark): “Thank you shade, but can you stop calling me little Darkness and just call me Dark it's annoying.”

(Shade): “Oh where would the fun be in that little Darkness. I feel I've grown attached to calling you little Darkness. Wouldn't you say it's a lovely name, huh little Darkness. Either way I'm glad you only ask of me so little Darkness.”
(Dark): “Please don’t do that again...”
Laughing through my skull Shade leaves me to do as I please, so I descend towards the open chest to find some interesting things. When I looked into the chest I found a book, a crystal and an iron sword, I immediately observed them all.
Elemental Manipulation Skill BookThis skill book give the user the foundation to create and manipulate elements from their own mana. With practice manipulating the basic elements will eventually allow the user to alter or control elemental spells of other people. This skill requires affinities to be unlocked.
Requirements: INT-15 WIS-15
AEXP: 300
Lowest Energy Crystal This is a special crystal which can be used to create lowest level accessories or weapons skills. Each crystal has a skill type affinity which defines the type of skill and accessory or weapon would gain.
AEXP: 500
Iron swordBasic iron sword although this weapon in common it is stronger than some of the most exotic weapons available. Known examples WhaleBone Blade, WhaleBone spear.
AEXP: 50-150
I wasn’t surprised that there are skill books in this world but I am surprised that I'd get one this early. Shame I can’t use it right now I'll just place it in my inventory till I level up. As for the crystal and the sword I don’t see any use for them for a while and since my body can’t even hold either of them I'll just consume them for AEXP.
This was the point when another strange thing happened and another new window popped up.
Consumed Lowest Energy Crystal Random chance to buy an affinity in exchange for forfeiting this items AEXP. Trade: Lose Crystals AEXP for Wind affinityWould you like to Trade Yes/No?
I was practically stopped in my tracks I didn't expect that I could trade for affinities. I thought about it for a second and accepted it since the elemental skill will need an affinity when I learn it.
You have unlocked affinity attributes in status screen.Gained Wind Affinity 5
Well it seems I can unlock more stats and attributes. Neat. I get lost in thought as I start eating the sword gaining 67 AEXP. When I finally gather my thoughts it was a reasonable assumption since even the games I played had hidden stats you could unlock. I ended up asking Shade how long I've been in him. It turns out that it has only been about 7 hours since I've been reincarnated. It felt a lot shorter honestly. I checked my status as I swam through the air towards the room I started at, finding that I already had light and dark affinities.
