After the fight with the troll, I started falling into the same routine for this month. Day in day out I've been experimenting on mana mushrooms for an hour or 2 depending on my mood. I spend the rest of the time floating through the Shades halls and at the end of the day I'd split the mana shrooms to add to my inventory. It's a good thing I seemingly don’t have an inventory limit since I have a couple thousand shrooms filling its majority. It’s a good thing too since I found more shade glass and made more mana glass, shade light glass and shadow glass.
When I was experimenting with the mana shrooms I created a lot of wind shrooms, dark shrooms and light shrooms. I ended up using a lot of time to get a total of 500 in each affinity even though it took a while to eat each one. As soon as I got my affinites past 100 all their respective spells.
Ever since I helped defeat the troll I haven’t got into a proper fight since then. Everytime I show myself to the merrow they bow and leave the dungeon, when the goblins suddenly see me the panic and run. On the plus side I've managed to keep my deal with Shade by protecting him. I recently met kobolds for the first time but when I revealed myself to the they seemed to pray and leave the dungeon. When I told Shade this he laughed and told me that the kobolds think that wisps are the spirits of the dead, so they pray and leave the area when they see one as it part of their religion to leave the dead to rest.
When I gained 1,000,000 mana I got some nice windows telling me that I got a new title and one that said I got a new skill. I didn’t get any stats though but I was fine with that. The title and skill I got were kind of interesting as well.
Congratulations For being the first being to break the 1,000,000 mana barrier before becoming level 100 or higher from Ohmaze you have been awarded: Title: Eidolons Mind
Congratulations For being the first being to break the 1,000,000 mana barrier before becoming level 50 or higher from Ohmaze you have been awarded: Skill: Eidolons Craft
Title:Eidolons Mind Eidolons mind is a unique title which gives the user the ability to learn magic just by being relatively near when it is cast. All forms of mind manipulation magic can’t work on you.
Eidolons Craft Beginner 1 This is the lost skill to create magical items of unimaginable power. When the user is creating an item it is possible for them to also use this skill to imbue a permanent enchantment with one of the users types of magic. Cost of enchanting this way is 1000 times the mana cost minimum. Enchantments done this way are unrivaled with the known forms of enchantment throughout Ohmaze and most worlds.
These are pretty useful, however I haven't even been able to use the benefits of either since none of the monsters I've faced have used any form of magic. I'm not even capable of using my new skill, all because it requires me to actually infuse a spell into an item I'm crafting. I tried using it on a mana shroom to see what would happen. The results involved me having to re plant hundreds of mana shrooms throughout my room.
Not everything has been that unfortunate, I managed to gather a few million AEXP. I used most of them to improve my mana regen up to 10% and health to match. After I did that I was left with just over 1 million AEXP, and even though I could easily farm more I kept getting the feeling I shouldn’t and that feeling would arrive in full force when ever I had the thought. I ended up using all of my remaining AEXP to improve my G.WIS since I didn’t want to suffer from that mental strain again, putting my G.Wis at 148.
Thanks to the massive increase in G.WIS I can repeatably use my spells without feeling any mental strain unless I use mana blast part 100,000, which is devastating or if I use flash blade constantly with 1000 or more mana usage, as long as I don’t use more than 1000 mana per minute I feel no strain. Thanks the the massive increase, I have been able to train a lot of my spells and managed to raise most of them to novice rank. My mana barrier and wind bolt are the highest level since I started toying with both to pass the time. I found that I can use the barriers as almost any shape while the wind bolt can be bounced of the barriers. I started playing ping pong with the barriers and a wind bolt whenever I had nothing to do.
Since I told Shade how I'm as strong as I am he has changed the quest again, this time, instead of 500 mana shrooms I have to gather 500,000 for him by the end of our deal. I'm just under a quarter of the way there from just storing my spare shrooms. I've also only farmed at nights once per day cause I don't feel like I need to get any stronger.
I also found out that my mana infusion can work on spells I have to have a pseudo overcharge. If I hold a spell and infuse some mana into it, I can improve the overall effectiveness twice over, but no more. It also doesn’t work on certain spells like flash blade or mana blast since there mana cost varies from use to use based on my desires.
Shade told me yesterday that today is the start of a special event where people will be coming here to train their new fighters how to defend themselves. I'm kind of eger since I've done nothing but train and scary/convince monsters to leave by just being here.
After floating down to the ground I started to drift my way through the dungeon towards the large room we defeated the troll. Before I forgot to mention this, but since killing the troll was a special event it didn’t revive like when dungeon monsters kill other creatures.
Anyway as I was floating through the hall, I saw a very familiar merrow. It’s been a long time since I've seen this particular merrow since it's the one that kept dieing to shade glass. As soon as I revealed myself to it, the merrow stopped and took something from a satchel. With what I can only assume is some kind of smile the merrow puts what looks like a book on the floor before saying something in its gurgly language, it bowed and left back the way it came.
Curious as to why the merrow done that I stared at its back when it suddenly clicked. The merrow was thanking me, it was the merrow the troll was chewing on, the one I killed to send him out of the dungeon. I don’t know how long he’s been looking for me but it seems to have been a while since Shade said that that singular merrow has been in and out for weeks carrying that book.
I float down to the book to inspect it as soon as I touch it 3 windows spring into existence.
From touching an enchantment that cast a spell Eidolons Mind activated. 2 skills have been generated from the enchantment and books contents: Skill:Linguistics, Skill:Touch Training(variant)
Linguistics Level Max
This skill makes it possible to learn languages from being around those speaking it and/or attempting to read a foreign language book.
Current languages: Human, Melgas
Touchkinesis(variant) Level Max This skill allows the user to learn information and skills from touch. Due to this being a variant it only works on information from books and can learn the needed information to gain skills this way.
I was taken aback by the skills I suddenly gained but as I gained the skills the contents of the book flashed through my mind.
‘Hello wisp, I don’t know if you can read Melgas so I had an enchantment placed on this to teach you the language on first touch. I'd thank you from the depths of my heart for killing me when the troll was going to do eat me. I'm most thankful that I was killed by you since you are part of the dungeon I revived safely outside. From the way you saved my I could tell you are a contracted monster rather than a created one. Once your contract is done and you can leave you will be welcome to my village as an honorary guest for saving me. This probably doesn’t mean much to you and I'm not sure you’ll fully understand since your a simple wisp but thank you.

-Dargeon, trainee shaman’
The rest of the book was some basic thanks to me from other merrow that I helped during the troll attack. It all pretty much said the same thing and I was glad that they were thankful. That's not something I expected from a race that practice sacrificing to their gods. I put the book in my inventory and drifted after the merrow when I caught up I fired a small lesser light heal to it, surprising it making it turn around.
(Dargeon): “Hello again wisp, thank you for healing me. Though I didn’t need it. What am I saying it’s not like you understand me.”
As he was turning to leave again I couldn’t help myself inflate with pride when I understood him, I immediately wanted to thank him for the book of thanks. Speaking Melgas stopped him in his tracks making him look back this way.
(Dark): “Thank you for the book, I'm glad I could help.”
(Dargeon): “You can talk Melgas, how? The enchantment was only to teach you how to read Melgas.”
(Dark): “I’ve know how the merrow talk for a while. When you gave me the book I learned how to speak it as well.”
Telling a little lie Dargeon slumped down the wall and had a strange smile on his face. Turning back to face me he started talking to me again.
(Dargeon): “I knew you were special when you killed me all those times without me even getting a scratch on you. Ah, ha ha I think its right to have invited you to our village when you can leave.”
(Dark): “I only killed you twice on purpose and one of those times was to save you from the troll. Every other time you fell into shade glass.”
(Dargeon): “You are a weird wisp you know than, not only can you talk, you're stronger than me. And from what I heard you were the deciding factor in killing the troll. I must be going I've got so dutys back in my village to attend.”
Standing up, Dargeon said goodbye and left the dungeon, as soon as he left Shade started talking to me. I thought he’d have something serious to say like the last few week whenever he spoke but this was the first time a long while he’s joked around.
(Shade): “Little Darkness, you finally made a friend. I'll call the gods make sure they have a good laugh.”
(Dark): “Shade did you just make a joke? It’s been so long.”
(Shade): “Yes I did little Darkness, I could always make more about you, little Darkness. Would you like that little Darkness, would you?”
(Dark): “I thought things were going so when when you were serious this month. Why make crappy jokes about me?”
(Shade): “If I'm not going to make crappy jokes about you when I can, it’s almost as bullshit as your abilities.”
(Dark): “Ah, touche.”
It has been rather lonely since Shade learned about my power but he still talked to me. It just felt like I'd lost him at that point. Now that he’s back to joking a little I feel better than I have for a while.
(Shade): “Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness, Little Darkness!!!”
(Dark): “What the hell Shade! Why are you screaming that in my head, jeez.”
(Shade): “I’ve been serious to long I really couldn’t deal with being serious to you any longer. I'm just not a serious guy. Woah, I feel so much better after that. I'm still upset about that bullshit you call a power though.”
(Dark): “Fair enough just don’t do that shit again. It almost makes me want to break our deal just to silence you.”
Laughing away Shade said he’d make no promises. Feeling substantially better now that shade in no longer keeping up his serious facade, I start to move to the large room again like I initially intended. Once I got there I saw them, having a casual stroll through the hall. I observed the 3 of them that stood at the hall's entrance from the room. I was glad that this was something interesting, I might even get to fight.
Claire Hausler(Human)Level 7
Kela Fayx(Hobgoblin) Level 12
Alex Burgast(Human) Level 6
They were talking away while I was hidden in a shade torch, this was the first time I've seen someone with a name and no description. Each of them looked well equipped and the hobgoblin seems to be walking behind them telling them to focus, Because every time so spoke the other 2 flinched.
When the got to the center of the room 2 gates I've never seen before shoot down from the ceilings and block the hallways, I’ll need to ask shade about that later. Following them the skeletons that are almost always clinging to the walls climb or fall down.
Suddenly the small group move into a obviously practiced fashion and Alex starts talking.
(Alex): “About damn time we get into a fight. I was beginning to think this dungeon was empty.”
(Kela): “Shut up Alex, this is suppose to be your training, don’t be overeager. Same goes for you Claire. Understood?”
(Claire & Alex): “Yes Miss!”
(Kela): “Good, test one defeat the skeletons without my help.”
At that they sprang into action leaving me to watch unknowingly.
