As I woke up after the last day of my deals with both Shade and the merrow I was planning to leave. I was about to leave my shade torch bed when Shade started to speak to me, he sounded a little sad and excited.
(Shade): “It’s a shame that you have to go, you made it interesting for there 3 months, and kept your end of the deal splendidly little Darkness.”
(Dark): “3 months and you haven’t gotten over calling me that have you? Oh well I guess it's one last hurrah then.”
(Shade): “Not quite, there's something I forgot to mention about myself.”
(Dark): “I’m going to take a wild guess and say I can’t leave without either a special item or defeating the boss right?”
(Shade): “I’m a little surprised you could guess that… Yes you have to defeat my boss mob to leave, and I won't make it easy for you.”
(Dark): “out of curiosity what is the final boss you have?”
(Shade): “I won’t tell you have it is but it’s level is 25.”
(Dark): “Well it won’t be that hard since I defeated a strong troll before.”
(Shade): “Good luck you're going to need it.”
Leaving it at that I floated down from my shade torch and woke Falz and Rune from there meditation. I get that the meditation skill removes fatigue but I just don’t get why they’d rather not sleep. Anyway I woke them up and told them what Shade told me. I asked Rune to go tell Vari and ask if she’f like to come as well, before I knew it Rune was back with Vari strolling behind.
When Vari showed up Rune started to speak and ‘explain’ that Vari is still Shades mini-boss. Vari interrupted and fined in what he meant, she can’t leave unless let got by Shade. At that exact moment Shade stated that he’d let her leave if we could beat his boss.
We were planning to just go strait to the boss room and get out of Shade as fast as possible, but Falz raised a fair point. He suggested that we plan what we intend to do when we leave since we’re still monsters for the most part. I interrupted him, stating that I intend to explore Ohmaze and go to the merrow village once we leave. Since none of us have a need for food we could spend all our time doing whatever we desire. I was planning to tell them about the reincarnation games I'm supposedly a part of but since I have no information on it I decided to leave it for now and simply enjoy my time… and get stronger.
Before we left my room Shade told us that the rest of the monsters in here will now start attacking us until we defeat the boss and leave. Vari and Falz were a little surprised by this tidbit of information, while me and Rune figured as much. As we left the room some low level skeletons were waiting outside only to get destroyed by Vari as she practically walked through them.
During our jaunt to the boss room groups of skeletons and zombies would attack occasionally, none of which put up much of a fight. We stopped only at a couple of times when we were on the move simply to pick up some shade glass. The highest level of zombie we fought was level 15 and was the only mob that managed to even stall us, which was only cause Rune didn’t fight seriously.
By the time we got to the dungeon boss room, Vari, Falz and me were a bit pissed since Rune kept making bad jokes for the last 5 minutes. It was really bad ones like: Why can’t a zombie keep a relationship? Cause the always fall apart. Why are skeletons so dumb? Cause there boneheaded. And the only joke that got even a chuckle from me and Falz(and immediate smack from us too). Why do mages get caught up in new trends? Cause they always go mana-stream.
I was getting fed up with all of this by the point that we arrived at the boss room. When we entered Vari, Rune and Falz ready to fight and started to plan how to attack. I on the other hand was severely let down, not only is the boss different from what I was expecting but it's a fucking cliche of a joke.
Monty the Ravenous Bunny level 25A bunny rabbit that found its way to Ohmaze after getting blown up by the holy hand grenade of Antioch.
It’s the bunny from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Not only is it a damn joke I'm not dumb enough to risk getting close to it. Before the others moved I fired a 10,000 mana blast right on to it sending indistinguishable bits of flesh and bone to paint the walls, and to a lesser extent us.
Everyone was a little stunned that I just killed the boss that fast except Shade and Falz who only got startled that I didn’t hold back.
(Shade): “Holy hell little Darkness why did you use so much power on one enemy?”
(Dark): “Cause I'm not going to fight a fucking joke Shade. Plus I wouldn’t let Rune and Vari get close to something that can tear out throats fast”
(Shade): “Ok I know that you're from another world and all that, but that is no excuse to know about Monty's way of attacking.”
(Dark): “In the world I'm from that rabbit was a monster in a very funny movie, so I'm not dumb enough to get close to that thing. Anyway we beat your boss so can we leave?”
(Shade): “Sure, be sure to visit if you miss me. Oh and one thing.”
(Dark): “Yea?”
(Shade): “Please leave and take your absurd existence with you.”
I could practically feel the banter in his voice. Smiling to myself we left Shade and headed to the entrance. When we got there we we took our first steps outside of the dungeon to find a sparse forest just outside. I looked at the reactions of Vari, Rune and Falz and all of them were taken aback by what they saw.
I let them enjoy the view before we set out to explore for a bit while I started to think about what I should do since I don’t have a deal with Shade anymore. I'm a little upset that I didn’t get to level 20 from Shades boss but it's not like it matters that much. I shouldn’t have to worry about any major threats unless I somehow find something like a dragon. It might be a good idea to find a place to rest, thinking so I told my party that we’ll be heading out now.

We walked through the forest for 3 hours before we found something interesting. We found a goblin village. Thinking that it would be a good idea to rest in a village I hope that we could reason with them, if not all of them are only low level. None of the goblins are above level 10, this should be easy. I told Falz, Rune and Vari only to kill the goblins that attack them as we walked out a the forest bushes hiding us. I revealed myself and caught the attention of the goblins.
The goblins started to panic a little but the higher level ones shouted at them to calm down and get the the other end of the village. Thinking that I could reason with them to let us rest at their village I started talking to them in Gob.
(Dark): “Hello, I was wondering if you’d let us rest at your village?”
(Mean Goblin): “No, get the fuck out our village or else.”
(Dark): “Would it change your mind if I said you didn’t have a choice?”
(Smart Goblin): “It might. But all the same we’d rather not have outsiders in our village without reason.”
(Mean Goblin): “No they can fuck off, this is our village and I won’t have anymore outsiders try and take it from us.”
(Smart Goblin): “Unlike the other outsiders these ones asked only to rest, not for us to give them the village. Their even using our language rather than the common Human language.”
(Dark): “We only want a place to rest for the night, and a village is better than in the forest.”
Before any of the other goblins could speak the mean goblin charged at me swinging a crude blade at me. I used a small mana bolt to stun him but when he tried to dodge his head was struck by it instead, killing him instantly.
Before the Goblins could react to what happened 2 windows sprang into existence as I fell to the floor.

As I finished reading the notice the small marble like core at the center of my flames burst apart and started to produce a thing dark blue smoke that spread out from me in all directions. Sudden pain surged through my entire being causing me to momentarily blank out. When I woke up the smoke was still blocking everything from view other than what was happening to me. I was growing a body, flesh and bone were being created around where my core use to be. Suddenly the flesh I now have surged forth and spontaneously formed into a fully humanoid body with dark blue skin.
The smoke was still covering me as I was still evolving. My body became thicker, my forearms seemed to grow gauntlet like flesh with 2 spikes at the wrists and elbow pointing backwards. My head seemed to burst into beautiful greenish blue flames which flowed like hair but accted as fire. More spikes sprouted this time on my head and through my flames were a total of 6 with 3 at each side. My chest and back suddenly felt pressure and suddenly my chest expanded till I had D-cup breasts, at the same time on my back large fleshy wings sprouted from my back. The wings at too thick to be used for flight and have 3 large lance like spikes protruding at the end of them at the top, the bottom of the wings have 3 spikes of slightly varying size spout. Pain which has been constant throughout the evolution process now concentrated into 13 different spots on my new body 8 on my wings, 4 on my thighs and one on my head. The ones on my wings were just over half way along the wings, 2 at the top, on in the middle the last a quarter from the bottom for both wings. The ones on my thighs were on the outside a couple of inches from my hips and an inch apart from each other in a line going towards my feet. The last one was at the dead center of my head. All the pain vanished as quickly as it came and in their place were blood red gems.
The smoke cleared and all the goblins had faces of fear about them I took my time to look around and test my new body. I looked at Rune, Vari and Falz and noticed I'm rather tall and large, my arms are as thick as a goblin's head and I'm just shy of 8 ft. I practically dwarf my companions now. Turning back to the goblins and smile for real this time saying while registering the fatigue brought on by the evolution.
(Dark): “So, how about a place to rest now?”

Author's Notes
This is going to be the last Chapter for a while so i can plan the arc. I honestly didn't think people would be interested in this story so i only planed up to this point in the story to practice writing, but if people keep reading it I'll keep writing it.
For those curious, i haven't forgot about Shades deal. it was that the deal wasn't a quest in the beginning ad was more along the lines of Darkness paying for rent in a way.
