It’s been 20 days since I became a mini-boss and I haven't had a moment's peace since the first 2 days. I've had fight after fights since then and I've even got to the point I just stopped caring about the acts, it’s simply not fun when you act the same day in, day out for weeks on end. On the plus side I've leveled up several times due to the fights, now I'm level 9. I still haven’t used any of the AEXP I have, even though I have quite a bit from the levels.

I've gotten so bored cause of these fights that I have started to farm the mana shrooms in order to complete the quest to gather 500,000 mana shrooms. It’s been a lot harder to farm the shrooms since occasionally when the adventurers would try and attack me they would use spells like mana bolt and wind blade to hit me but would devastate the mana shrooms on the ceiling. In fact some of the people that used spells were using fire, water or earth occasionally. When they did I'd always get a window telling me I don’t have the affinity to learn those spells. It got annoying really fast since after the first 3 days people in robes started to show up and use various elemental spells at me I simply didn’t have the affinity for.

After the second day I asked Shade why I haven’t seen any merrow, goblins or kobolds since the adventurers came. Apparently they avoid going to dungeons when the adventurers are training their novices since they will be killed on sight.

Moving on, I am very close to finishing the quest for Shade, I'm only a couple hundred mana shrooms short. Well to be honest I have enough for the quest, but I'd like to have enough to farm mana shrooms after it.

I spent the day defending myself from groups of adventurers as they waltzed right in, attacking and destroying the skeletons as fast as they could. Almost as soon as I revealed myself they started attacking. Without even thinking about it I destroyed them almost instantly with mana bolts. It hasn’t even been a challenge to fight Kelas group since most of my skills reached Intermediate rank. At least they occasionally last a short while unlike the other adventurer groups.

Near the end of the day something interesting happened, a group of 5 which was full of wizards at least according to what their descriptions said. They  came strolling into the room as soon as the gates closed all of them cast spells on the walls destroying the skeletons nigh-instantly.

As I floated down revealing myself and ready to attack them one of the wizards fired a lightning spell at me knocking me back almost immediately once I was in view. I heard a small ding but was to focused on the interesting group in front of me.

I was let down as soon as I started to attack them. It only took one mana bolt to kill each of them, what was worse was that they all panicked as soon as I killed the wizard that managed to strike me. They all died within 10 seconds of the first death.

Feeling dejected I looked at the notification the I pushed aside during the fight.

Advance of the Drudge leveled upFor reaching Novice rank with Advance of the Drudge resistances improve by 10%.

I was glad that it reached novice, I've been trying to get it to level up for a while now. I noticed that whenever it leveled up before it never gained any sort of improvement, the fact it improved at ranking up makes me thing it will only improve when it ranks up. I also realised that it only ranked up since I took some damage, I’ll have to look into that later.

I had another 2 fights before it was the end of the day, nothing else of interest happened aside from the sadly week group of wizards. I went to farm the mana mushrooms and gathered the extra couple hundred of them before I decided to move on. I must have spaced out because when I checked my inventory to make sure I had enough mana shrooms just incase I had gathered more than intended. Smiling to myself as I had 2098 spare mana shrooms, I took out the 500,000 mana shrooms and called Shade to finish the quest.

(Shade): “Wow, you managed to finish getting that many this fast? That's extremely unreal you know, little Darkness”

(Dark): “I would have finished them faster, but the adventurers kept destroying my mana shrooms on the ceiling.”

(Shade): “That is even more frightful you know. So I guess you want to finish the quest, little Darkness?”

(Dark): “Yes please.”

(Shade): “Ok just give me a moment.”

Suddenly all of the 500,000 mana shrooms I collected vanished, in their stead laid 7 large pinkish crystals, 2 books and a wooden sword. Just as I was about to ask Shade about them and what happened to the mana shrooms, the quest window popped up in front of me.

Quest CompleteFor both surprising and impressing the Shade Dungeon known as Shade by completing this quest. You will be given an award appropriate for collecting 500,000 mana shrooms.

7 Energy Crystals

SkillBook: Create Undead

Soul bound Sword

-------------------------

As I floated down excitedly, I could heard Shade thanking me, ignoring him I started consume the crystals. Each crystal asked me if I'd like to make a trade for an affinity, without hesitation I did that for all 7 of them. The affinities I got where all of them except holy, demonic and wind, each gave me 500 in each affinity which wasn’t that surprising when I asked Shade about the different tiers of energy crystal. Each tier is 10 times stronger than the previous tier.

When I finished with the crystals I drifted towards the books, as soon as I came into contact with them I gained some understanding on how to use the skills thanks to Touchkinesis. At the same time a window popped up asking if I'd like to learn the skill for each book. Without hesitation, I learned the skills and was upset with how craft inventory worked, seemed kind of misleading with the name.

Craft InventoryBeginner1This skill allows the user to create any item they have previously crafted at a cost of 100 times the items mana value. Having this skill allows the user to see the mana value of objects.

A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Mana cost: varies

Create UndeadBeginner1A skill to create undead to do your bidding. This skill will evolve based on how the user creates Undead. This skill can evolve into a new skill if the right conditions are met.

Created creatures can evolve if the right conditions are met. If a created creature evolves, you gain the ability to create more of that creature.

Summon list:

Skeleton: 50 mana

Create Undead is very interesting, I wonder if it can be changed to create other monsters?

I’m a little eager to try out this new skill of mine but the last new item comes first. As I touched the sword I felt a sharp pain and suddenly 2 windows popped up in front of me.

You have been soulbound to a weapon, what will you name it?_________________

Being soulbound to a weapon has given you the option to change the type of weapon. What would you like the weapon type to be.

Thinking for a moment I came up with a name for the weapon and decided that the weapon type to be a simple straight sword. I called my new sword Abyssal Whisper since I had thought about this sort of thing before. Once named the Sword started to change shape and became a long straight sword with a double edged blade, the handle was solid black with a greyish blue pommel which seemed to be in the shape of a twisted maw clawing up the blade. The handle and pommel seems to be moving slowly. When I looked at the blade it was a straight, thick blade with black splotched up and down the whole length of it. As I was appreciating the beautifully creepy blade a window sprang into existence.

Abyssal WhisperThis soulbound blade belongs to the wisp Darkness.

The Abyssal Whisper, a blade that represents its owners estranged personality and sense of humor. The blade will always be sharp and instill unease to those that gaze on it for too long. This blade will change and grow along with the user. Due to high G.WIS this blade can be used as a powerful medium for magic.

Cannot be converted to AEXP

I was both ecstatic and disappointed, I simply couldn’t wait to use this weapon. Sadly I simply couldn’t use this weapon at all as a wisp. Feeling slightly dejected I put it into my inventory when Shade started to speak again.

(Shade): “I know you cannot use it yet, but when you evolve you should be able to.”

(Dark): “What do you mean when I evolve?”

(Shade): “Every being aside from special once such as dungeons and civilised creatures can evolve at least once. They all evolve at level 20 some evolve after they reach level 100 and there is legends of monsters evolving at level 1000.”

(Dark): “Wow, I might be able to use Abyssal Whisper after all.”

(Shade): “Did you really name your soulbound weapon that? I should have expected that with that messed up sense of humor you have.”

Not saying a thing, I start to use my new skill Create Undead before I go to bed. I summoned 10 skeletons in an instant and when I used observe on them I was a little disappointed.

Skeleton level 1This skeleton was created by a wisp. This skeletons is more intelligent than a normal skeleton and can obey complex commands and can even develop an identity. If it lasts long enough.

Although they are weak they almost work together as well as Kela’s group when they were fighting. After testing how well they moved and how well the fight. I noticed that although none of them have weapons they throw their ribs as weapons. It was a little funny to watch. It even reminded me of one of my favorite games back on earth.

After 10 minutes of the skeletons fighting one of them stepped aside and watched. The skeleton waited for the other skeletons to be damaged and when they started to fall apart, it started to move and destroyed the remaining skeletons. Once it was finished I noticed that it was now level 3 and tried to summon more skeletons. Once I summoned another 10 I noticed that they were all level 3 as well. I stopped the skeleton I told to fight before he started attacking the new ones, healing him completely. Telling him to sit at the side I turned to the new 10 skeletons and told them to separate into groups of 3 and try combining into one creature. The remaining skeleton I tried to teach magic.

Spending an hour trying to teach the skeleton magic was painful, thankfully I managed to teach it 2 small spells, it managed to learn mana bolt and mana barrier. I also taught it how to meditate and told it to sit next to the original skeleton and meditate for the night. I turned back to the other 9 skeletons and was amazed that 2 groups were still trying to combined. The one group that successfully combined was interesting. They managed to combined 2 of the skeletons together at the lower spin. One was facing forward one was facing backwards, I also noticed that the legs from the lower half of the skeleton from the back were ripped off to make basic clubs. The skeletons upper halfs could move independently but it seemed that it was now only one mind controlling it. Satisfied I got the remaining skeletons to fight. After 5 minutes all of them were destroyed except the skeleton with magic, the original and the flexi skeleton. I stopped them and used observe on them.

Skeleton level 3This skeleton was created by a wisp. This skeletons is more intelligent than a normal skeleton and can obey complex commands and even develop an identity. If it lasts long enough.

Skeleton Mage level 3This skeleton was created by a wisp. This skeletons is more intelligent than a normal skeleton and can obey complex commands and even develop an identity. If it lasts long enough.

This skeleton can use basic magic.

Flexile Skeleton level 3This skeleton was created by a wisp. This skeletons is more intelligent than a normal skeleton and can obey complex commands and even develop an identity. If it lasts long enough.

This skeleton is stronger than most due to the 2 upper halfs

I was happy with them, this was certainly a cool ability. I opened my Create Undead skill and found that I could now summon them as well. I wanted to see how the skeletons would gain a personality so I told them to do as they please as long as they stay in this room and don’t attack each other.

Floating to the shade torch I made my bed in this last 20 days I drifted to sleep watching the skeletons start moving about the room. As I checked my stats I was surprised that Create Undead had already leveled up.
