“Who is she?” asked Kit.

“Nate’s love interest,” said Ellis.

“Keep her!”

Kenya’s hands shook, struggling to steady herself.

“Over my dead body!” Milon appeared. “Let her go Kit!”

Kit softened. “My dear Milon, of course!” he said, signalling for Kenya to be set free.

“But-” said Ellis, in protest.

“- Leave her be,” said Kit.

Kit and Ellis shared a subtle nod that intrigued Kenya.
