Milon headed to the main lounge. Kit Mannon was visiting his father, and he didn’t want to miss it.

“Darcy Bruston is leading a team of investigators. They are busy with measuring devices and marking every spot,” said Kit.

A grand green Rolls Royce pulled into the driveway. Milon recognised the car.

Kit Mannon headed outside to greet Castar. “Andres, how are you?” he said.

“Ahh stressed my dear!”

Castar’s staff followed close behind him, opening a parasol to guard against the misty rain. Clarice was a few steps behind them, her pen hovering over a notebook.

“So, did we find something?” asked Castar, wiping sweat from his brow.

“It’s another druid site where we recorded the RayCrest phenomenon. We are hoping to find a natural portal further north,” said Kit.

“So still nothing. Emyn we are trying so hard,” said Castar.

“We were just discussing this,” said Kit.

“You know there’s no time!” he said, glancing nervously at Emyn.

His father was about to burst.

“We are very close. All will be well,” interjected Kit.

The men headed into the study and Milon followed from the sidelines. Kit spread a large map over Emyn’s desk and explained the different points they were exploring. Milon’s eyes widened and came closer.

Kit stated, “We believe there is a connection between these points, and we are attempting to identify a pattern.”

Milon’s father checked his watch. Overall, it was a slight improvement. Better than nothing.
