Ellis Warnock and Tipper Wilderman were onto Clarice. They surrounded her in the dimly lit corridor. “You’re up early.”

“We’d like a word,” said Tipper.

“Up in Castar’s studio, of course!”

They led her upstairs.

“He’s sleeping. He came back last night. All is well,” said Clarice.

Ellis uncovered the bed to find Castar’s mesh leopard costume instead.

Clarice screamed.

Ellis headed to the terrace, taking Castar’s binoculars from the side table. She failed to tell Nate and the girl apart from other people walking. She squinted her eyes and scanned the streets.
