On top of a ruined fortress in the middle of a bloody battlefield, humans and undead, locals and strangers, all looked towards a certain pixie. Surprisingly, Seth did not answer immediately. He could feel the insurmountable power emanating from his enemy.
This was a situation where giving up was appropriate. But, it was also a situation where a hero wouldn’t back down, not against the Lich King, not in front of his Queen. Though only by a little, the pixie’s face started twitching uncontrollably.
“Let’s fight!” he shouted before flying into the air. His body immediately became covered in sweat and his complexion turned pale. Even so, he took on a stance and prepared a blade of wind.
“Are you sure?” the former hero raised an eyebrow. “You don’t look so good.”
“Never felt better.” Seth tried to grin, but his jaws clapped uncontrollably. To crush down his fear, he threw the wind blade, but it was dissipated due to the ridiculous aura coming out of his opponent.
“Seth!” Chloe shouted. “Catch!” Seeing the flying potion, the pixie grabbed and gulped it down immediately.
His wings receded, but his body grew as tall as David. His tremors stopped, but his face became even whiter than before.
“Is this like a power up or something?” the hero asked out of curiosity.
“Maybe,” mumbled the warrior. His eyes began wandering everywhere for a solution. Seeing Momo, he called the ring towards him. The terrified squirrel arrived in his palm only to be chucked at the hero.
“Is he going to explode?” David chuckled while catching the squirrel mid-air. “Ooh, I see you have my bad luck skill. How’s that working out for you?”
Momo’s eyes went wide as the hero forcefully pulled out his character screen.
“Already -10,” he whistled. “-11, -12, -13. Your luck’s going to s**t by the second.”

To spare the poor squirrel from a heart attack, the hero reached into his mana core and forcefully pulled out his skill. It came out in the form of a deep red ball which he proceeded to crush inside his palm.
“Were you hopping that would work on me?” he said towards Seth. Momo wanted to beg him to remove the ring, but the hero casually threw him over his shoulder so hard the squirrel faded into the distance.
“Let us begin, shall we?”
Seeing the monstrous human raise his arms, Seth instinctively took a step back. His mouth opened and closed. His fists opened and clenched. He felt like both fighting and surrendering would equally result in death.
With a smirk, David blinked out of existence appearing just inches away from Seth. The warrior tried to punch him, but he was hit first. While barfing out blood from his crushed stomach, he desperately prepared to defend the next blow.
“Why won’t he beg for mercy?” the rock monster below asked Alastar. “That’s what Bratley did.”
“Begging isn’t part of his vocabulary,” sighed the mage.
Three feet to his right, Seth smashed into what remained of the fortress like a missile from space.
“You ok there buddy?” Alastar asked for the sake of moral support.
“Peachy,” spit the pixie while flying out of the cave. His body had reverted into his tiny form, but his eyes looked just as cold as when he was human. "Chloe."
The princess threw him a potion and he grew up once more. A second later, David punched through his jaw reverting him back. Again and again this cycle repeated much to the amusement of the hero.
“It doesn’t look like that potion heals your wounds,” he chuckled. “Why do you keep fighting?”
“For justice,” grumbled Seth now in his human form.
“Bulls**t. You either get off on it or…”
David paused. For the first time since his appearance, the hero's smirk left his face. Seth too forgot about his fear. He was used to seeing his enemies confused, enraged, or even arrogant, but in the hero's eyes he could see only pity.
"Stop," he muttered out of instinct. With no explanation, Seth's blood started boiled. All of his elements rolled around his fists. For the next two minutes, he smashed the hero like a madman set on destruction.
However, David didn’t even bother blocking. He took every blow, unmoving like a stone statue all the while watching the warrior with infuriating compassion.
“Shut the f**k up!” Seth shouted while punching his mug.
“I didn’t say anything.”
“F**k off!”
“I’m in my home.”
“I don’t care!”
“I know.”
The hero grabbed one of the warrior’s fists and twisted his arm. Before Seth could react, he pulled him into a hug.
“You don’t have to fight anymore,” said David while tapping his back.
“Eat a dick,” Seth retorted while punching his liver.
No matter how much time passed, the hero wouldn’t let go. And, no matter how many times he punched, the pixie refused to stop. All those below could do was merely spectate and watch, all until the very next day when the final fight would end.
