The goblin boss jumped from the ceiling while a giant wolf attacked from the front. Seth took control of the first one with wind, and then fed him to the latter.
Alastar was dodging blows while a slow acting poison was making his enemies lose chunks of their flesh. Half of his bosses looked like zombies, and the rest were too afraid to engage.
While the man was picking flesh samples, Momo too was fighting valiantly. By fighting, I mean running. And by running, I mean screaming for his life while going through an obstacle course of claws and clubs.
“Trust in your tail!” shouted Yuki. “Mage man, the ogre brothers are preparing an ambush.” They were not. “Pixie, there’s a worm in the ground. It will attack… now.”
“Thank you!” shouted Momo genuinely touched by her care.
“Why are you helping us?” asked Seth. “You’re making things weird!”
“No, I’m just a fan of the sport. Plus, who am I supposed to root for? The monsters?”
“Yes!”
The scorpicore boss turned towards her looking genuinely offended. In the very next second, Seth flew in and sliced its head off.
“They’re just mindless beasts,” the Spider Queen shrugged. “Pathetic slaves who couldn’t beat me.”
Numerous bosses twitched but said nothing.
“Of course, if you were to join me, I’d treat you so much better. You can have the top level and even a harpy or two.”
“Enough!” the centaur boss shouted. “I am sick and tired of you belittling us. What the hell is wrong with…?”

The monster’s vocal cords were cut short by a wind blade. The nearby bosses took distance in fear.
“Anybody else?” asked Yuki. “What about you?” She pointed to a lizardman who imploded soon after. “You?” She grabbed a vampire’s head and removed it from his spine.
“Hey!” Alastar shouted. “I had dibs on that one.”
“Sorry,” said the Spider Queen while shaking off the blood. “Waiting is just so boring.”
Yuki looked around for who to kill next. Starting from Momo’s bosses, she began wiping out her own minions, one by one, in increasingly gruesome manners.
“Have mercy, young miss!” hissed a giant snake that was now burning alive.
“I’m older than your mom!”
“Please be gentle, Mam,” cried a griffon after both of his wings were torn off.
“I’m not that old!”
Whether they ran, hid, or begged for mercy, all was useless in front of the Spider Queen’s wrath. A skeleton soldier even bashed his head into the floor only for Yuki to reanimate and then kill the poor bastard herself.
“That was totally unnecessary!” Seth complained when the last monster fell dead.
“Thank you so much!!” said Momo almost wanting to give the four eyed girl a hug.
“I’ll tell you what,” said Yuki. “If you can beat me, I’ll restore the labyrinth to normal, and you can go ahead and fight the bosses all over again. Now, who’s first?”
With Momo taking a step back and Alastar busy dissecting the vampire, the answer was quite obvious.
“So be it.” The Spider Queen cracked her neck. “Pixie vs. Pixie it is.”
“Huh?” Seth raised an eyebrow and even Alastar turned his head.
“What? My dad was a pixie,” said Yuki while increasing the gravity around Seth and swooping in with a wind blade.
The warrior countered the field with one of his own, but Yuki caught him with a string of web and hurled him into a wall.
“Let me guess… Your mom was a spider?”
“Half spider,” said Yuki before growing her nails into 10 inch claws. “Her dad was a werewolf.”
Seth ducked before the nails sliced through the wall like cheese. The warrior tried to pierce her with an earth spear, but but Yuki's skin was like steel.
“Mom's dad’s dad was a lizardman,” she shrugged. “Then, my great grandma from my dad’s side was a vampire. Her great grandma was a banshee. There’s a succubus on my mom’s side, and my cousin is a giant.”
As if to confirm her words, the Queen's skin turned into scales. She grew 10 inches in height plus bat-like fangs and two black wings. Her ears became sharp, and nine flaming tails sprung up from her back.
“My great, great, great grandfather’s mother was a flaming nine tailed hydra-fox,” she casually explained when the pixie pointed towards them. “Do you still want to fight?”
