The Great Labyrinth had 100 floors. Each floor had 100 monsters plus one boss that was stronger than all of them combined. Now, it was one room with 1.000 monsters, 100 bosses grinning behind them, and the boss of all those bosses in the form of a teenage girl.
“Well guys, It’s been fun,” one of the adventurers smiled nervously.
“I’ve heard the labyrinth near Amwood is pretty good.”
Slowly but surely, the gathered warriors were taking their leave. Yet, not all of them were satisfied with this outcome. Not all could allow evil to prevail.
“Do what you want, pathetic rabble,” said a blonde man with a giant sword. “But I, Hector the Great, will remain to do what’s right.”
“Suit yourself,” someone responded. The hero thought his speech would be empowering, but the crowd dispersed even faster than before. In just a couple of minutes, only his and one more party still remained near the entrance.
When this happened, Seth’s smile became as serene as a summer’s day. He waved towards Yuki and gave her a small bow.
“Are you glad I spared you?” the spider queen’s voice entered his mind.
“Yes,” he muttered. “That too.”
“Looks like I’ll have to call father,” the Hero sighed. “You should go home too, pixie. This is not a job for a weak…”
A gravity infused punch smashed into Hector’s jaw propelling him through the door straight into the middle of the monsters. While his allies panicked, a wave of wind swept them off their feet before another one threw them on top of their leader.
“Are you sure you want to give them a head start?” asked Alastar with a sarcastic smile.
“Shouldn’t we help them?” asked Momo.
Suddenly, the sound of hooves made them look back. A large white unicorn was galloping towards them.

“Where is my master?” he asked while swinging his immaculate mane. “Hector! What happened to you?”
As soon as the unicorn finished his sentence, he was sent flying head first into the cave. Behind him, an angry squirrel was snapping his tail.
“If they try to come out, we kick their butts,” ordered Seth.
“Yes, Sir!”
Despite his piss poor attitude, Hector lived up to his self proclaimed title of Hero. He and his teammates fought valiantly defeating one monster after another without rest. The Unicorn rushed through his enemies trampling and impaling dozens of creatures at a time.
In the end, after five hours of gruesome combat, their team had defeated the 1.000 monsters, but they were also on their last leg.
“Heal,” Hector whispered while falling to his knees.
“I’m out of mana,” his ally sighed.
They were all on their arms and knees, even the steed. When the first boss out of 100 came to swing his mighty club, they couldn’t even lift their heads to see it.
“Stop!” Yuki’s voice made her vassal retreat. “You’ve lost, humans. Join me as my slaves, and I shall spare your lives.”
“Never!” Hector grunted before barfing blood.
“Ah, come on!” Yuki shook in her seat. “I can upgrade the Labyrinth to 104 floors with you bunch. It’s gonna be fun fighting off adventurers, trust me.” She gave them her best saleswoman smile. It did not work.
Though his knees cracked and his sword was too heavy to lift, the Hero got up and faced his enemy.
“What a bore,” sighed Yuki while twirling her finger. Suddenly, Hector’s party was enveloped by light and teleported away. But, their belongings, weapons, and clothes remained behind.
“You’re a woman of good taste,” chuckled Alastar while following Seth in.
“Are you coming on to me?” asked Yuki while cupping her cheeks.
“Hell no!” the mage shuddered. “You remind me of my little sister.”
Yuki’s four eyes turned into slits. “Orc!” she shouted. “Kill him!”
The 5 feet tall green monster charged towards Alastar only to be disintegrated by a ball of rotting energy.
“You’re gonna have to do better than that,” grinned Seth. To his right was the steed. To his left was the mage. Together, they could face anything.
“Really?” Yuki raised an eyebrow. “So, be it!”
With a wave of her hand, the labyrinth bosses split into three groups. 30 lined up in a row in front of Seth. Another 30 lined up in front of Alastar. The remaining 39 bosses chose Momo.
“Why so many!?” he cried while hugging his tail.
“You would make a great labyrinth boss," said Yuki. "You’ll be known as the Doom Squirrel or The Furry of Death. Agree to join me, and I will send all your monsters towards the rude mage instead.”
Momo looked at Seth who in turn shook his head. Unfortunately, the squirrel was still bound by the ring on his neck. Escape was not an option. Only fighting would help.
