A3 Epilogue Part One

AN: I'm not one for writing "epic battles", as y'all should know by now, but here's this one.

As per usual, thank you all for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

"<>," I intoned, releasing four chaotic bolts of energy towards Azazel number one, and watched as she danced amongst the destructive forces hell bent on destroying her body. Instead, the Wendigos Brutus had summoned had somehow gotten in the way of my energy, and were blown away, which caused the pair of us to growl as he began an intonement to summon up one of his greater summons. Whereas I simply released more bolts down upon her form, and yes, she did dodge them as well.

"Really now, Undead Karastak, this one believed you had more tricks than a light show," she taunted towards my person as her grin filled up three-fourths of her features. After such tauntings, the little-girl-who-was-not-a-little-girl lashed out with her spear, piercing one of the remaining Wendigos in the chest with her spear, and launching it in my direction.

Of which was the batted off to one side by a lesser clawed hand, whilst I intoned, "<>!" From this, hundreds of fist sized spheres made up of pure darkness which sucked in the light of everything around it formed up in front of my person. These were then released one by one in rapid succession towards her person whilst Beelzebub danced behind my position with a grim look about his features. For you see, my dear audience, such orbs have the tendency to remove everything they touch from existence. Therefore, you would not wish to be within their path.

Yes. She knew of this spell, as she was the one to develop such a thing, and taught it to my person through the form of an ancient scroll found upon her world. To which her eyes widened greatly as her body scrambled to weave and dodge out of their way. When it appeared to be at an end, did she breathe a half sigh of relief.

Yes. I did say "half sigh of relief". For just as she began to sigh, did the barrage of orbs start up again, devouring all of reality around their persons as they continued onwards and into the Void Space around our persons. "This one is unamused, Undead Karastak," Azazel howled as a third barrage began to launch itself towards her person, "Why do you risk oblivion?"

No. I did not answer her person, and instead continued the intonement of such spells whilst she danced about the chaotic mass of orbs. Even as a fourth, fifth, and sixth barrage of spheres were unleashed upon her person, did I not speak.

This would continue until the ninth barrage was unleashed did I speak. For her foot was barely struck by one of the orbs, and she did cry out in great pain as a child would when something sharp lashes at their person. "Go," I commanded Beelzebub, just as Brutus had finished his summons, "She has been poisoned by the Orbs, and will be weakening greatly soon enough. So go quickly if you wish for revenge."

Of which caused the other to grin as his body flared with endarkened flames, and once they faded did we spy his form had become his Elven self with great wings like that of a bat. Whereupon he did launch his body towards the God King of Azzarath with his spear raised high in order to skewer her person. Yes. She did roll away from his weapon, and begun to exchange blows with his person just as I turned my own attention to that of Brutus and the others.

"<>," Brutus intoned, summoning up a large cadre of the fallen souls of the warriors he had absorbed during our time upon Azzarath. Of which contained many a Nomad from the deserts nearest the city of Crossroads, a few Elven archers, and a company of Human soldiers. Each of these had the visage of a Ghoul, in that their expressions were dull and lifeless, their features sunken and hollow.

"Stand tall and wait for my signal to attack," commanded the Lich King as the group leapt to obey with the company of Humans in a square formation with the spearmen in the front, swordsmen in the centre, and archers in the rear. These were then joined by the Nomads along the flanks, and the Elven archers behind the Human ones. Each of these, though hollowed eyed, were desiring a fight with the unknown. For they each needed to slay at least one thousand foes in order to escape the clutches of the one who summoned them, or else remain a slave forevermore.

After such a thing occurred, my attention turned towards Azazel number two. Whereupon I did notice she was... anxious, and pointed towards her own sister who was battling the God of Gluttony with great ferocity. However, she then stopped upon noticing my stare, released a small, "Eep," and hid behind Sarah. Of whom glanced under her arms to stare at the child-like Goddess, then towards my person.

"I think she's scared of you, Ageless," she commented as the other was pulled out from behind her person.

"Good," came my reply as I turned away from their persons and towards the fight at hand. No. It was not going well for Beelzebub, of whom became more defensive the moment Azazel number one became somewhat feverish due to the fact that the Orb which had scraped her exposed foot was filled with a toxin that threatened her very existence.

One of you has just asked if it was another of the Forbidden Spells in my arsenal, and that answer would be a yes, and a no. Yes, if you mean, "Can I learn it?" No, if you mean, "Can I cast it?" For you see, if one can learn such a thing when it is unlearnable by the standard methods, then there is no harm in casting such a thing. That is, only if you are able to pay the price for such magicks, as there is a chance you will perish along with your target. Hence the reason why Azazel number one inquired if I had a death wish when casting the Orbs.

In any case, it was at this point that I sent out a tendril towards Beelzebub, wrapped it around his waist, and hauled his person towards my own. This was done so just as the other had already knocked his weapons away and was about to land a grievous wound upon his person. Of course, she was none too amused by any of this, growling and gritting her teeth whilst preparing for a charge towards my position.

However, this soon changed as dozens of spectral arrows rained down upon her position. Whereupon she did twirl her own weapon in front of her person in order to deflect and block the arrows. Now, if she held a more physical weapon, then the God King of Azzarath would have been at a greater risk of being stuck than she would with her energy-spear. Of which continued even as the spearmen under Brutus's control charged her person, and only once they were within a few metres did the arrow-rain stop in order to allow their ghostly comrades a chance to fight their newest foe.

Though, of course, each was blown away with a single sweep of her spear, it did not seem to bother the spectres. Unless they were completely obliterated by her attacks, they each simply stood up and resumed their chargings. However, such things soon came to an end, as she did shout, "Enough," and scorched the entirety of the spectres that attacked her person.

"This has gone on long enough," Azazel number one had growled vehemently as sweat continued to bead upon the whole of her body, leaving trails in the dried blood which coated her small body.

"Azrael, stop this," cried out her own sister, and poked her head out from behind Sarah, "You've had your fun, now stand down."

"Ah, little sister," sneered the other, "You were always such a bore. This one knew you should have been killed instead of imprisoned. Perhaps it was a weakness of youth, or something else. Who knows?" In so saying, she shrugged her shoulders and prepared to attack one again, but this time, called upon the strength in which had been collected from the worlds under her command.

This was in the form of a great orb which slowly grew upon the tip of her spear, as it was drawn back behind her person. It was as though she intended to fling it towards our person the moment it was finished.

Now, many of you would believe that a "Villain" would allow the "Hero" to collect their strength unopposed. However, that has resulted in the downfall of many an evil being over the last few centuries. One that was rectified almost immediately after it came to light, as each of the surviving "Villains" were given a sound beating as the lesson of them continuing their attacks so as to disrupt their opponent's "Final Move".

Oh yes, such a thing was quite annoying, and one that is no longer an issue within my own Pantheon, but I digress once more.

As she began to condense her own energies, I and mine threw our own energies down upon her person. Whilst Azazel number one held a look of indignation as we did so, and even complained about it not being at all fair, or us "cheating". For she believed we would have created a barrier of some sort to absorb or deflect her strength, instead of trying to disrupt it.

"Such naivety will have you slain, Azazel," my voice shook the entirety of the space we were occupied, as the last of her energies dissipated and she had begun to pant quite heavily.

"You will not get away with this, Undead Karastak," came her growl as she clung to her spear whilst kneeling upon the ground. Whereas I simply stalked forward with the others behind my person as I became my kitsune self.

"I already have, little God King," came my reply as my right paw wrapped itself around the back of her neck, and hoisted her high into the air. This caused her to struggle somewhat, and lashed out feebly with her spear. Of which was then swatted away by my person just as the other Azazel rushed to my side with pleading eyes.

"Please don't kill her."

"And what reason do you have that I should not, hmm?" came my own inquiry, "Should we simply toss her person into another prison? Banish her to the Abyss? Or force her to endure a punishment worse than death for all eternity?" These queries left her stunned for a time, whereas the other spoke a string of profanities as she continued to struggle.

"No," I continued, "I have another idea in mind, and one in which you will help me achieve. Whether you like it, or not."
