A2 Chapter 11

AN: Have to put in a disclaimer for this one, as there's a slight NSFW scene within this info dump, but not enough to warrant a bracketed version of the link to this chapter. After this chapter comes the world conquering saga of our MC. We'll most likely be seeing him go through two worlds (no promises, but it is planned out) before reaching the Necropolis, where you'll be in for a real treat. Here's a hint: He's received one of his greatest wishes, and you've all already been introduced to them.

Anyways, bit of a sappy end to the chapter, with a bit of an explanation at the beginning of the next one. As always folks, thank you for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

'Before we continue, I must inform you of what these two gods were,' whispered the mental voice of their Ageless, as all continued their journey towards the Necropolis, 'The human god was indeed a God of Harems, but it was only self-styled. Which means this was what it considered itself as, but it was not the truth. No. Instead, it was a simple God of Humans, and was of the Neutral Good alignment upon the morality scale.

'You see,' a mental image of their own god appeared within the minds of all of those touched by the Mindflayer, in the form of a patient elder teaching everyone as though they were mere children, 'When various humans perish completing a great deed of some sort, they are given a slim chance to become a god. This cretin killed a Lord of Chaos, and became a god after being killed by a final attack.'

Each mind saw their own Ageless flex his right clawed hand with controlled anger, before he continued with, 'Ah, the Lords of Chaos is an order of gods and goddesses of which I belong to. My sub category, of which I have sole ownership over all who associate within it, is of Chaotic Mana and Illusions. All upon our world of Terra are well aware of this, but some choose to not remember or mind it.

'In any case, killing a Lord of Chaos is a great sin upon my mind, which led to this pathetic excuse of a god to die in the most brutal way possible. As to what methods were used, we shall come to that soon enough.' Many minds expressed their disappointment with not being told what methods were used, but all strived to be patient as their own god continued with the explanation of the other god.

'Now the other god, this golem, was of the Pure Neutral alignment upon the morality scale. It was also a God of Numbers, and seemed to be able to use such numbers in the prediction of various events surrounding it.' To this thought, each turned to spy their own ageless pointing a clawed finger towards each of the orcs within their small army, 'To those who do not know, much of the orc race upon our world of Terra have gods for nearly every action, item, idea, and so on. They were correct, in a sense, as there are such gods out there,' one of his great hands raised itself to wave across the heavens above his person, 'Yes, there is a god and goddess for everything. However, there is not a god for gods within our universe. No, we are simply the highest power out there, and will continue to be thusly until someone comes along to take up such a mantle. We shall see if it is even possible to do so.

'In any case, this golem is one of the stone race, and its body is shaped into that of a naked, male human, but without anything betwixt its legs.' He paused in his thoughts to allow many to laugh at such a mental image, and continued with, 'The golem race does not reproduce through copulation as many others would. Instead, the race is magickally created through the shared energies of two or more golems who share in the desire to create offspring. These creatures, no matter what aspect of gender they took, would combine their energies with flawless perfection, creating a perfect rendition of all their combined strengths and weaknesses into the creature, or creatures, between them.

'It is,' the Ageless paused for a moment, searching for the correct word to describe such an event, 'simply beautiful to view such a being created.' A silence was cast over all, as the mind of their god stopped speaking into their own for a time. The only sounds heard was the rumbling of the stone cart, and their own bodies moving forwards through the soft packed earth of the Plains of Nu'Ohn.

What was truly curious was not only their silence, but the lack of the earth quaking upon each footstep their Ageless took every time he strode forward. To such an odd spectacle, many voiced their concerns as to why this is so, to which he responded with a question, 'What do you see when you look upon my person? Do you see what I am, or another?'

Nearly all voiced either mentally or vocally that he was a giant creature standing high above the clouds in the sky above. Yet one, a bear beastman who had not earned its metallic fur and flesh, spoke of him being a dark furred kitsune. To this response, all spaced themselves away from the beastman, as the towering giant's clawed forefinger pointed itself towards its body, and spoke in a language unheard of throughout the world.

A tower of endarkened light fell from the heavens, slamming its body into the earth as the energies coursed throughout the creature's being and essence. So great was the pressure of this tower, many felt a pull towards it, but their bodies were instead pushed away by some unknown force, as the light continued to pour itself upon the unfortunate victim. However, in mere moments the tower of endarkened light ended, and what remained was the grisly scene of a tortured and skinned body of the bear beastman. Of whom had been laid face down upon a wooden table, as its back had been torn open, and its rib cage torn out in such a way to resemble the wings of some great bird.

What is more, its lungs, still attached to its insides, were now draped around its neck, as it slowly suffocated from the lack of oxygen within its body. "It's still alive," exclaimed the Naga, who moved farther away from the tortured body of the dying bear beastman. However, upon turning towards the Ageless, they spied a small group of unknown beings floating about his head, and seemed to be conversing about what had taken place within the tower of endarkened light.

This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road; report any instances of this story if found elsewhere.

Within mere heartbeats of noticing these unknown beings, they seemingly winked out of existence, journeying elsewhere to fulfill an unknown desire of their god. "M-my L-l-lord God?" Stuttered the Naga, whose body shook with terror as its mind slowly understood what had happened to the beastman lying down upon the wooden table.

'Do not worry; all is well,' soothed the mental whisper of their Ageless as the terror within its, and others' bodies fled from themselves, 'Allow me to explain what has happened. The body with which I currently wear is real, however, there is another body upon my person, but has been cast into an illusion that is only seen by those who are not do not consider themselves as "mine" upon this world of Terra.

'This secondary body is of my dark furred kitsune self, which is used in preventing the earth from quaking each time I stride forwards. You all may see me moving with a slow step, but those who are not my followers, my servants, or simply under my protections, only see my kitsune self floating above you all. Those of whom see my kitsune self are to be questioned thoroughly, especially when there are others conspiring to remove my rights of godhood over our world of Terra.

'Even more so when it turns out they are spies or saboteurs dedicated to infiltrating and disrupting our work upon our world of Terra. These are not only questioned thoroughly, but made examples of in order to frighten others from tempting my people away from my person.' The eyes of their Ageless's giant self glared a baleful crimson, bathing all and much of the land with its blood filled colour of hatred and anger. For a moment, none dared to move, as though they were afraid to incur his wrath upon themselves, but that moment did not last. As the light of his great eyes receded in on themselves, and he directed them to move once more.

'Come,' whispered his soothing mind once more, 'we have tarried too long as it is, as there is much ground to cover, and the story has yet to be completed. Know that those who follow my words, dedicate their lives in servitude towards my being, or are simply under my protections will know no fear, no wants, hunger, or thirst, so long as I am governing over our world of Terra. For all who are thusly are my family, and I take good care of my family.'

As to the other two "gods" within the garden world created by Azazel, they were still upset about not being able to utilise their own abilities to the fullest. My own mind, on the other hand, was forming a plan to kill the other two and steal their gifts for my own. To this end, I allowed Brutus to hear my thoughts, which allowed him to voice several concerns. One of which was, "We do not know their abilities, My Lord God, nor do we know how greatly they will affect us once released upon our great persons."

"You are correct in your assumptions, Brutus," my reply was barely a whisper, as we stood side by side with the little-girl-who-was-not-a-little-girl rocking back and forth upon her heels in front of a large, translucent sphere about the size of my current clawed hand. This sphere, once it began to glow, would signal our acceptance into the Abyss, and the first world for us to conquer. Myself, in particular, would simply kill anyone who stood in my way, no matter their standing, if they will not bow to my will.

Once the world is conquered, however, we are to simply enact a simple spell given to us. This spell would serve as a beacon, and notify the pantheon of gods that the world was now ready to leave the Abyss, returning to its original position in the universe. As to where its original position was, that really depends on the former gods, or their descendants, if they desire to take up the world they lost.

If, however, they do not desire it, or if the ones who had conquered it do desire the world, then it will be up to the pantheon of Azzarath to decide who obtains the rights to said world. No, I will not spoil the ending by telling everyone who ended up with the possession of this first world. Just know that I enjoyed myself upon such a world immensely.

"Perhaps we should use the Undying in this venture, My Lord God," spoke up the Lich, who, if he had a face, would be sneering towards the humans and their petty squabbles.

"Indeed we shall," I replied, as the sphere near Azazel began to spin, radiating all colours and of none. This signaled all to gather, as my body slowly transformed itself into a sword for Brutus to handle. He did so by grasping my hilt, and gently gripping my sword blade whilst keeping it close to his chest.

"Good luck," was all the head of the pantheon said to us, as each began to enter the sphere with some form of great hesitation.

Brutus and I were the last to step through the annoyingly bright portal, but before that we were stopped by Sarah, the goddess of whom I would take for a wife in the cycles to come. She desired to see my person before I journeyed onwards, to which I obliged by standing tall in my Kobold form. To this she sighed an exasperated sigh, then kissed my lips for, but a moment which felt as though eternity sped past us by without a second glance.

Truly, it was a wondrous feeling. Upon being released, however, I nearly missed her words of, "Asara Amaak a' A'Nuhl."

"Be safe, my Wings of Dreams."
