AN: It is official, I'm done writing the second arc. Which means, my dear ladies and gentlemen, y'all will receive two chapters a day until it's all out there. I've even come up with a new summary, but can't use it until after the Epilogues are up. :(

Oh, and there's a major twist in the next chapter.

As always folks, thank you all for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

"...So you see, there are two measurements of time upon our world of Terra," chuckled the male Dragonock as he grinned down upon the remaining two slavers. Of the pair, the third was in the gullet of the wyvern who was in the process of digesting its feast of the night prior to this. One way it digested was through sleep, whilst another was through exercise. The latter is what it did, as it was simply trudging along next to a wooden cart whilst the male rode its back.

As for the female called Siuun, she was busy humming an off key tune she once heard somewhere. Whilst her eyes were seemingly staring at nothing, her hands were busy cleaning and polishing the blade of the scythe. This action seemed to unnerve the remaining pair, who was told in great detail by the other what had happened after they fled into the forest.

"As I was saying, in terms of time, there are two measurement you need to be away of. One is Cycles, the other is Years. Of course, all of the surrounding worlds within our system uses the measurement of Cycles, but this does not mean they have forgotten what 'Years' means. By the by, one year is usually broken into twelve months containing three tendays, and each of those days last from our version of dawn to about midday. Quite odd, to be honest.

"In any case, one Cycle equates to about one point five Years, or eighteen months. Really depends on your preference. Now, our Lord High God spoke of how He would be leaving our world of Terra in the hands of the Lich King, Lord Brutus, for a century. This is what you all know, but what you didn't know was which century He meant. For you see, one century of our measurement is about one hundred and fifty years, whilst one century of Years is sixty and seven cycles.

"Which means, my dear sirs," the male leaned over to grin maniacally at the captives, of whom shrank further into the opposite corner, "Our Lord High God has been upon our world of Terra for eighteen cycles, and only now has deigned to reclaim His throne."

Within a small room filled with papers and scrolls of parchment sat an endarkened furred Kitsune who was called Ageless. This being sat in front of a large, wooden desk covered in such sheets, as he read through and scribbled some notes before tossing them into another large pile dedicated to being sent out towards its recipients. Normally he would be alone as he did this, for he desired to dive back into the routine of work which included signing documents and permits for various projects many have.

Yes. Many would see it amiss, as a normal ruler would do his or her best to avoid such a task and leave it for others. However, he was not a ruler, but a god who loved his world more so than any others, and would strive to be the perfect ruler. Of which entails the meticulous task of sorting through the piles of paperwork and scrolls of parchment. In this he found some enjoyment, as he seemed to live through the peoples' lives as they desired permission for some unknown idea, or through a report of what had happened before they wrote such a tale. This, and more, always left him with a smile upon his lips, whilst he continued to live through his people before scribbling a few notes or signing such pieces in order to bring about their ideas.

Of course, there will always be the more foolish ideas which needed to be discarded, as he abhorred their wants which would lead to the destruction of lives as a cost to their greed. These individuals were then promptly visited by an Undying in training with a few Dolls, as they gave their Gods' decree of not following through with their wants, desires, or demands. This, of course, usually tended to their persons being watched heavily for a cycle, or had their lives turned upside down if their greed warranted such a degree. For if they did, then something would usually turn up, as a Minflayer was normally called in to discern the truth from the male, or female, who proposed such wanton destruction for the sake of increasing their greed.

Then again, these were very rare occurrences, less so now that the world knows of the return of their God. Of whom would always take a personal interest in the lives of those who walked upon the soil of His world. This meant the residents would never need fear of going hungry, of not having a roof over their head, or be in danger of that which was within the wilderness. As since the beginning of his rule, all manner of creatures which were considered dangerous, such as "Demonic Beasts", were placed upon the various other worlds he controlled in order to lead this world into an age of prosperity and peace.

However, this did not mean the residents of Terra would grow fat and lazy. No. Each who came of age, and those with a desire, were allowed to enter the other worlds in order to train against the dangers of those worlds. For although his world of Terra was a paradise, the other worlds did not have such luck, even if they were protected by the Ageless.

Stolen content warning: this tale belongs on Royal Road. Report any occurrences elsewhere.

Instead, minour Gods and Goddesses were given the reigns of governing such worlds, so long as they intended to stay within the Pantheon he had created. Thus, those worlds had such chaotic elements within, as their own patrons could not contain all of the dangers. Of which led to them relying on each other and their God King for assistances such as allowing their people to come and help clear away some of the dangers.

Of which led to many desiring the help of those summoned from Azzarath's domain. This would lead to more desiring the same, but the Ageless, even though he relented to such desires, had only one rule. No Humans. His reasoning as to why this race was not allowed was simple, as their own histories had told the tales many times. They were more greedy and destructive than most other races, which also led to much of the race to desire the enslavement of others, or their complete extinction just for their differences.

Yes. Many of these humans had even gone a step further, and wiped out the rest of their worlds' races simply for the thought of "I am better than you". This was what many of the minour gods and goddesses had witnessed before their secession from Azzarath's Pantheon, and the joining of Terra's. However, they still had ties to the former, and did not wish to burn such bridges. Of which ended with the God King's acceptance of their desires, and spoke with Azazel at great length for the right to allow others to come to their system of worlds.

So long as they adhere to his rule of "No Humans", he did not care who was sent over.

Now? Now there was humans upon his world of Terra, and one of the ways to deal with them was to send them back to Azzarath with the hope they will be punished for breaking the only law for transference to his system. However, he was loathe to proceed down such an avenue, and had invited Azazel to meet with him at the party which would be held that turn.

This party, by the by, was to celebrate the coming of age for the child of Brutus called Denna. However, he was still disappointed in the child, as she had tried to impose laws which did not sit well with one such as he. Such as the taxes and slavery upon those who desired to live within his world.

A door had opened slowly at this time, to which the Kitsune's ears twitched slightly, then once more as it shut with the occupant slowly moving forward towards his desk. This led to him setting down the writing tool in his right paw, then cradled his head as he rubbed his temples slowly. "You have made quite the mess, child of Brutus." His voice was quite, but was enough to cause the other's movements to halt, then shuffle around in the same spot.

This then led to his gaze pinning the vampire in her spot, to which she remained stiff as his gaze grew heavier with displeasure. This time, she wore an endarkened, crimson frilly dress with a light pink undershirt poking out from around her collar. Many would call its style "Gothic", for it  suited her person well enough. The skin of one such as she was the same colour as the stone of the castle, which made her red lips and eyes stand out. Her hair, however, was of shadows so dark it seemed to drink in the surrounding light so that she was able to brighten the room considerably more.

However, he was not at all amused at her desire to stand out, of which was apparent in his eyes and demeanour towards her person. "I-," she began, but was stalled from speaking out due to him raising his right paw. Which was then used to pinch the area between his eyes in a manner which denotes the staving off a perceived headache.

"Brutus has told me of your failures, Denna. Of how your culinary and embroidery skills are nil, of how you tried to melt a Dwarven anvil, and encased a fire mage in ice." A breath of air was released soon after these words were spoken, "Do you know what your purpose in life is?" At a shake of her head, he continued with, "You are to provide value for my person. Hence the reason why I allotted my Lich King the chance at raising a child in order to experiment upon any of his remaining paternal instincts.

"He has done much for you, Denna, and still tries to protect your person knowing full well the price of failure." At this point, she tried to open her small mouth in order to voice a query, but was quieted once more, "The price of failure, little Vampire, is death."

This caused her to gasp, as she took a step backwards, away from the being in front of her, then turned to flee only to find him standing in front of the doorway. "Where do you think you are going, child of Brutus?" Asked the Ageless, whose tone was very dangerous at this point, "Do you think to run for your 'Papa', and warn him of my coming? He knows full well that he has failed, but still tries to expend one more favour."

"Which is?" asked the other in a small voice.

"You are to be my apprentice, little Vampire, which will begin within a moon. For now though, you are to be readying yourself for the party, as I have already invited my own guests to discuss your blunder upon my world of Terra."

In so saying, he waved a paw in her general direction, and she found herself right next to a pile of manure which assaulted her nose enough to make her scream.
