A3 Chapter 2

AN: http://i.imgur.com/Avt7z8e.jpg There's my hairy arm with an IV thing in it, for anyone who doubted me, but didn't voice it.

Anyways, putting this up now 'cause I'll probably be asleep for a good long while. Very annoying, but not much to do about it.

As always, thank you for reading thus far. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to voice them.

"You want our Lord to do what?" growled Brutus, of whom slammed his four fists upon a table. We had found ourselves inside a more private room after exiting the hallway, where the only individuals present were my person, Azazel, my Lich, and Sia. All others went elsewhere to do as they wished until I called for their aid.

As to why he was angry enough to almost ruin a table placed before us, well, "Now, now, Lich Brutus," grumbled the little-girl-child-who-was-not-a-child, as she took a sip of mulled wine from a wooden cup in her hands, "It is as this one had explained before. Undead Karastak needs to mask his godhood to keep the other from noticing him as he treads upon Terra. One way to do this is to put a seal upon his magicks in order for him to begin his tasks of world domination." She took another sip of her wine, closing her eyes and smiling greatly as the warmth of the alcohol spread throughout her small body.

"But that will reduce our Lord's strength to, but a babe's," called out the Lich, who was not at all amused at the prospect of my losing nearly all of my magicks in order to walk upon our world, "Can we not simply have the rights to enter our Home and lay waste to that which should not be a part of it?"

"No," I muttered softly, "If what I gathered from her words, Brutus, she does not want a major war to afflict her Pantheon. Is this not so?" At her nod, I continued with, "Then I shall have an item forged which will mask my strength, and take care to not over extend my person as I search for this 'False God'."

In so saying, a grand portal appeared behind my person, and in walked an old dwarf with snow-white hair which seemed to cover his entire body as he walked slowly with slow steps. Gripped in his right, gnarled hand was a thick, oak staff which was well worn with use. This dwarf, by the by, is a Son of Hephaestus, and one of my closest allies. As for his name, he did not have one, but those children my Chosen had taken in have called him, "Grandpa Time". For he is able to manipulate Time itself, as well as being the best to work the golden anvil known as the "Heart of Hephaestus".

"Yes, My Lord God?" His voice was like the rubbings of two boulders against one another with a bit of sand to cause more friction, as his body bent low until I steadied him with my magicks.

"You most of all should know how much I detest the bowings and grovelings towards my person, Grandfather of Time," this led to some chuckling on his part, as he hobbled closer, "I shall be needing an item from you once more. This time, it needs to be small enough for my person to wear whilst being unnoticed. However," I held up a claw from my right paw, "it needs to be strong enough for my own magicks. As it will be used to mask my strength as I venture towards another world.

"Can this be done?"

The dwarf paused for a time, as his left hand appeared from underneath all of his hair to stroke the beard covering his front, "If it were by any other tools, then it cannot, but as we have the Heart, then it shall be done so, My Lord God." In so saying, he turned back towards the portal in order to venture through, but paused for a moment to ask, "When did you need such an item?"

"As soon as possible," were my words, as he simply nodded and entered the portal just as it shut behind him.

"No sealings needed, Azazel," my voice rumbled softly, causing small tremors within our shared room, "For I place more trust in my servants than I do anyone else at this moment." She seemed quite upset at something I had said, and tried to hide her displeasure in the cup of mulled wine.

No. I never did ask why she was upset, only that I noted such a thing, and did not allow it to bother my person. In any case, she went on to explain more about her desires of my person amassing an army in order to distract the other gods. However, I expressed my thoughts on such a venture, as I had only a handful of dwarves and a multitude of Demons. Along with my Undying, they would not be able to distract more than one, perhaps two, gods at a time.

To this, the other grinned in quite the evil manner, "Don't worry Undead Karastak. For this one knows where to find your army."

"Very well," my voice came out in a sigh, as I rubbed my temples in order to stave off another imaginary headache, "but no Humans."

"No humans," she agreed, sipping her tea once more.

"Now, I must ask if any of you had gone on to become Adventurers throughout the various worlds within my Pantheon." There were a few bobbing heads from the Gods and Goddesses present, but the majority came from those who had achieved immortality or just came of age. Whereas those others simply looked on with confusion at why the Ageless brought this up.

Help support creative writers by finding and reading their stories on the original site.

"Yes. Then you know of the Adventurers' Board within each Guild Hall, correct?" Those who gave their ascent became more confused, but nodded once more, "Very well. The reason why I inquired towards such a thing is to speak on about how Azazel amassed an army for my person. This was by placing a message upon a special board directed towards a world full of nothing, but Humans.

"For you see, these Humans have dominated their world, which had grown to such a degree as to allowed a safe travel for mortals to stretch across the inhabitable worlds near their own. As such, because of their domination, they had destroyed much of the surface, causing them to spread out in search of a better home. However," he held up one claw of his right paw, "before these creatures had done all these things, they were quite dependent upon one system which allowed them to take part in various events surrounding Azzarath and the various worlds.

"In this, the Humans had various boards and forums which were similar to the Adventurers' own Board to post various activities, reports, and requests. Of which is where she placed a 'Call to Arms' post for war. Now, unlike our own system of using this board, theirs was automatic. Meaning, everyone had access to it in the same instance it was put up."

Those of whom were used to the rambling speech of their God King nodded and explained to those still unsure as to what he just spoke of. One of such was a Goddess of the Spring, and her form was of a naked, moss covered Dryad with flowers atop her head. "You know when a request is put up, it's on a sheet of parchment, correct?" The others nodded at her words, "When there is a great battle which will take place in some nearby country, and a call to arms is issued, do you know how long it would take?"

"Forever," muttered a Gorgon, whose eyes had been blindfolded in order to not use her gift of turning the living into stone, "I remember a war up on Forge about three cycles back, where a city of elves almost lost to a bunch of goblins. All because they could not request the assistances of us Adventurers fast enough."

"Yes," nodded the Kistune, who leaned back and crossed his right leg over his left, whilst placed his elbows upon the arm rests, and gently placed the pads of his paws against one another, "However, these Humans had a system which allowed near instant travel between their own Boards, and had all access it soon afterwards.

"As to why I had a need to speak of such pathetic creatures? Well, many of them had chosen to forsake their race in order to become others. Most of which seemed to be Elves, as they had an odd fascination with such a race within their cultures. Whereas another would be the Vampires and Werewolves, as there were many plays surrounding these two races. No. I do not know why they loved these three races so much, but no matter. In the end, those who came were of these races, whilst the rest were a combination of all other races.

"However, there were still some very annoying Humans who tried to infiltrate this gathering. What they did not know, on the other hand, was that I had placed a Sear Enchantment spell upon the entryway. Of which was used to simply strip away any enchantments which were used for disguise, whilst they still believed it was still active. For the spell I had placed was subtle in this instance-"

"Um, Ageless," an Elven maiden raised her hand slowly, interrupting the other whose eyes were full of infinite patience for their persons.

"Yes, Annara?" he asked slowly, tilting his head towards his right shoulder whilst his ears twitched forward.

"Um," she began once more, not at all enjoying the attention of everyone else as they stared upon his person. For a time she hesitated, whilst the other sat silently as she gathered up the courage to speak her query, "Is there a chamber pot or latrine anywhere? I really need to go." With these words, her face was flushed scarlet as her legs squirmed where she sat.

"Ah," he blinked, finally understanding why she was like this, "Forgive my person, as I had merely assumed you knew how this pocket dimension works," the God's voice was full of soft amusement for those who were still mortal, "For you see, this world which surrounds us has a particular function to it. You do not need food nor drink, unless you desire it; you do not need sleep, as it will give you rest; you do not need a chamber pot, or latrine, for all you need to do is simply will that which is within you to be gone.

"In other words, my dear, simply imagine yourself using a pot or latrine if you need to go, and the substance within your body will be as though it never existed at all." After such words were spoken, those who had the need to release what was in their bodies blinked a few times, then slowly relaxed their facial features as their eyes grew in wonderment at the absence of need.

"Ah, speaking of which, this only occurs in here. So once you leave, you'll need to retrain your person to use the latrine or pot. Unless, of course, you want to walk around with soiled clothing for a time?"
