Elianora looks at the old man in front of her. Even with Rika’s spirit magic (the greater spirit), it didn’t damage him at all. Just who is he?
Lady Elianora, this foe doesn’t seem to be normal. I sense a deep evil within him, says Elias, the legendary spirit.
So do I, my master. Please flea before it’s too late, says Rika.
‘No,’ exclaims Elianora to the two spirits. ‘This man dared to touch the body of a royal. I must kill him.’
With that determination, Elianora plunges her hand within the ground. Two wood dragons sprout out of the ground with their maws wide open, charging at the man. The old man raises an eyebrow as if surprised before a subtle smile appears on him.
Damn you, I’ll kill you!
With that thought, Elianora’s wooden dragons finally reaches the man. He moves one hand from behind his back and aims at the wooden dragons. With his middle finger pressed against his thumb, he flicks it. A deafening shock wave blasts out of the flick, obliterating the two wooden dragons as if they are nothing.
Chunks of wood rain down the ground as Elianora’s eyes are left wide open due to shock. With just a flick? How?
“Spirit magic is quite fascinating,” the man says. “To be able to use magic without a need for a spell, a magic circle or casting time. Quite fascinating indeed. Now I understand why ‘she’ described spirit magic as the purest form of magic.”
Elianora bites her lip hard and prepares both her hands this time.
Elias, I’ll need you.
Understood, lady.
She thrusts them hard on the ground. The ground vibrates as if an earthquake would occur. However, something even more terrifying appears. Dozen wooden dragons spring out from the ground, charging at the old man with full force.

Truly incredible. I never had the chance to witness another person use spirit magic beside myself. So, seeing someone using it is really fascinating. The purest form of magic, that’s how Gaia described it. Spirits use magic much easily than us humans since they are connected to the Spirit kings who are the very reason for the existence of the laws, the very essence of magic.
With spirit magic, you basically borrow the power of the spirits and unleash it as your own. Unlike the whole process of using mana to gather magic particles of your attribute to cast a spell.
I look at the 12 dragons charging at me. A finger flick isn’t enough to destroy these ones, so I clench my fist. I wonder how much force is needed. I hope I don’t accidentally kill her.
With a simple thrust from my fist, the 12 dragons are annihilated into smithereens. The shock wave didn’t stop however as it continues heading directly to the princess who is awe struck. Using magic, I form a barrier, shielding her from the impact of the shock wave. As the dust consumed the area, the princess stands there helplessly.

Unable to continue the manifestation of her spirits, they disappear without a trace. Blood trickles down her nose as she flobs on the ground with her knees.
“Are you done now?” I ask.
“Heh,” a chuckle escapes from her mouth. “You are definitely powerful. However, if you’re expecting me to beg for my life, then I’ll have to disappoint you on that part. We elves are a proud race. So, get it over with and kill me.”
“Kill you? Didn’t I mention I came to rescue you?” I say with my hand on my chin.
“Rescue me? You think I’m that naïve. If you really came here to rescue me, why would you use magic to conceal your true self?”
Huh, she saw through my transformation magic? I know elves are sensitive to energy but even the one I rescued at night didn’t seem to see through it. Is it because of Gaia’s blessing?
“You’re really something. Then if I revealed my true self. Will you believe me?”
“Maybe,” she says arrogantly.
Sigh, here goes nothing. My body releases a blinding light as my figure returns to my normal self. Transformation magic on a person is not a pretty sight to behold. Bones deform, skin elongates. It’s just an unsightly process that would make anyone throw up their lunch.
So that doesn't happen, I added this blinding effect. After the light subsides, a small figure, who is at least 5’5 appears. Snow white hair, tunned-caramel skin and sea deep blue eyes.
“Happy now?” I ask.
She didn’t respond. Instead, she stands there, eyes wide open in disbelief. Her face flushes red, as no words could escape her mouth. It seems she’s tongue tied. Is she amazed by how young I am? Well, we should be the same age, right?
I walk over to her as she blushes, unable to look at me.
“So, what’s your name?” I ask her.
“Ahh, E-Elia… nora?”
“Are you asking me?”
“Ahh, so… rry. I-It’s Elianora. Elianora Vylkas. That’s my name. A-and you?”
“Allen. No last name.”
“So y-you’re a commoner,” she says before murmuring something. “To think you are truly a human. Ridiculous.”
After a brief moment of recovering from the mental shock, Elianora finally speaks.
“So, who sent you to save me?”
Feeling annoyed that I must explain everything, I decide to snap my fingers. Instantly, the elf I rescued last night appears right next to her. The two elves are stunned but I don’t really care.
“Ah, how did I get here? Heh, who are you?” she says as she looks at me.
Well, I guess it makes sense she wouldn’t know me since in her mind, I was an old man. Sigh, I’m tired of talking. I don’t want to explain.
“Sierra?”
A chill fills the air. Even I fill the change in the atmosphere. Just from saying one word, Elianora’s killing intent turns the entire place icy cold. Sierra is stunned as she creaks her head in Elianora’s direction, pale faced. Seeing the princess’s face, she drops hard to the ground on both knees, head bowed down.
“P-princess Elianora. I’m glad that you are safe. I-I asked an old man to rescue my Lady. I’m glad you are well and safe-“
“Shut it,” says Elianora coldly. Her voice filled with command and majesty. I couldn’t believe the girl who was so flushed a minute ago was the same as the one standing in front of me.
Her commanding tone sends shivers down Sierra as she trembles in fear.
“How dare you show your face in front of me traitor?” Elianora says coldly.
“B-but my Lady-“
A wooden vine sprouts from the ground slashing Sierra’s ear clean off. That is then accompanied by her piercing scream. Damn, this princess is quite ruthless. Maybe I shouldn’t have teleported the poor girl here.
“I don’t remember giving you permission to speak.”
The poor girl holds her mouth with both hands, muffling out her sniffling.
“Good. It seems you only needed one good ear to listen. You can speak.”
“T-they promised me to bring back my sister. I-I’m very sorry my Lady.” Sierra says crying a river.
A light smile appears on Elianora’s face. One filled with warmth.
“I forgive you, Sierra.”
Hope fills the battered elf girl as she looks up at her master, joy filling her heart.
“Thank you my La-“
Blood splashes the ground red as a wooden vine pierces Sierra’s head, killing her instantly. Her face still smiling, collapses to the ground lifelessly.
“I guess it’s true what they say about elves,” I speak. “You don’t take too kindly on betrayals.”
