The next day, early in the morning, I decide to take a break from training and go down to the village. Even though I want to experiment what my newly made core can do and also, about that weird golden energy. I know that if I don’t take breaks then I might just die training like I almost did.
IN THE VILLAGE
The village has improved a lot these past years. We even built a wall around the village using stones and cement. Of course, I made the cement using my knowledge. The reason why we built a wall was because, a few years ago, a wave of monsters charged straight into the village.
The village wasn’t strong enough to face those beasts so I intervened. I didn’t want people to know about my powers but the fate of the village rested on my hands so I fought. I used high-level magic to defeat them but their numbers kept rising and so I used weather-level magic, weather control: a thousand lightning strikes.
Of course, I didn’t shoot a thousand lightning strikes from the clouds, just enough to annihilate the enemies. After that the villagers had a lot of questions. I was also thinking about leaving and never coming back to the village but the village chief and Stacy managed to calm everybody down.
Then the village chief and the captain of the village guards asked me for a favour and that was to train the village guards. And so, I started training them both physically and how to control their mana. Now, at least four of them are able to take down an orc and the captain of the guards is able to take down an orc all by himself.
Since I was already helping, I decided to go all the way. I built the wall with them and also built some new houses in the village and after a few years, this village has developed significantly.
“Oh, hey Allen. It's rare for you to come down from the forest. Are you here to sell some of your materials?” asks a village guard who is stationed at the front gate.
“Yeah, and I'm kinda craving for Granny Alma’s food.” “Aaah, don’t talk about that. You are making me hungry. Oh by the way, thanks for the armour you gave us. I know we keep thanking you but with this armour, our safety is already assured.”
The armour that he is talking about was made by the village’s blacksmith, Gonz. Using the materials I harvested from monsters, I would ask him to craft some armour. Of course, at first the armour he crafted was for me, and I stored them at my place. But after sometime I realised that I had no use for them so instead of them gathering dust in my storage unit, I gave them to the village guards.
Right now, they are wearing armour made of the monsters I hunted.
I then enter the village. It is lively as ever. The kids are playing around, some with the balls I made from leather and some games I taught them. As usual, I go to the pharmacy.
*jingle*
As always, the sound of the bell is soothing. I entered the pharmacy. As always it is in a mess and Stacy is buried underneath a pile of books.
“You didn’t sleep last night again now, did you?” I jeer.

“Shut your stinking mouth kid. This is all your fault. The knowledge that you keep on introducing to me is hard to understand. And that chemistry bull crap. Where did you even get that kind of knowledge?”
“Hehe, it’s a trade secret. Why don’t you get yourself an assistant like I always asked?”
“Like I keep telling you, who can be my assistant? You quit being my assistant a long-time ago. Remember?”
“Like I keep telling you, I was never your assistant to begin with. And for the person suitable for the job, I know just the right person for it.”
She quickly raises her head from underneath the pile of books. Her eyes show total exhaustion, her hair is all ruffled and her complexion is pale.
“Who is it?” she asks with a strong tone of voice.
“Why don’t you take a bath first and then we go meet her?”
“Okay, then I'll be heading to the hot springs.”
“No! I know how much time you spend in there. If you are not careful, you might get wrinkles. How old are you
anyways? Maybe you’re reaching your forties-”
*Bang*
“Hasn’t Barbra ever taught you never to ask a woman’s age? And I'm in my twenties if you have to know.”
“Yeah right. You were also in your twenties ten years ago.”
“How can a fifteen-year-old brat speak like that to a lady? No one will marry you. You know that, right?”
“Well, at least I'm fifteen; I still have plenty of time to find myself a wife. I don’t know about you.”
“Y- you stinking brat. If you were a normal kid, I would whoop your ass to show you who’s boss.”
She says that while heading to the back room to take a bath. One of the things I was involved in making here in the village was a hot spring. I never got the chance to enjoy it in my previous life but I always saw it on the internet.
After her bath we head to granny Alma’s inn to see Amy. I’ve been teaching Amy magic and how to fight. Not only her but Light, Luke and Kelvin. I managed to find out that out of all the hundred and fifty people living in this village, only three people are able to use magic or have the aptitude for it. Amy is one of them; she has the aptitude of water. Luke is the second one with the aptitude to use wind magic and the last one is a village guard who has the aptitude to use earth magic.
Stacy told me that it was rare for commoners to possess a magic aptitude. It seems that nobles are the ones who have an advantage when it comes to magic.
Light and Kelvin don’t have the aptitude for magic but Light is a bonafide genius when it comes to mana control and mana manipulation. Couple that with his swordsmanship, given just a few years under my teachings, and he will be able to fight toe to toe with even that bandit boss guy. Kelvin on the other hand isn’t smart like the two but he is also blessed with something the other two don’t have - strength. This kid has the strength that can even rival the adults and couple that with my training, he has become even stronger.
Now back to the subject. Amy has always liked things that involved medicine. From herbs to potions to healing magic, she loves them all. Too bad that she has the aptitude for water as she really wants to be a healer. I managed to create a few magic spells of water that can help with healing but they are inferior when it comes to healing magic.
So, I decided to show her a way to use water magic for crafting potions. By freely controlling the water and adding herbs in it, you can extract all the herbs medicinal efficiencies, diluting that water with them. By doing this, the potency of the potion increases at least by 5%. I remember how shocked Stacy was when I used that technique for the first time. Because of this technique, I would finish my potions before her. She spent the whole week hating me and another wishing she had the aptitude of water (she had the aptitude of fire by the way). So, I’ve been teaching her these techniques especially for this day.
We then enter the inn and have a meal. Granny Alma’s food tastes blissful as always. I then tell Amy about Stacy needing an assistant and she wholeheartedly agrees… and then she hugs me. I don’t know why but she has been way too attached to me ever since the day I rescued her from bandits.
After that I leave the village. I still have a lot of work after all. On top of the list is investigating that weird golden energy deep inside my subconscious. The other thing is my newly formed core.
I then arrive at home but before I could start with my work, I am suddenly surprised to see a bunch of green men outside my house.
