I wonder whose life signature is this? It seems that there is a king tiger next to it too. I guess I should help them and send them on their way.
I teleport to the location of the life signature. The King tiger is shocked by my appearance. A king tiger is a monster that is twice the size of a flame tiger.
“Scram!” I say as I glare at it.
The king tiger is startled as it turns and runs away.
It seems monsters that live in this forest fear me now. I guess that happens when they see you as the apex predator. Now, let’s take a look who-
“Sara?!”
Those words come out of my mouth unintentionally as my eyes open wide.
No, that’s not her. She just resembles her. Hmm, a human that has fox-like ears and a fluffy tail.
She’s a beastman, kid. She’s probably from the silver fox clan.
“A beastman, huh? Come to think of it, I haven’t met a beastman yet.”
To think she could resemble Sara so much. I can’t believe I almost lost my cool.
Who’s Sara?
She is… she was my sister from Earth. I blocked that part of my memories from you so I guess it makes sense that you don’t know her.
To think a child this small would be out in this cold. She looks like she’s at least ten years old. What happened to this child?
“There are a lot of questions I want to ask you, but I guess they can wait. What I will ask you however is do you want to live?”
If she doesn’t want to live, I can at least grant her a painless death. I don’t know what happened to her. She might be traumatised and just wants the eternal slumber. I can grant her that wish if she wants.
“Y-yes. I-I want to l-live!”
Huh?! To think she still wants to live. Is it revenge that’s driving her? Well, it doesn’t matter. Since she wants to live then I’ll grant her that wish.
“Then from now on, you can call me big brother Allen or Brother Al for short.”
“B-brother Al?”
“Starting from now. You’ll be my sister. I can promise you that as long as I live, nothing will harm you ever again.”
She looks at me with eyes filled with a slight of happiness before passing out. I pick her up and cover her with my mana. It should keep her warm until I get back to the castle.
This world is rotten. To think a kid would suffer like this. Just like my old world. A world filled with greedy people. I can tell already without knowing that she probably fell victim to some people’s greed. That’s why this world needs to be purged and be reborn anew. So that kids like her don’t have to cry or suffer.
I return back to the castle.

I think most of the urgent work has been done. I guess I can make some golems that will protect certain parts of the forest then.
I then give away the fox girl to the maids and told them to treat her well.
My lord. I have completed the task you’ve given me. The other Pillars have also given their report to me. Do you have time to discuss it with me in the Throne room?
Ok. I’ll be right there.
The story has been illicitly taken; should you find it on Amazon, report the infringement.
I’m able to communicate with all the Pillars via telepathy. Damn, I gave Abaddon the task to survey the forest yesterday. To think he’s already finished the job.
I teleport to the throne room. The throne room was Abaddon’s idea. He said something about how this “great me” deserves a throne to sit on. I know I made them loyal but isn’t this just a bit…
The throne room is spacious to fit at least five hundred people to a thousand in it. The pillars are made of gold and other valuable minerals. There are chandeliers across the celling with luminous stones on them. A red carpet embroidered with a golden material stretched out all the way to the throne.
The throne itself is made up of a combination of various materials.
“So, Abaddon. What do you have for me?”
Abaddon then hands me some documents.
I guess Isaac managed to create paper, huh? I gave him a lot of tasks but I guess he’s also a workaholic. Damn brats. I wonder where do they get that from?
“I’ve managed to survey the entire forest, my lord. I’ve also managed to divide each region to my lord’s plans and goals.”
Hmm, this is a very detailed document. Basically, I plan to separate this forest into five sectors. There is the residential sector, commercial sector, factory sector, harbour sector and the agricultural sector. Of course, there will also be other sub-sectors but they’ll be under these major sectors.
“Adam also gave his report. It seems that he managed to find a total of three dungeons in the forest and two mines. These mines are of magic crystal minerals and one of them is an eternal load.”
An eternal load, huh? I’ve heard that eternal loads are mines that have an infinite supply of minerals. But they are so rare that there are only three known eternal mines in the continent. Two are found in the human kingdoms while one is found in the dwarven territory. And now, we also have our own.
I wish we had also discovered a mine of iron ore or some other metals. I guess I’ll have to find people to trade with.
Mines and dungeons. The difference between a mine and a dungeon is that a dungeon has what is known as a dungeon core. A dungeon core is basically what sustains the dungeon and creates monsters. A dungeon core is usually guarded by a boss monster in the boss room.
Otherwise, that is the only difference between the two. Dungeons also have minerals and other treasures and mines also have monsters in them. I’ll have to go assess the strength of the dungeons myself and see if they will be trouble for the village guards to train in them.
“He also investigated the dungeons and concluded only two of the three dungeons can be of use for the village guards’ training.”
Huh?! They already investigated it!
Wow, they literally read your mind, kid, didn’t they?
Shut up, Ray. I guess I’ll investigate the last one then. There are still a lot I don’t know about dungeons. I’ve also heard about Gates but I’ve never seen one. Sigh, there is just a lot I don’t know about this world.
Abaddon also gave me the report about the other Pillars’ tasks. It seems everything is moving along well.
“We’ve also discovered a large number of spies trying to infiltrate the village with the refugees. We believe that the other kingdoms are making their move due to the incident that happened a few months ago.”
The fight with the Demon Lord. I bet they are trying to figure out who killed him, huh? They probably don’t know about the Demon Lord since everyone thought he was dead so they probably have the Silent Demon in mind.
The spies who have been trying to infiltrate the village have been spies sent by various merchant groups, the Bandit society or whatever, and now the kingdoms. I’m starting to think that I shouldn’t go on my trip. Nah, I’ll go. With the Pillars here, I doubt there’ll be any problems. And even if a problem does arise, I can just teleport back here so it’s no biggie.
I also want to see how the Pillars handle themselves without me in the picture.
“Some of the spies seemed to have been under the influence of a charm magic spell of sort. We were able to dispel it and get some information from them.”
Charm magic? A type of magic that controls one’s actions. I’ve read about it from a book and it’s one of the magics I hate alongside necromancy. Having control over people’s actions like that is disgusting.
“From the information we got, it seems that the last thing they remember is meeting a woman.”
“Well, charm magic is commonly used by women. Ok, I understand the situation. I’ll be going to check on the training of the village guards. Find people who’ll start working in the mines from the village and the refugees in the meantime.”
“I understand, my lord.”
I then teleport to the training grounds.
“Oh, it’s the leader.”
Everyone assembles when I appear and greets me.
It seems like they’ve become strong. Of course, there are those who are not blessed when it comes to combat but anyone can be able to fight if you beat it into them.
The number of people who are in the village guards is four hundred at most. I haven’t given them any official titles yet and that’s because they haven’t been through any actual battles.
“Dungeons were discovered in the forest. I’ll be splitting you guys into two groups. You have this month to conquer that dungeon. The group that conquers the dungeon first will receive a reward that I’m sure you’ll love.”
“YES, SIR!”
No one complained. That’s good.
Well, it’s not like they could even if they wanted to. After being trained by you, anyone would fear you.
Come to think of it, I did train them quite harshly. And that was even before I created these pocket dimensional rooms. Well, I don’t want to worry about people not having the ability to protect themselves. At least this way, they can be of use to me.
Sigh, I should get going to that dungeon.
