It’s morning now. I spent the entire night polishing up on my comprehension of the laws of nature. It’s now time to check on the garden.
I open my eyes only to find Lime sleeping on my head.
I guess he ate his fill.
He wakes up in response to me and starts jumping around.
“Need more food?”
“Kyu.”
I guess that means yes. Is this guy a glutton or something?
I take out more magic cores out of my storage for him to feast.
He hasn’t multiplied. I guess that’s good for me.
I then walk towards the garden. At first, I wouldn’t have been able to know about sixty percent of these herbs but now, I know them all. There are some Lily whites, Dragon drop, some Denisa roots too and more.
I guess I should do some alchemy. Let’s start with the familiar craft first, potion alchemy.
I open my storage space and take out my potion crafting equipment. There isn’t much since I use magic a lot when I craft. Mainly, it’s a couple of beakers and potion containers.
I saw a lot of potion recipes in the books. Many were about the potions I already know but crafted in different ways, but some were about potions I have never seen before.
Namely, the all-curing potion and the all-healing potion. These two stood out the most for me. As the names suggests, the all-curing potion is described to cure any illness and poisons and the all-healing potion is described to heal even a dismembered person with all their limbs cut off.
The high-grade level 3 healing potions that me and Stacy craft can bring back a lost limb but only just one. If a person has multiple lost limbs, then only one would come back. You are probably wondering if it isn’t possible for the person to drink another high-grade level 3 healing potion to heal the other lost limb?
The answer is it’s impossible since the area where the limb would have been cut off would’ve healed because of the first potion. The moment it heals, even if the person drinks another high-grade level 3 healing potion, the potion will see the area as already healed and thus nothing will happen.
I’ve done a lot of experiments like what if you cut the healed part again and have the person drink the potion? The potion would just heal it back to its healed state, not bring back the lost limb. (This only implies when the wound is healed by a high-grade level 3 potion and not when the wound heals on its own or by lower ranked potions.)
Of course, that doesn’t worry me since I can heal back a person’s limbs with my magic but having this all-healing potion should put my mind at ease just in case I’m not around when someone’s limbs are dismembered.
This all-healing potion is said to heal back even long healed and scarred wounds back to their origin. Meaning it can regrow people’s limbs even if they lost them years ago.
I then begin on my crafting. It took me two hours overall and I was finished crafting the potions. I have managed to craft twenty potions. Five all curing potions and five all-healing potions. The other ten are potions I already know just in different processes.
“All these potions have transcended high-grade level 3 potions.”
Well, the level 3 potions that me and Stacy have been crafting have also transcended that level, but they are still high grade level potions.
These, however, transcend that level by a long shot. Now, what should I call them?
“Superior potions?”
Nah, that doesn’t sound right.
How about Transcendent potions, kid?
“Transcendent potions? That doesn’t sound half bad. Very well then. Starting from today, these shall be known as Transcendent potions.”

Now, it’s time for pill alchemy. What I know about pill alchemy is that it isn’t well known. It’s better to say, people don’t practise it. The reason for that is because of potions.
Potions work almost instantaneously. As for pills, they take a long time to take effect and that is because they work for the long haul instead of the moment.
As we already know, potions such as stamina potions increases your stamina for a short period of time but after their effect wears off, you revert back to your original stamina. That goes for strengthening potions too. When someone drinks a strengthening potion, their strength is temporarily boosted, and they are able to surpass their limits.
In a way, you can say that potions are instantaneous and temporarily. Of course, this temporarily effect doesn’t apply on potions such as healing and mana since they are restorative type potions.
Pills on the other hand are not instantaneous nor temporarily. After finishing digesting a pill, let’s say a strengthening pill, that person’s strength increases indefinitely. The effects are like that of doing weight training. That goes for other types of pills too.
Of course, with those kinds of effects, a lot of people should be rushing to buy them, but they aren’t. There are four reasons for that.
1. They take more time to craft.
2. They aren’t instantaneous when consumed (a person needs at least five hours of meditation to fully digest them).
3. The chances of failing to craft a pill is high.
4. Only low-grade recipes are known
And because of those reasons, the advancement of the field is slow and is being forgotten.
But the recipes and formulas found in all of these books are outstanding. They have ways to shorten the time to craft them. There are also recipes of intermediate-grade and high-grade pills.
Crafting these pills will benefit the village by a lot especially the training of the guards. Of course, these pills won’t work on me because my body has long surpassed the human limit. Even potions don’t work on me anymore. After unlocking my golden energy, my body underwent a form of metamorphosis. Not only my body but my powers also evolved which is why my growth speed is so terrifying.
Luckily, there is a pill furnace in here so I should be able to craft pills. Let’s start with low-grade pills.
I take out some herbs out of my storage space.
I don’t want to use these herbs I’ve just found on my experimentations. I’ll use these instead.
I then start on my pill crafting.
***
After a few hours, I finally finish my experiments.
I’ve managed to create quite a lot of pills. Of course, I failed a lot too but luckily for me, I have a glutton with me who will eat anything.
I managed to create six different types of pills.
* Blood pills are responsible for cleansing the blood to prevent blood clotting.
* Mana pills are responsible for cleansing the mana and preventing clotting in the mana veins due to the intake of potions. Potions have impurities which causes the mana to be impure.
* Vitality pills increase the vitality of a person. These will go nicely with the rejuvenating potions.
* Strengthening pills
* Stamina pills
* Detoxification pills increases the immune system’s natural defence against poisons.
All these pills are of the high-grade, so their efficiency is high. I guess I’m done with the important stuff. Let’s start with the garden. I can’t store the entire garden in my storage space. Because time in there is non-existent and there are no laws of nature, the herb garden wouldn’t survive.
This narrative has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. If you see it on Amazon, please report it.
I could just pick out the herbs and store them like that but… I want the whole garden.
My only option is to imbue the laws of nature to my rest space and store it there. Now why am I not opening a warp gate that connects to my other storage spaces and store it there?
The thing is there are two kinds of pocket dimensions that can be created. Fixed pocket dimensions and bound pocket dimensions.
Fixed pocket dimensions are as the name suggests, fixed. They cannot be moved and stay in one place. Pocket dimensions also can only have a single-entry point because if there are multiple, the space would be unstable and risk collapse.
Bound pocket dimensions are the ones bound to something. Be it a ring to make a storage ring or a bag to make a storage bag. To me, my storage space and my rest space are bound to me physically. So that means they go where I go.
I spent ten minutes imbuing my rest space with the laws of nature and placed the herb garden inside it.
Done with that, I look around the room. There are glass beakers on shelves against the wall containing a variety of materials, mostly monster body parts.
They seem to have expired due to the years. Well, that makes sense since preservation magic only works on inorganic things. It also doesn’t work on food or monster materials.
There doesn’t seem to be anything in here though. Should I move on to check the table. No, what I’ve learned about secret hideouts is that the important things are well-hidden.
I activate my magic sense and investigate the room. There is nothing. I do not give up though as I strengthen it. I catch a hint of an area where my magic sense can’t perceive through. In fact, it feels more like my magic sense is being cancelled the moment it reaches that point.
I walk up to the wall and place my hand where I have noticed the anomaly.
“A form of safe?” I ask myself.
But why can’t my magic sense perceive through it? The only other type of material that had the same effects was the wooden box Ray was imprisoned in. My magic sense bounced off the box. Could this safe be made of the same wood?
I can feel that there is a thin layer of stone between the “safe” and my hand. I punch the stone and it crumbles easily. What meets my eyes is a shiny black stone.
This is probably the “safe”.
I throw another punch at it, of course, imbued with mana but the stone did not break. In fact, a cut appeared on my fist.
“I got injured?”
The last time I got injured was when I fought the Demon Lord. To think that this rock would make me bleed, weird.
I felt something at the point of contact. Somehow my mana that was encircling my hand disappeared exactly when I made contact with it. If it wasn’t for my technique to strengthen my cells, muscles and bones, then there’s no doubt that my hand would have been broken.
The small cut on my hand instantly heals. I place my hand on the stone.
“Quake.”
Instead of the stone crumbling from a massive vibration, it stands firm nothing happening. The magic didn’t activate.
I see now. A dispelling spell perhaps. No, whatever this is, it’s working kinda like my break spell. Let’s try something else.
I distance myself from the wall. I raise my hand slightly as a fireball appears on my hand. It hurtles towards the stone and makes contact. The moment it makes contact, the fireball disappears.
“Anti-magic? Something similar?”
Anti-magic doesn’t exist in this world. There are, of course, dispelling magic spells which are spells that are good at cancelling people’s magic. This is definitely not it. I’ve tried proving whether anti-magic existed in the past but to no avail. It was just simply impossible for it to exist since no law would actually support it.
So, if it’s not them, then what is it? Perhaps, a material that can dispel magic? It could be but where could it be found? I’ve read hundreds of books of this world and I have never heard of a material like this.
“What a persistent bastard. I guess whatever this thing is housing must be important. To think the owner of this place would hide it so well. I guess I’ll have to be a little rough, huh.”
I bet if I use force then it’ll break for sure. Using Ashes or Saber would do the trick but if I do then I might destroy whatever is inside as well. I guess I’ll use another form of magic then.
“It would be bad if I blew this entire place so… Domain.”
The domain erects from where I’m standing covering a small area. The area it covers is from where I am standing to the wall.
“This should be good enough.”
Now that I have used domain, I can sense the object a lot better. It’s square in shape and it is the size of a microwave at most. Now, let’s get started.
I stretch my arm forward. A black sphere appears from my hand.
“Black hole.”
Isn’t black hole a little too much kid?
I don’t have the time to spend cracking whatever this is. We are on the clock remember.
A powerful suction force ensues as the wall cracks alongside the black stone. The safe appears fully but it also doesn’t last long as it is shredded open by the suction force of the void. I close my hand covering the small black sphere as the suction force dissipates.
I wanted to investigate the stone. Sigh, I guess it’s my bad since there is nothing left. After all, the void eats anything.
A red glow emanates from inside the empty slot on the wall. I reach out my hand and pull out what is inside.
“A potion?”
Were you expecting something else?
“Well, I was expecting maybe some relic of the past or some shit. I didn’t expect to find a potion.”
The potion is encased in a beautifully crafted container. The container is made of glass, well-tempered glass.
I guess they knew how to make glass. Ariel, do a full analysis on the potion.
Command received. Beginning full analysis. A sample of the potion will be needed.
I open the potion that resembles blood, and a foul stench clouds the air. I pour out a tiny drop on the palm of my hand as it gets absorbed.
Sample detected. Initiating command.
It’ll probably take a few minutes.
I look at the potion more closely.
Why would Casandra hide a potion? Is there something special about it? Hmm, somehow, I want to drink it.
Analysis complete. The ingredients found in the potion are Queen’s mint, Storm rosemary, Monk’s tyme, Blue creeper and more.
All those herbs were mentioned in the books I’ve read. What potion do these herbs make?
The combination of these herbs creates a kind of strengthening potion.
Strengthening potion? That’s probably one of the new recipes I’ve learned since those are not the ingredients to make the strengthening potion I know.
What is this potion’s magical potency?
The potion’s magical potency is 90%.
What?! Aren’t you mistaken Ariel?
No, master. I ran the analysis ten more times just to make sure the results were accurate.
90%? That’s impossible. The magical potency a potion can have is around 20%. Thanks to the new recipes found in the Draconic book and also my own methods, we were able to raise the magical energy of a potion to 40%, the highest being 65%.
A potion that has 90% magical potency is impossible. Wait a minute. Since this potion has such a strong magical reading and is also a strength potion, maybe it will have an effect on me.
I’ve been having a problem that will affect me in the future. My powers are growing faster than I can control them. Eventually, my powers will grow too much for my body to handle, and I’ll die under my own power.
Of course, my body isn’t normal. I already have a strong, steady body but it’s not enough to house my constantly growing powers. I’ve been thinking of eventually using my golden energy when that time comes but since there is no definite way to help restore it, I can’t use it without a second thought.
Master, I would advise not to ingest this potion. I detected an unknown constituent inside the potion that seems to be the binding agent of the entire solution.
It’s probably something that isn’t that important.
I take a giant gulp of the potion, swallowing it whole. It isn’t that bad considering the smell. I finish it and wait for the potion to take effect.
“Huh, nothing is happening. It seems even this one isn’t working.”
Oh, how wrong I am.
My heartbeat jolts followed by a sharp pain in my chest.
Kid, are you alright?
“Yeah, I think so.”
My hands start to cramp up and my breaths become heavy as my vision blurs. Sharp pain starts coursing through my entire body.
“Aaaargh.”
I fall on my knees as my head pounds in agony. I cry out in pain as my bones grind together. Blood starts spewing out of my eyes, nose, mouth and pores.
Damn it. Kid, are you alright?
“D-do I look like I’m jolly to you?”
I groan again in pain.
“R-ray. W-what’s going on in my body?”
It’s bad kid. Your cells are being grinded into nothing and reconstructed again. That also applies to your bones, muscles and skin.
“S-skin? What do you mean ski-“
It is then that my skin starts to feel like it’s burning. Like I’m being left in an oven at the surface of the sun. I look at my hands as I see my skin disintegrate before my very eyes.
“Ariel. A-activate all emergency protocols. Forcefully eject the potion out of my body now.”
Sorry kid but you can’t do that. If you do, then you’ll risk damaging your body to the point even your regeneration won’t heal it. You need to endure the whole process.
“Are you fucking kidding me.” I say with gritted teeth. “Isn’t there anyway to reduce the pain at least?”
Nope. Disconnecting your entire nervous system has its own risks, you know that too. And we can’t have you passing out, so Ariel, increase adrenaline levels.
Order received. Increasing adrenaline levels.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Ariel, cancel command.”
Sorry master but I cannot accept that command. I’m created to protect the master. If an order is given that would be detrimental to my master’s health, then I’m to do whatever it takes to protect the master even if that means not following the masters orders. That’s what is stated on Protocol 3-2-D-12.
“B-but that protocol only applies if I’m in a state where I can’t make any sound decisions.”
Yes, which is why I’m making this decision as per master Ray’s command since I’m to follow his orders when that happens. Master is making a command due to pain and not logic, which makes your mental state unstable to make sound decisions.
Damn it. Why did I even create such a protocol in the first place?
This process continued for 3 hours.
As I kneel there on top of my gooey black blood, the process was finally complete.
You did good enduring that kid.
“Fuck you.” I say as I fall unconscious on the pool of my own blood.
