MADAM WINTERS’S FIGHT FOR HER CHILDREN CHAPTER 1299
Clearly, Everett did not understand the strange thoughts
in Ninian’s mind.
When he saw Ninian’s strange expression, he frowned slightly in confusion.
She noticed that this handsome man still had a little
conscience.
“You just underwent surgery. I’ll disturb you. Besides…” Ninian blushed as she looked away and said, “Besides, how can I take advantage of you when you’re sick?”
Everett was speechless.
“The bed is big enough. Come here,” Everett said helplessly.
It was a VVIP ward. The bed was big and comfortable, so it was sufficient for two people to sleep.
Besides, what kind of advantage was this? They were
officially a couple.
Even if Ninian wanted to “sleep” with him, he did not
have anything to say about it.
He just felt sorry since she was so innocent.
When Ninian saw Everett’s insistence, she did not say anything else. She just lay down on the bed.
The smell of disinfectant and Everett’s cold scent gave Ninian a sense of familiarity even though she was
nervous.
While her heart pounded fast, she heard Everett’s deep and thick voice. “Good girl. Just sleep.”
He patted her back gently and coaxed her softly.
Ninian just felt tired, and a while later, she fell asleep.
Under the light, Everett looked at her coquettish and delicate sleeping face. He smiled faintly, and his eyes were also full of contentment.
The next day, Duncan rushed over in the early morning to replace Ninian.
Before Ninian realized the reason for his actions, the members of the Winters arrived.
George and Alden had come together to bring Ninian back.
When they saw that Duncan was the one accompanying Everett, they secretly sighed in relief.
However, Mr. Craig winked at her when her brothers were not looking, and the implication was clear.
Ninian was speechless.
She finally understood what kind of invisible battle the brothers in their families fought.
Ninian just felt numb. When she glanced at Everett who was across from her, she noticed that he was speechless and helpless too.
With that, Ninian instantly felt that things were balanced.Content © 2024.
After she went downstairs with George and Alden, Ninian got into the car’s back passenger seat.
Alden got into the driver’s seat, but unexpectedly, George did not enter the car.
“George, aren’t you going back with us?” Ninian asked.
“No, I have to go to work. My secretary will drive over. Don’t worry,” George said gently.
“Oh.” Ninian was reassured, so after they bade goodbye,
Alden started the car.
“Alden, are we going home now? Are Daddy and Mommy still at home? How long are they planning to stay? How
long will you stay before you leave?”
Ninian was so chatty. She kept talking and asking
questions.
Alden glanced at her from the rear–view mirror before he pretended to sarcastically say, “Do you still remember us? I thought you were planning to stay in the hospital with Everett.”
When he mentioned the word “stay,” Ninian instantly
blushed.
“Hey,” she answered before she moved forward and
pulled Alden’s suit. She acted cute and said, “Everett is important, but Daddy, Mommy, and Al are also
important! I like Al the most! How long will you stay at home? Can you spend more time with me? I miss you!”
The girl flashed him a sweet smile, and her voice was soft and coquettish, easily getting others to favor her.
