MADAM WINTERS’S FIGHT FOR HER CHILDREN CHAPTER 1129
“Or else, why would you two react this way?”
Harold and Ninian instantly hid their curious look when they heard Alden’s question. They straightened up and said, “No, we know nothing!”
“Oh, really?” Alden said sullenly as he looked at the two of them sternly with his cold gaze. “I heard that George went to Raina’s hotel last night. Before he went there, two people dropped by at that hotel earlier. Harold, Ninian, why don’t we take a guess who they are?”
Harold and Ninian kept quiet.
“You two…” Melody was shocked. When she noticed how guilty the two of them looked, her gaze turned cold. “I see. So, the two of you went behind our backs and looked for Raina. How dare you!”
Melody was usually indifferent. It was rare to see her getting so worked up like this.
This time, Harold and Ninian’s expressions darkened,
and they looked miserable. They did not dare to look into her eyes.
“Mel...” Ninian pursed her lips and acted pitifully. “I‘m sorry, I won‘t do it again next time...”
Harold put his hands over his head. “It‘s not Grapie‘s fault, it‘s mine. If you want to hit me, go ahead, as long as you don‘t hit my head or my face.”
Right after he said it, he felt a couple of thumps on his head. He moaned in pain.
Ninian looked at him with sympathy, feeling sad for her brother.
“Come on, tell us everything.” Melody pulled back her hand and crossed her arms. She had an indifferent and imposing gaze.
Alden picked up the tablet next to him, tapped swiftly on the screen, and started taking notes. “If you say one wrong thing or miss one detail, get ready to be hit.”
Harold was speechless. ‘What in sovereignty is this?!‘
He told them everything and did not miss out on any
details.
Ninian took the initiative and told what happened three years ago. Melody and Alden‘s hearts ached more and more as they listened to her.
Melody grabbed Harold‘s waist so hard that he grimaced in pain. Alden glanced at him coldly, forcing him to suppress his pain and scream.
Fortunately, Harold quickly explained everything that happened that night of the incident and the real reason why Raina broke up with George. Alden and Melody became interested and frowned when he mentioned George‘s subsequent appearance, diverting their attention from him.
“So, George finally knew what was bothering Raina and went to chase her back of his own will? And that‘s why he hasn‘t been back all night?” Alden concluded.
Harold and Ninian nodded at the same time. The two of them looked excited and curious once again.
“Al, do you think George and Raina will get back together?” Ninian said in a soft, coquettish tone.
Alden looked at her and his expression softened subconsciously. “There’s no guarantee. I don’t think
they’ll reconcile so soon.”
“Nevertheless, that’s good news.” Melody’s expression
also softened as she smiled. “They initially broke up
because of a misunderstanding. They’re still in love with
each other. There’s a huge possibility of them getting
back together. It’s just a matter of time.”
“Honestly, I feel that George hasn’t been a good
boyfriend back then. That must be why Raina felt so
insecure about his love,” Ninian said softly.
“Well, well. Our little Grapie knows quite a lot about love, huh?” Harold smiled and said, “Whatever it is, don’t
worry. I’m sure George has things under control. Let’s believe in him, alright?”
He then pointed at the French window in the dining hall.
The rest of them looked at where he pointed. Their faces gawked in shock.
Downstairs, George, who had always looked resolute and
stern, stood in front of a florist. His head was bowed as he discussed something with the owner.
His figure was tall and straight as he stood under the sun. He looked noble and indifferent, but he was holding a bunch of red roses in his arms. The scene did not match his appearance at all.Material © of .
