MADAM WINTERS’S FIGHT FOR HER CHILDREN CHAPTER 1281
Everett was laying on the bed.
He was fast asleep with his eyes closed, his face pale. He looked aloof and noble. He looked peaceful and harmless.
His limbs were tied up with satin at the four corners of
the bed.
When Ninian saw this, her heart ached, and she had the
urge to cry.
She knew that Everett had requested to be tied up like
this. He feared that he would lose control and hurt
someone.
‘He has always looked aloof. But now, he’s trapped here like a prisoner, with his hands and feet tied up, robbed of
all his freedom.
‘God knows how long this will continue.‘
The more she thought of it, the more her heart ached for Everett, and the more she hated Rowan.
‘His obsession caused so much harm to people.
‘As a result of his obsession, Everett’s parents died
tragically, Everett lost his childhood, and forced Duncan
to be independent and support the family…
‘He deserves only the cruelest form of punishment!‘
She sat by the window and used a wet towel to wipe his
face.
‘He has always been a very hygienic person. He’s very
particular with cleanliness. Even though the room has been remodeled, how can he endure living like a prisoner?
She could no longer hold back her tears. As she was wiping his wrist, Everett held her hand.
“Everett?” She was stunned when she noticed that
Everett had woken up. Her eyes teared up even more.
“You’re awake? Are you feeling pain somewhere?”
Everett looked at her longingly. He shook his head. “I’m
okay. Don’t cry.”
His voice was hoarse and dry.
She hurriedly poured a cup of warm water from the thermos next to her and fed him little by little.
She had so much to say as she looked at Everett’s gaunt
face, but she did not know how to say it.
Everett looked at her and chuckled.
“Why are you laughing?” Ninian was perplexed.
“Because I have a cat in my room.”
Ninian glared at him angrily. “You made me cry, and now you’re laughing at me. Do you know how worried we are about you?”
“It’s okay, you don’t have to.” Everett’s hands were tied, so he could only comfort her with his gentle gaze. “I already learned about Blanco planting a biochip in my body, and I’ve been investigating the power behind it all these years. This time, I did this on purpose. I just wanted to take the risk and fish out the traces of the person behind the biochip.
She was shocked. “So you deliberately allowed yourself to be manipulated. Would you be in danger? I don’t think he will confront you without any preparation.”
“Silly girl.” Everett chuckled. His deep gaze looked amused. “Do you really think your boyfriend would fight a battle without preparations?”
The way he said “boyfriend” was intimate and
ambiguous. Ninian blushed a little when she heard this.
But after all, she also had experienced going through trials and hardships which thickened her skin. She
changed the topic casually and said, “Your thoughts are somewhat similar to my brothers‘. They want to lure out the people and catch them all at once.”
She then proceeded to tell him Duncan and her brothers‘ plan.
He pondered for a moment before nodding. “Let Alden in. I want to share some of what I have learned with him.” Material © of .
Without hesitation, she walked out and called Alden.
At that moment, Alden was still confronting Duncan at the door. He was keeping track of the time as he stared at him vigilantly.
‘I will not let these bastards humiliate my sister.‘
Five minutes had passed, and Alden became increasingly impatient and was about to open the door. However, Duncan blocked his way.
“Why are you in such a hurry? Everett is unconscious. He won’t do anything to Ms. Winters. We’re both the older brothers here, you know. I’m not worried about my brother, so you should remain calm, too.”
Alden was furious when he heard Duncan’s shameless
words.
