CHAPTER 362
"That's enough, Justin." Bryson deadpanned, his face grim. "I agree with Dr. Shefford's request. I am willing to cut ties with your uncle's family."
What he owed his daughter would never be fully compensated in this life.
He could only do his best to satisfy his daughter's request so that his daughter would feel better, and he would be consumed with less guilt.
"So what if you agree?" Eddie shouted angrily, "I don't agree!"
"Father, what should Luna do if you don't agree? Are you going to watch her die?" Bryson's eyes were red. "I have to admit that it was my fault. I know the main reason you don't want me to cut ties with Brandon's family is for my sake. I am mediocre and incompetent; you are afraid that I cannot support the company, and my family will wither without the protection of Brandon's family… If such a day really does arrive, I am willing to accept the consequences of my own actions."
"I'm itching to kill you, you fool! You deserve it even if you die from stupidity. Do you think I care if you live or die? I am worried about Austin and Justin." Eddie roared, "They are both good children. How are they supposed to make a living if you destroy the company?"
Hearing that, Bryson clenched his jaw. "I will also divide the shares between Austin and Justin! I will divide the company into two, and I will give 60 percent to Austin and 40 percent to Justin. What kind of future the brothers will have will all depend on their abilities."
"What about me?" Penny rushed over and asked in a panic. "Bryson, I have a part of the company. What about my share?"
Bryson was still working within a system when Penny got married to him. Due to a major mistake he later made that caused a stain on his resume, he could not be promoted even if he continued to stay in the system. That was when he resigned and established Penham Limited.
Penham Limited was her marital property with Bryson. She should have half of it under her name!
"You still want a part of my property after lying to me for so many years? Do you think I am a dead person you can trample at will?" Bryson pushed her away, his blood-shot eyes staring at her as he strictly declared, "Don't even think about taking a penny of the Penhams' money! I will let you know what it means to have nothing for the rest of my life. I will make you wish you were dead instead!"
"No, you can't do this!" Penny shook her desperately. "I am Justin and Austin's mother. I gave birth to 2 sons for you. I have the right to obtain a share of the family's property!"
"Just give up on that thought," he hissed while coldly looking at her. "I'd rather donate all of the Penham Family's money instead of giving you a single penny!"
It was true that Penny owned half the property after her marriage to Bryson, but there were too many ways one could transfer the property, especially since he had 2 sons whom he had a hundred legal ways to transfer the property under his name to.
Penny couldn't even dream of getting a penny of his money—not unless he was dead!
"No! No!" Penny desperately shook her head from left to right in denial. "You can't do this! You can't do this to me!"
Her own brother hated her to the bone, which meant she couldn't go back to her mother's house. Now that Bryson was determined to divorce her and even her own sons were disowning her, how was she supposed to live the remainder of her life if she didn't have any money?
"You are still in the mood to fight over property?" Leigh was the one who sneered this time. "You are about to go to jail. What is the use of you asking for money?"
Penny's body immediately froze at that, and she turned her head sharply to look at Leigh. "Bullsh*t! I am fine. I won't go to jail!"
"How can you be fine? You joined hands with someone else to sell your biological daughter. You have committed the crime of abandonment and abduction. Your prison sentence should be at least 3 to 5 years!"
"You are spouting nonsense!" Penny was hysterically shouting at this point. "I was the one who gave birth to you. No one can control me. I can do whatever I want! Besides, aren't you living well now? If I hadn't sent you away, you wouldn't have had the chance to learn such good medical skills and come back to threaten us. If only I had known earlier… I would have strangled you back then!"
Her emotions were on a roller coaster throughout the night. As she was near her breaking point, she said anything that came to mind. She kept going on and on incoherently to vent the fear and fright she had.
The more she spoke, the more disappointed Austin and Justin were in her.
They had been brought up by their grandfather when they were younger. When their grandfather didn't
have the time, the tutor his grandfather had hired for them would teach them instead. They never interacted much with their mother, and the most they did was have meals together on the weekends.
It was only after they grew up and became mature that they weren't as close to their mother as how other children typically were.
It seemed as though Penny only had eyes for Ava as she treated the brothers with indifference.
As they were men, they didn't want to be bothered by something so trivial. Still, it was hard for them to not feel disappointed in some ways.
There was not one child in the world who didn't crave love and care from their own parents.
However, their grandfather's strict upbringing had prompted them to keep their grievances in their hearts. They grew up like how their grandfather and teachers had taught them—they respected their elders and were filial to their parents.
Even if Penny didn't love them like she loved Ava, they still respected her and always kept her in their thoughts.
However, they couldn't help feeling how frighteningly unfamiliar their mother was after they took off the mask she had on.
In the past, they thought that despite Penny being more loving toward Ava, she was at least a good wife, mother, and woman who was gentle and generous, and she had love for them in her heart. It was only because the youngest sibling happened to be a sister that their mother showed Ava more of her love.
However, they finally realized how disappointing their mother was after they heard with their own ears how she was wailing and howling.
She could make something that made no sense sound so plausible, and she so confidently spoke those venomous words.
Not only was she not a good mother, she wasn't even someone with a conscience! Copyright Nôv/el/Dra/ma.Org.
They didn't hold any hopes for their mother anymore.
Leigh sneered, too lazy to pay any attention to the woman's blabber. Then, she looked at Bryson. "The 2 people you want me to take care of are your father and your niece, am I right?"
Seemingly in a daze, he nodded.
"I will also make two conditions, then," she said. "First, I want the Bryson's family and Brandon's family to completely cut ties. From now on, you will have nothing to do with each other. If you agree to this condition, I will help Luna Penham with her condition. Second, call the police, send Penny Walker to prison, and have her put in jail after pronouncing the sentence in accordance with the law. Agree to my second condition, and I will help your father recuperate."
"Why are you making such requests?" Justin asked indignantly. "These two requests are clearly detrimental to both you and others. Are you sure you want to pull something like this?!"
He initially wanted to say something nastier, but at the thought that this was the younger sister his mother abandoned and the Penhams owed, he abruptly softened his tone.
