The first real sunrays after quite some felt refreshing. I looked a bit around checking the surroundings. I noticed something important and I had a really bad feeling about it.

“When will we meet up with the others?”(Me)

Even though, everything looked peaceful and quiet to the normal, a battle was about to start soon. It was important to meet up with the others before that happens.

“The meeting has already begun.”(Lucy)

“Hmm?”(Me)

I was surprised hearing that a meeting has already begun.

“The meeting is in a specially designed room two floors above us.”(Lucy)

We started moving towards stairs.

“We came to get you because everyone decided it was about time that we need your help.”(Sepp)

It was really strange. Asking the one who was treated badly for help.

They could have let me out earlier, but they didn’t. They could have come and meet me during that time, but they didn’t. Actually the more I thought about it, the more I got the feeling that I was completely forgotten.

“And what if I say no?”(Me)

I just said what has been on my mind. Both of them stopped at almost the same time.

“Ah… I mean…” (Sepp)

“Look, I know we all did wrong things, and I won’t tell you to not get your revenge on us. But right now the most important thing is to save the world.”(Lucy)

She sure grew up fast. She almost talked like a real queen.

“Haha. It was only a joke.”(Me)

Everyone present knew it wasn’t, but it was better to leave this issue for later.

It wasn’t that I just ignored everything. It was the opposite, I had a lot of time thinking and I recalled everything that had been done to me. But it was better to leave my revenge for later.

Without waiting for my reply nor without knocking, Lucy just opened the door.

Eleven. I counted exactly eleven people in that room. I already knew about half of them. Takeshi, Hayate and Hiro were there. With Arthur the human king and Sam the beastmen king, I counted five. If I added, Lucy and Sepp that made seven, but the other four were still unknown faces to me.

It was a circle consisting of the most important figures in the entire world. I could see the trust they build up over the past years because no one brought any personal guards or anything alike.

“Ah. Well as some of you already know, that’s my big brother as well as the original nightmare who trained for the past five years in the dungeon.”(Lucy)

One of the new faces stood up. He had a well build human looking figure as well as pitch-black hair. He was the kind of person that looked like he could go to war at any given time and was prepared for anything.

“I know it’s bold of us to ask you for your assistance, but we are at dire times.”(?)

“Don’t worry demon king; I feel the tension in here. If I add that to what I already know then I understand your discomfort.”(Me)

“Ugh…” (Demon king)

They didn’t have to introduce themselves, because I could already think of who was who. I just cut the unnecessary introduction part.

“You don’t have to introduce yourself; it’s enough if I know who you all are.”(Me)

Silence filled the room.

“So, Hikaru, if I’m not wrong. Do you remember what happened at the beastmen-human tournament five or six years ago?”(?)

“If I’m not wrong, Spirit, yes I do.”(Me)

I mocked him a little bit. He didn’t let it get to him though.

“My name is Ryukai, please remember it. I’d really like to hear your thoughts on that matter.”(Ryukai)

He was an interesting guy. He had completely white hair and his personality was neither nice not bad. He didn’t show any ill intentions nor bad behaviour, but he didn’t show respect or fear either.

After only a few words, I already knew that he was competent and extremely sly. Not on par with me, but no more than one-step behind me.

“Shouldn’t you let us hear your thoughts first?”(Me)

The conversation was only between me and Ryukai, everyone else was like decoration.

“Sure. I think it’s something like void magic, but I’m not too sure about it.”(Ryukai)

I had to replay what he just said. Afterwards I looked into the round and saw that no one seemed to know what he was talking about.

“Pfff. Hahaha.”(Me)

I couldn’t hold myself back from laughing.

“I really like you. You are probably the only one who would currently be able keep up with my thoughts.”(Me)

I thought that someone would interrupt me, or ask me to stop laughing during such an important meeting, but no one did, which was a bit boring. In the end, I stopped on my own accord and it ended in an awkward situation.

“Well, I have to admit that you have to be really clever if you came across void magic, but unfortunately you’re wrong.”(Me)

“What do you mean?”(Ryukai)

“If it were normal void magic, there wouldn’t be a need for me to be here and some other people wouldn’t be able to sit here either.”(Me)

I intentionally looked at Takeshi while saying so. Everyone understood that I wanted to tell him that I haven’t forgotten about what he did. He tried to shake his uneasiness of by averting his eyes.

“If it’s not void magic what else could it be?”(Ryukai)

“It’s not magic at all. It’s something completely different. I am prepared to face what’s coming. You should prepare yourselves as well.”(Me)

Everyone had a stupefied expression. The strongest out of all of them said so. It was hard to stay calm.

But I was sure about it. As soon as I left the castle, I could feel a distortion, but I was sure about it in the natural mana flow. It is almost impossible for the natural mana, which holds the world together to show any signs of change.

I knew an enemy was coming, the things that looked like void magic are happening all over the place, as well as signs of our wold showing telling us that it’s weakening. I didn’t really have to think about it too hard to come with the answer.

“The enemy is coming. Not only that, but he’s also bringing a whole world with him.”(Me)

It was a jaw dropping fact, which would soon become truth.
