I thought the real fun, or fight would just start, but he surrendered? My confusion was more than appropriate. I don’t know why, but the crowd didn’t seem that surprised.

“You heard right I give up.”(Hayate)

“I… you… eh?”(Me)

I had no idea what to say in that kind of situation. I just blankly kept starring at my opponent.

“The win goes to the nightmare.”(Referee)

I don’t know if I was saved or just humiliated, but the referee ended the match as he always did; announcing the winner. With my head down a little, I had no other choice than to go back to my seat.

Afterwards, there was another little show, which was similar to the opening ceremony as well as another damn long speech of Arthur. Unfortunately, I was not allowed, nor able to leave. I had to wait until the very end and together with the two kings and our retainers; we were the last group to leave the arena.

“Sandra go back with the others.”(Me)

“Hm?”(Sandra)

“We’re waiting for someone.”(Hiro)

We were at the back of the group and while Arthur chatted with Sam, I told Sandra to go back to the villa. At first, she didn’t understand why we would stay, but Hiro just straight out told the truth of us waiting for someone. It was quite effective and without further questions, she left.

“Telling the truth turns out to be more convenient than telling lies.”(Me)

“Did you say something?”(Hiro)

“Ah. No. Nothing.”(Me)

I said my thoughts aloud, which was a quite embarrassing. When the king’s group was far away, we took our hoods down.

“You can come out.”(Hiro)

“So you knew I was there from the start?”(Hayate)

Hayate stood behind the corner of a nearby house. After answering Hiro’s call, he showed himself to us and we started a rather long talk.

“Couldn’t you have said so sooner? Now it’s only embarrassing that I hid there.”(Hayate)

“At least the others didn’t seem to have noticed you.”(Hiro)

“Guys, let’s focus on the important parts.”(Me)

Hayate looked puzzled, while Hiro face palmed himself.

“I mean, it just started to become fun.”(Me)

“Yeah for you perhaps.”(Hayate)

“What do you mean?”(Me)

“It’s not funny if someone can just leisurely copy your strongest attack.”(Hayate)

“Eh? So that was your strongest attack?”(Me)

There were always some short sighs from Hiro.

“What did you expect?”(Hayate)

“Well I hoped for a special defence and another some more resistance, but I never thought of you surrendering.”(Me)

“Huh?”(Hayate)

“What?”(Me)

“You’re the fucking nightmare, I’d obviously surrender. I just wanted to see you fighting.”(Hayate)

“Hä? You didn’t prepare anything?”(Me)

“No. I knew I’d lose against you.”(Hayate)

“Why did you want to fight against me to begin with?”(Me)

“I already told you. I wanted to see how you fight.”(Hayate)

“But that’s no fun at all.”(Me)

“Fun?”(Hayate)

“Guys!”(Hiro)

Our small talk ended as soon as Hiro shouted.

“What is it?”(Me)

“Yeah. What do you want?”(Hayate)

“Sigh. Both of you are idiots. Can we please talk about important matters?”(Hiro)

“That is important.”(Me)

“Really? For whom?”(Hiro)

“Me obviously.”(Me)

Hiro followed with his second face palm.

“Ok. Hayate.”(Hiro)

“Yes?”(Hayate)

“Hikaru is a fighting maniac and a huge idiot.”(Hiro)

“What?”(Me)

“Ok.”(Hayate)

“You’re fine with that explanation?”(Me)

He only nodded.

“And Hikaru.”(Hiro)

“Ah… Yes?”(Me)

“Don’t push your damn hopes on others.”(Hiro)

“Wait. What the…

“Huh?!”(Hiro)

Fuck, was what I wanted to say, but Hiro was already pissed. There was no need nor gain in going further. For now.

“Finally.”(Hiro)

“So?”(Hayate)

“Don’t know Hiro what is that important?”(Me)

“You…”(Hiro)

I didn’t want to lead the conversation. The day had already been more than exhausting.

“Sigh. Fine. Hayate, you’re a god right?”(Hiro)

“Well yeah. My surname is Beast.”(Hayate)

He leisurely said that. Hiro’s eyes popped out and I… Well I expected it. After listening to him so far, he seemed like the careless type of person, or god.

“Hikaru’s definitely Demon.”(Hayate)

“Is it that obvious?”(Me)

“Yes.”(Hayate)

“Definitely.”(Hiro)

They said it almost in perfect synchronisation.

“Well yeah. Hikaru is Demon and I am Human.”(Hiro)

“Did you already find Dragon?”(Hayate)

“You…”(Hiro)

“Did you already meet her?”(Me)

“Well not meet, but she wrote me lots of letters and yes I already saw her. To be more specific, I saw her with you so…”(Hayate)

“I knew it!”(Me)

Hayate and Hiro both looked at me and I found myself in another embarrassing situation.

“Ah. Nothing.”(Me)

“Did you find him yet?”(Hayate)

“Yes. His name is Takeshi and he goes to the same school as Hikaru.”(Hiro)

“Good. Than all we are missing is Spirit right?”(Hayate)

“Yep. And no we don’t.”(Me)

“What no you don’t?”(Hayate)

“What would have been your next question?”(Me)

“Oh. So you have no idea how to find him?”(Hayte)

“No. We already had this conversation yesterday.”(Hiro)

“Ok… Ahm… What are we going to do now? Wait until our doom, search for Spirit? I honestly don’t know.”(Hayate)

“I’ll do the same as last time.”(Me)

“Which was? We can’t read your mind.”(Hiro)

“Going back to school, taking an easy mission to go to the spirit continent and hope to get lucky.”(Me)

Hiro did a third face palm. His forehead was already red from all of them.

“But your idea is really good. I’ll note it for later.”(Me)

“Huh?”(Hiro)

“Magic to read someone’s mind.”(Me)

I don’t know if it was only imagination, but I heard a low “what have I done” from Hiro.

“Sigh. And what about us?”(Hiro)

“Yeah. What about us?”(Hayate)

“You’re coming with me of course. Now that we are already four, it’d be stupid to split up again.”(Me)

“Ah. Ok. Have you forgotten that you can only enter a human school when you are a student there?”(Hiro)

“Nope.”(Me)

“And you know that both of us are not?”(Hiro)

“Yes.”(Me)

“So? How will you solve it?”(Hiro)

“I’m just gonna ask Arthur.”(Me)

“And how will you explain? We are all gods and we need to stay together to beat the one who wants to destroy this world?”(Hiro)

“I’ll think of something.”(Me)

“Fine. I give up. Getting through to your stubborn brain is impossible. I’ll go with your plan. What about you Hayate?”(Hiro)

“I wanted to go with you anyways.”(Hayate)

“Then it’s decided.”(Me)

The day ended faster than I thought. Arthur and I parted ways with Sam. We had the same way, so our groups travelled together. On the way, I introduced Hayte to him. When I asked for Hiro and Hayate to come to Sonya academy as well, he just said yes. I thought of all kinds of stories, but he just accepted it.

With everything set, we went back to Sonya city, where we parted with Arthur. Finally, everything was over and it looked like I could normally go to school again.
