Ray and Conquest both land a devastatingly hard punch on each other's faces, blood splattering out of their mouths before each one of them is sent skidding backwards. However, Claire leaps over, placing both of her heels on Conquests shoulders and forcing him to the ground with a large THUD, sword positioned ready to stab conquest right through the throat.

However, Conquest grabs the blade with both hands, trying to force it away from his throat, however Claire is persistent, her muscles bulging, the blade getting closer and closer. The blade touches his neck, slowly drawing a droplet of blood. However, Conquest smiles as his muscles tense, and veins begin to bulge all over his neck, arms and face.

A straining sound screech from Claires Excalibur before, SNAP, the blade breaks and vanishes into Mana. Claires eyes widen, as conquest grabs her wrists, holding her still and slams his horn stub into Claires stomach, sending her zooming backwards.

As Claire zooms backwards Ray catches her.

“What happened to your sword?”, Ray asked concerned.

“It’s alright, Excalibur repairs itself using my Mana. However, it takes a while.”, Claire says as she picks herself up.

“Here, I’ll lend you this.”, Ray says as he passes Claire his mana blade.

“Are you sure?”.

“Yeah, I prefer fighting hand to hand anyway.”, Ray says cracking his knuckles.

“That was a close one, the woman almost got me.”, Conquest says.

“Yeah, your days are numbered Conquest!”, Ray says smiling.

Suddenly, a bolt of lightning erupts from behind them, zooming straight towards conquest who dodges it; however, the beam of lightning begins to follow him, causing him to have to run and dodge the lazar like lightning bolt.

Ray and Claire turn around in surprise, at first, they thought it was Lilly, however, no arrow skill could produce a lazar. As they look up, they see a yellow dragon, a stream of lightning coming from its mouth.

Salamander flies over and perches himself on Rays shoulder, who pets him.

“Hey buddy, is that a new ally?”, Ray asks smiling, Salamander replying with a caw.

The Lightning dragon flies over and perches himself on Claires shoulder.

“Is... that the lightning dragon?”, Claire says in amazement, legs shaking out of shock and joy. The lightning dragon caws loudly, letting sparks of lightning off od his scales.

“Have your pets arrived for more support? That's fine by me. I’ll bring them back for famine. I'm sure he would love to snack on something knew.”, Conquest said evilly.

It was only now that Ray made the connection, that Bheldird’s 4 soul generals were named after the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse, Conquest, Famine, War and Death.

“Tell me, have your other alleys, Famine, War and Death been sent to the other Demi-human lands?”, Ray asked seriously.

Conquest was temporarily stunned that Ray knew the names of his alleys but shrugged it off. It didn’t matter, they were all going to die soon.

Conquest didn’t answer Ray, but his smile told him everything he needed to know.

“This is bad, the Demi-humans don’t know about the demons, they will be caught off guard and potentially be wiped out just like the humans.”, Ray thought to himself. But there was nothing he could do, not right now. He had to focus on his own battle and simply hope that the others Demi-humans would persevere somehow.

“Alright, no playing about now. It's time to get serious.”, Ray says.

“I see.”, Claire says smiling.

Claire, then begins to take all of her armour off except for her steel, knee-high boots and elbow length gloves, all the pieces crashing to the ground as she unequipped them, revealing a royale blue blouse and cream shorts. Claire didn’t usually do this, after all, it seriously reduced her defensive power. However, what it did do is allow her to use all of her strength in battle without her body straining from the added weight of her armour, as well as dramatically increasing her speed to the point that enemies struggled to locate and catch her. It was basically a power up with a huge drawback being that if she was caught by the enemy strong enough to drive her to go to this level, she would probably die if caught or hit.

Ray interpreted this as maxing out speed and strength whilst not boosting health and defence. He himself had come across a lot of players who did this in Evo: online and they were one of the most annoying types of players, too fast to catch and really strong at that.

Ray closes his eyes, deactivates his semi-perfect flame aura and activates his partial transformation, his features becoming more animalistic. His red fur and hair then begin to glow amber, and his once hair becomes flames.

“True flame aura.”, Ray says.

Claire takes a couple steps away from Ray.

“You were right when you said it's a lot hotter than when you just have your flame aura activated.”, Claire says fanning herself.

“Yeah, sorry about that, with my flame aura the heat is more compacted and doesn’t spread out, however this for generates strong heat waves that allow me to sense the movements of things in a close vicinity.”, Ray replies, his tone slightly raspier.

“So, like a sixth sense? Man, you really are something.”, Claire says exasperatedly.

“Says you? Even with this new form, which is far faster and stronger than my previous, without building up speed, your top speed is still far superior.”, Rays says smiling.

“What's this? The woman shed her absurdly heavy armour and the animal Boy turned more beastly than set himself alight? Are these your final forms? Are you finally getting serious?”. Conquest says a sort of lust in his eyes.

Ray holds up 3 fingers. Which confuses Conquest.

“3 minutes. Thats how long you have left to live.”, Ray says, his usually red eyes glowing orange, the flames on his body dancing.

“Oh yeah? Bring it on then!”, Conquest says, teeth bared in his wicked and sadistic grin.
