Claire, Tia and their new companions sit on their wolves at a dead stop, looking out onto the absolute horror that was barreling towards them. Fear, anger and horror painted on every single one of their faces. As before them, was a stampeded of demons crashing towards them like a pack of savages. There had to be hundreds of them, no, thousands of those pitch black demons, with razor sharp fangs and claws. Not to mention, what appeared to be a taller, much more muscular and clearly much stronger demon leading the.
“Is, that them. Are they heading this way?”, Tia asks, her face pale.
“Yeah, theres no mistaking it, they’re on their way to attack… and if that the case then it must be true. The human Capital really must have fallen.”, Claire said despairingly.
“W-w-w-w-what are we going to do?”, Grey stammers, shaking in fear.
“We can’t fight the here, we’d easily fall to them, besides we promised not to, we will return and warn them of the impending danger. There's also a chance that we aren’t the only ones they are going after. We need to warn the other Demi-Human races as soon as possible”, Claire says decisively.
“At this distance, we should arrive a few days before they can attack.”, Tia states, judging the distance between them and the stampede.
“Alright, lets hurry.”, Claire says. As they race off, back towards the Southern Beast Tribe.
Meanwhile, back in the Southern Beast tribe, Ray and Lilly were currently completing a mission. After Ray had completed his training with Luke, he and Lilly had taken up their adventuring more seriously, taking stacks of missions and completing them one by one. Due to them accepting and completing so many job requests, they had already advanced onto the metal rank within the guild and were now able to take bronze ranked quests.

As a giant snake lunges towards Ray, he swiftly moves underneath the snake and swings his mana blade above his head, beheading the serpent with a single swing of his blade. Meanwhile, Lilly, using her dagger, narrowly evades a lunging serpent and brings her dagger down into its skull. The body wriggles and jerks violently, trying to buck her off however after lifting the blade up once again, it now engulfed in mana and plunges it back into its skull, the blade sinking in much easier and finally putting an end to the giant snake.
Lilly gets off the snakes body, wiping the small amount of sweat that had began to drip down her forehead.
“Nice work Lilly, you’ve really gotten good with that dagger, you didn’t use your bow and arrow once there.”, Ray says impressed.
“Thanks, I can’t be the only one not improving.”, Lilly says with a determined smile on her face.
“Alright, lets get these fangs and scales and cash in our bounty.”, Ray says excitedly.
As the pair defang and descale the snakes, Lilly asks a question.
“How do you think Claire and Tia are?”.
“I recon they’re both fine. Claire is the strongest of us all and Tia has fought against these demons before so she knows what's she's doing if anything bad happens. I just hope they don’t run into anything they can’t handle.”.
Another 2 weeks come and go filled with Ray training his new form, Ray and Lilly adventuring and completing job quests and Ray spending time with his new dragon companion, Salamander.
Ray and Lilly were relaxing in the back garden of the giant estate, when 4 figures emerge through a secret passage at the back of the castle
“RAY, WE’RE IN BIG TROUBLE!!”, Claire says hurriedly.
