The demon stands there, frozen, as the blood oozes from the gaping hole in its midriff, the area around the wound burnt to a crisp. The demon coughs up blood from both heads and wobbles on its feet. However, just before he collapses, he holds strong and lets out a mighty roar, so powerful that the air begins to vibrate in the room. That shot hadn’t killed it.

The demon moves slowly and then begins to charge towards Lilly, who was dumfounded that the demon was still alive.

Alex puts his hands parallel to each other, a few inches between them. As he slowly descends through the air, as if he was a balloon slowly deflating, a ball of blood appears, spinning faster and faster, growing bigger and bigger, however, Alex was forcing the ever-expanding blood into the small ball, the force and pressure building up. As the pressure continued to increase the ball becoming unstable, ready to blow out in all directions. He claps his hands together.

The small ball of blood, which was the size of a golf ball, is squashed and the pressure rockets out forwards towards the demon's head with such speed it rivalled the speed of Lilly's arrows and Ray. It had been a second, but the high-pressured beam of blood had flown and pierced right through one of the demon's head and through the ground itself.

The other head roars out in pain as the other head drops, limp. As the head that still had 2 eyes left glared at Alex. The loud crackling of lightning echoed around the room. The demons head slowly looked at Lilly, to see a giant crackling bolt of lightning aimed at his head. As she released her fingers from her bow string the bolt of lightning zoomed. Obliterating the demon's head.

The demon stopped moving and fell backwards. Officially and finally dead.

Alex lands on the floor and falls to his ass.

“Well then. That was... something.”, Alex said panting, that battle went on longer than he expected.

“If this is what we went up against... I'm worries about the others.”, Lilly says.

Just then Claire and Tia come running into their chamber. A dead demon slung over Claires shoulders.

“Are you guys, okay?”, Claire asks, looking at the giant, dead demon before them.

“Yeah, it was a tough fucker.”, Alex says.

“Where's Ray?”, Lilly asks.

“We thought he was with you.”, Tia said looking around.

All of them taking in their recent experiences, the others feel slightly anxious.

Ray slowly sits up; he had rested for a few minutes and although he was still exhausted, he had gained back a bit more energy. As he slowly stands up, he realises he is completely naked and the long hair he had been growing was a lot shorter now, it must have burnt off along with his clothes. He slowly walked over to the dead demon who had a hole in her chest and picked her up. He was going to take her as further evidence that the demons were in fact back for when the meeting with the other Demi-human leaders occurs and then he stops.

“If what Zhena had said was true and the demons were on their way to the capital, there could be an attack before anyone knows what going on.”, Ray thinks to himself.

What was most important now, was checking out the current condition of the human plains to see of it had already been compromised by a swarm of demons or not.

As Ray makes it to the hole in which he fell from, he hears the sound of rushing air. As he looks up and squints to see what's going on, he is suddenly met by a pair of long legs, soft thighs and a face full of white cloth before he falls to the ground, head slamming off the floor, causing a crater at where his head collided with the ground. Surprisingly, it didn’t hurt, this was probably due to his most recent evolution. Although his body didn’t knowingly change physically, everything about him was much stronger, powerful and durable.

“Um... can you get off me please.”, Ray mumbles under Lilly's skirt.

Blushing profusely and with repeated apologies, she stands up and gets up off him. As she looks at him, she realises he’s naked and can’t help but look him up and down. Her face finally reaches the peak of red, and she collapses to the ground, steam coming from her head.

As the others land down and see Ray, completely naked, Tia covers her eyes, then slowly peeks, then covers her eyes again.

“Oh my.”, Claire says as she looks away.

“W-what happened here?”, Alex asks, trying not to burst into laughter.

“I’ll tell you lot when we get back, I’m completely exhausted. Also, does anyone have any spare clothes? Mine kind of got burnt.”

After finding him a spare set of undergarments and exiting the dungeon, with the demons' corpses they slowly make their way around the back of the castle and sneak their way back in through the southern entrance.

As Ray gets a new set of clothes to wear, he, Lilly, Claire, Tia and Alex go into the conference room with the king and queen of the southern and northern beast tribe. There, they all explain their experiences.

“I see, so from what we’ve gathered from everyone, is that these demons are currently, if not already, are on their way to the capital where the demon ruling over the humans, Bheldrid is going to get serious, possibly causing the extinction of humans and then turn their attentions to the other nations. We also don’t know when it will happen, they could arrive tomorrow or a month from now.”, Mary says seriously.

Ray nods in confirmation.

“What I’m curious about. Is how Ray can speak even the languages of the demons.”, Regi says curiously.

“When the goddess of all life revived me, she blessed me also with the understanding of all languages, that why I was able to communicate with Ken on first meeting, as well as Lilly and the kids, without having to learn previously.”, Ray said, his acting flawless.

“God, praise the goddess for that, without that ability. We would have no idea about the demons' plans.”, Luke states.

Suddenly, Tia bows before the rulers.

“Pleases your highness’s, allow me to investigate. We need to know the current state of the human plains. If there has been no demon activity yet then I will blend in easily, no problems. But if there has been...”, Tia voice fades.

The others all look at each other.

“Please allow me to go too. We will make sure to return straight away once we are aware of the news. And, if the worse is indeed true, we will make sure not to engage without caution.”. Claire says bowing.

“Alright, we will allow you to go investigate but be careful, if the worse is indeed true, then we will need both of you in this upcoming war. Not to mention when it comes to uniting the Demi-human alliance against the demons and trying to save the humans. You two will play a huge role.”, Mary says with a smile on her face.

After thanking her profusely, the meeting is put on pause, until Claire and Tia return with their information.
