The monstrous, shadowy, knock-off Dyllan let out a low growl as it turned away from where Finnegan had been standing and marched slowly toward its counterpart. As soon as it was within arm’s reach of Dyllan, though, it paused. It stumbled, as though drunk, then fell over. Sunshine yellow energy crackled across it, restoring it to its original, more human form. Seeing how Dyllan and his shadow were mirrored, this was likely a delayed side effect from when Dyllan was healed by Finnegan.
“Rrgh! Dammit! I… Dammit! I hate you! I hate you so much!” Shadow Dyllan pulled himself back onto his feet, glaring fiercely with his pure black eyes. “I just… I… Grgh… RAAAAH!”
“Hey. You.” Finnegan’s voice came from behind the aggressive shadow. This time he was significantly closer. Glowing yellow Will to Live trailed all the way from an upper floor of one of the main street’s skyscrapers to the alleyway where Finn now stood, only a few yards from shadow Dyllan. It was quite a sight. There was more Will to Live than could be fit into a kiddie pool, let alone a person. Andie had never even shed enough to fill a bucket, but in spite of his great loss, Finn seemed to be happy as a clam. “Yes, you - black and white television boy. You interrupted us. That’s rude.” The shadow snarled and charged Finnegan, who remained unfazed. “Rush through the darkness, my Optimism.”

Lightning crackled throughout the air, reaching out to Finnegan’s lost Will to Live and pulling it back toward him. The viscous, sunshine yellow liquid began to gel up and solidify, rapidly healing Finn’s wounds as it swirled around him. Then, with a thunderous boom, he launched forward, tearing through his surroundings as he flew. With a flash of light, he hit shadow Dyllan head-on and sent him flying into the distance, taking a building or two with him in the process. The collateral damage was devastating, flinging torn chunks of concrete up into the air to rain down seconds later.
But just as Cedric was about to question the effects this destruction would have on their patient’s mental health, a quiet static began to pop and spark throughout the debris. Soon, all that had been broken by Finn’s attack began to pull itself back together. It all shone with a bright yellow glow, and began to regenerate to a much healthier and more vibrant state - even brighter than it was before it had been torn apart.
“Well, now that the distraction is gone, I’m sure you all have questions…” A huge, goofy grin splattered itself across Finnegan’s face, then briefly quivered with nervousness. “…but I don’t know how many answers I can give.”
