“Hey… Andie?” Gears turned and shifted throughout Dyllan’s head, as a plan slowly started to form. “How did you say you broke into my Nightmare again?”
“I didn’t say, actually.” Andie shrugged. “Mostly because I’m not entirely sure myself. I was running primarily on instinct, and my shadow was in the pilot’s seat for most of it… so all I really know is what my original plan was. You were metaphorically stuck inside your Nightmare, and metaphors dictate physics within mental spaces, so I needed to literally - physically get inside your Nightmare.” She paused. “Why do you ask?”
“Because.” A madman’s grin spread out across Dyllan’s face.“I have an idea.”
“Awesome! What is -” Andie was interrupted by Dyllan taking off at full speed, barreling towards the hole in the hangar’s wall. “- it…” She sighed and cupped her hands around her mouth, shouting after Dyllan as he left. “Try not to get yourself killed!”

Then, with one deep breath and one giant leap, Dyllan plunged back into the ethereal waters of Cedric’s mindscape. He plummeted downward for seconds that seemed to drag on forever, falling and falling until a giant maw shimmered into existence beneath him, swallowing him up into darkness. After a brief, pitch black silence, the darkness began to stir - flowing and churning like underwater currents during a storm. It steadily gathered speed and thickened into a heavy sludge, catching Dyllan up in its flow and knocking him around until he washed up onto a beach.
At least, it felt like a beach? Not important. Dyllan dragged himself upright and did his best to get his bearings - to little success. Just like the inside of his own Nightmare, everything was the exact same textureless shade of pitch black, which made navigating via sight impossible. At least the air was breathable in here.
