The red and gray smoke billowed into Andie’s face, obscuring her vision and dizzying her senses. She fruitlessly tightened her grip on Dyllan’s Nightmare - its flesh and bone quickly fading away, leaving Andie grasping at thin air. She wasn’t falling though. Just… floating in a sea of wide open, smoky nothingness until she felt her feet touch solid ground.
The smoke cleared and Andie’s senses straightened out. Nothing but darkness surrounded her. There were no walls, no floors, and no ceiling - only inky blackness. Still, her feet seemed to be planted firmly on some kind of ground.
Most would be reluctant to move in this environment - especially with the ominous sinking feeling that prevailed throughout the void. Andie, however, did not hesitate to stride forward and explore her surroundings. It didn’t take long for her to find what she was looking for: Dyllan and his ego. Though how she’d found them and where they’d been before she turned around and saw them remained a mystery. Oh well.

The first to speak was Dyllan, who was laying down on what Andie assumed was the ground - arms folded and face scowling. “Oh, good. Andie’s second ego is here.”
“My god.” Andie gasped with feigned shock. “It can talk.”
“It’s amazing the things you notice when you stop monologuing to yourself long enough to acknowledge someone else’s presence, isn’t it?”
“Well, I’d monologue to someone else… but there’s no one worth the effort.” Andie waved her hand dismissively. “But that’s beside the point.” She glanced over at Dyllan’s ego, who was slumped against a seemingly nonexistent wall. “Go pick your ego up off the floor, I’m here to fix your stupid problems.”
