Cedric stumbled out of the way of the incoming sword in a panic, just barely dodging the initial impact only to be knocked off the station by the shrapnel it sent flying. He sent out a pair of illusory drones - one to catch him, and one to secure Dyllan, who he was choosing to believe had safely avoided getting cut in half.
As soon as Cedric caught his breath and secured his footing on the drone, he sent out another two drones - just to make sure Dyllan made it to safety - and began to collect himself. He needed to examine the wreckage while it was still fresh, and although his drones could probably rescue Dyllan on their own, giving them a little help searching for him couldn’t hurt.
Besides, when it came to reconnaissance, the new and improved Cedric was one hell of a multitasker. “Dive beneath the surface, my Empathy.” A pleasant chime dinged inside Cedric’s mind, as a projection of all his senses echoed throughout the mindscape. Soon two icy purple holographic screens appeared before Cedric. One showed a badly injured Dyllan being dragged to safety by illusory Cedrics, and healed by the illusion’s drones. The other… screen… Other screen showed…

Cedric found his eyes and mind quickly turning back to the screen that showed his injured friend every time he tried to turn them away. He needed to focus, staring at Dyllan would not make him heal faster, but paying attention to the other screen could really help his only other true friend.
Cedric took a deep breath and forced himself to close the screen showing Dyllan, replacing it with a new one that tracked Andie’s Dream - which was still chasing her Nightmare, though its blade was far more successful at cutting apart the mindscape than the Nightmare it was aiming for. A suboptimal situation, to say the least.
