Chapter 7
Fly like a Buffalo
With all the innocence of a blissful minor, I skipped along the stone road. It was kind of fun. At first I was moving at a playful pace but eventually I started to add power behind each skip, and before I knew it. I was soaring through the air like a used condom… or something with wings like a buffalo.
My wife says buffalos don’t have wings. She even showed me a picture of a Buffalo with its wings cut off. She is such a dummy, but despite that I still love her.
Each skip got me about forty feet worth of distance. My body was so light I could hurl myself endlessly with little to no effort. It was like I was a rag doll. It felt less like I was falling and more like I was gliding.
Due to the fear of human biology. I was still holding back. There was no way of knowing if my body could handle a full powered skip. For all I knew I might brake my legs simply just trying to get off the ground.
So far everything felt right. Nothing hurt. There was a bit of strain on my ankles but nothing to serious. I was starting to get a little tired but that was nothing. The rush I felt from being able to move so far with little to no resistance felt amazing. Have you ever heard of a runners high. Well I call this a skippers high.
Power skipping reminded me of a dream I had once. In it I could jump long distances and glide on the wind. That was until dad showed up as a giant gorilla and swatted me out of the sky like I was some kind of bug.
What the hell was that about! Is it some kind of metaphor. Best I could make of it. My dad was tying to crush my dreams. Which he did repeatedly… ruthlessly. Sometimes even unknowingly. Like that time he got drunk and told me he was gonna build me and my brother a tree house but then ended up with a nail in his hand.
That day little Isaac had to drive his dad to the hospital while his little brother tried desperately to keep their drunk passed out father from bleeding out. Looking back on it now brought a smile to my face. That whole situation was just ridiculous. Especially when the doctors asked me if dad had taken any drugs. Like I was supposed to know what drugs my old man was on.
Forget flying. Long jumping was the shit. The feel of taking off. The reverberation running up my legs from the impact that came with each landing. I especially loved how it felt when my feet would slide grinding the dust between my shoes and the ground. The experience was all to perfect. It was even better than sex. Whoa there Isaac. Don't go crazy now. Okay so maybe it was a close second to sex. No, more like third. Right behind snorting a fat line of Molly off your future wife’s ass crack while Mexican rave music plays in the background.
There was so much neon paint that night. Holy shit. She was blue I was pink and together we made purple.
I kind of wish I could skip bear foot, but then I’d need to explain to Shadow why my feet were dirty. She would probably freak out. I didn’t particularly care about what she had to say. It was more the fact that she wouldn’t stop nagging. My anxious nature made her words hit hard.
As an adult man I rather enjoyed walking bear foot. The feel of the ground between my toes felt nice. It was raw and real. There was so much sensory going on it was nice to actually feel something with my feet. Most of the time you’d wear shoes basically locking your feet into sensory deprivation.
Let me tell you the moment you take your shoes off and actually feel the ground is amazing. Like growing your hair out then cutting it all off in a drunken stupor.
I remember cutting my hair off once and feeling rain hit my ear for the first time in over a year. It was such a weird feeling. the first rain drop startled me but at the same time the long forgotten sensation excited me. It was like the first time I tried cocaine.
The first time you try something is always the best. That’s why I was constantly quitting drugs cold turkey. That way I’d get a bigger rush when I jumped back into one. While it did heighten the experience. It was never the same as the first time.
I really wanted to enjoy power skipping. This was the first time for me. I wanted to really take in the experience
Mantis managed to hop up onto the roof tops with little effort, however he had stronger bone density than I did, and going up was the act of fighting gravity, while moving sideways was more akin to a satellite orbiting the planet.
His strength ratio was probably higher than mine so each point gave him more strength than it did for me. Then again my strength stat was pretty high so I was probably still stronger. Not by much. It was the difference between a fully grown man and a fully grown man on some form of bath salts.
I was already moving close to fifty feet with each jump. I should be able to just jump up there. The buildings were from twenty-four to sixty-five feet tall. The question was could I get down without hurting my legs?
Last time when Mantis took me up there. I was afraid to jump down. Shadow actually had to pick me up and drop down herself. I protested a bit but she did it so fast I didn’t really get the chance to fight back.
Her logic was she was a cat and cats always landed on their feet. Sure cats land on their feet, but what if they were hurtling through space and began to burn up upon entering the atmosphere. Bye, bye kitty that’s what I’d say. She said the landing hurt a little but that it didn’t actually bother her.
We’re my bones strong enough to withstand a drop like that? I wasn’t sure. Most likely it would be fine considering my stats said I weighed forty-five pounds and was about four inches away from being four feet tall. Meaning I might just be light enough to where I don’t produce the necessary inertia to brake said legs.
I broke my leg once back in middle school. Let me tell you not fun. I thought I could get away from my bullies by jumping out the window. It kind of worked. Right up until they came outside and started beating me. Thanks to my broken leg I couldn’t get away.
I know what your thinking. My weight and height sounded like the size of a six or seven Year old. Well… you'd be wrong. Because I was not that. I was nine at the most. Eight and a half at worst. You got that! Anyway moving on.
The way stats worked were pretty complicated. So say you’re a human. As a human male you get a 0.4 boost to your base strength whenever you gained a stat point in strength.
This did not hold true in the new world. It was slightly more complicated now. Age and size seemed to play a big part in it. It hadn't been clear at first but now I was sure of it.
As a little kid. My strength was low due to the fact I didn’t have all that much muscle mass. When I gain a stat point the system would only add a 0.05 to my actual strength instead of the usual 0.2 meant for a human female.
By the way 0.2 was like 20% and 0.05 was like 5%. It’s not like you were at a disadvantage for playing as a girl. Honestly it depended on what build you wanted. Classes also affect your stat ratios. They either brought something down or pushed something up.
In the game Aku hadn’t actually been optimized for the berserker class. That’s why my avatar wasn’t in the top ten list. I was number nineteen in the player rankings. Not bad right.
Sure I could have deleted the avatar and started over with a large half giant character. Except… I couldn’t do that because I didn’t want to abandon Aku. I thought it was really funny that a little girl was running around as a berserker. Not to brag, but really… when you think about it, being ranked nineteen with my avatar just showed how skilled I was.
My rank meant nothing though. Eco was ranked eight. Luca was twelve. Mao was ten. Rhyme was sitting in the top five at rank three.
The rankings were based off a lot of things. From the amount of experience you’ve accumulated. To the amount of monsters you’ve killed. Things like PVP win rates and how many classes you’ve maxed out all went into account. I didn’t really pay all that much attention to that stuff though. Because you could make it up there without ever fighting a single player.
It was pretty hard to gain the necessary stat points in vitality to make berserker useful. I had to pick up a lot of melee based classes just for the stat experience.
That’s the other part about stats. Classes didn’t award stat points. They did but not the way you think. Classes gave experience to each of your stats. Depending on the class it awarded different amounts to each stat. That way you couldn’t just max your stats out at nine-hundred-ninety-nine. Simply by picking up every single class and leveling them like half way.
The higher your stats went the more class experience they needed to go up. Once you got as many classes as I did. You might see an increase in your stats once every other class. Though that wasn’t the only way to increase a stat.
Stat experience was also awarded by doing certain things in-game. Swing your sword around and you’ll get experience in strength. Run around a bunch and get experience in dexterity. Use magic a lot and get experience in both wisdom and intelligence. This was called stat training. The results weren’t game breaking but they did add up over time.
To compensate for the loss of 2 vitality. I’d even used special gear that boosted my health. That included the demon spawn bed I supposedly slept in. You would not believe how rare that bed was. Nowadays I just wanted to get rid of it. It was still sitting in my room at this very moment. I wouldn't be surprised if the castle was filled with demons by now.
As for the other human ratios. Women gained a 0.4 in dexterity and a 0.3 in intelligence. While guys only got a 0.2 in dexterity and a 0.2 in intelligence.
Guys also had a 0.3 in wisdom and a 12 in vitality. While women got a 0.2 in wisdom and a 10 in vitality. Perception was equal between them at 0.3.
This was how they worked in-game. In the new world — thanks to a bit of observation — it varied from person to person. I actually looked at my stat ratios and a lot of things made sense now.
My vitality had a ratio of 1. That explained my lack of health. My strength was at 0.12. That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but it was still pretty bad. I could still punch a hole through a car but other people could now bench press a truck. Wisdom was at 0.02. That was reasonable for a kid considering children didn't really have all that much life experience. That was also why my focus regeneration was so slow.
Intelligence… that was just wow. Just wow. It marked me off at a 0.8. I think it makes sense considering how smart kids are. They learn so quickly. There minds aren’t bogged down with life. Mine is but thanks to my intelligence ratio, everything felt clear in my head. My mental state while stressed has held up longer than I expected.
The high intelligence explained why my focus bar was so high and why my spells held so much power behind them. I also couldn't help but notice I could do math in my head now. I could do it in the old world but now it was so much smoother and my head didn't hurt as much afterwards. My calculations for time dilation only took me a few seconds to figure out.
My perception stat also had a ratio of 0.8. I've heard that kids see the world as it is. Not to mention kids usually have better eyes than adults. It explained why my vision was so good. That's why everything looked so colorful. Not because of drugs but because my perception was so potent.
It also explained my good hearing. Everything came in super clear. I could even pick up and isolate conversations from crowded rooms. It was so cool I felt like superman listening to the neighbors take a dump.
My dexterity was at 0.6. Meaning I was flexible in all kinds of ways. Not that that was useful for a girl Akus age. I thought about doing a split but I was currently on a timer. It also affected my movement speed making me fast and nimble. This was all before you added in the ratio gains and losses due to the class I had slotted in.
I was originally skipping out of boredom but now I think I can make this my new form of travel. I was actually getting kind of good at controlling how far I went.
I could jump but it didn't have the same fluidity that came with skipping. Skipping was the combination of running and jumping. The momentum of running fed right into your jump and the momentum of jumping fed right back into running.
I was finally starting to get tired. My legs were burning. Stopping, I fell on my sore ass and tried to catch my breath. There weren’t very many people around. It probably had something to do with the lack of lighting. This wasn't one of the main roads. It was off of Verta street. It didn't even have a sign indicating it’s name. My map said I was on hickory road. I thought the roads would be named 1st or 2nd. Actually those names were reserved for the streets closest to the center of the city. Around the castle.
Its so dark here, I should really fix that. I'm sure I can build a few lamp posts out here. Wait, wait, that would be to expensive. My country is fantasy based so light posts were extra expensive. I'm pretty sure there's a magical equivalent that's more cost effective. I wish Mao was here. He would know. Him and Clara were off in the NPC kingdom Arvoes. It seemed like there messages were either delayed or lost. It was hard to tell. From my understanding Mao was trying to create a trade deal that would give entropy access to the NPC market.
I was under the impression that that was already a thing. Turns out I was completely wrong. Entropy had access to the markets of allied countries. Arvoes wasn't an ally. It turns out no one had access to Arvoeses market.
If Mao pulled it off then that meant I’d be able to buy interesting items from Arvoes. Entropy would also be able to sell to them bringing up the cities income. I wasn’t sure what I could get from them. though, there kingdom didn’t have a specific affinity. That gave them access to all sorts of different types of items. There was no penalty for tech or magic. I just needed to pay the delivery fee. If I had access to it. I could get all kinds of goodies for a discount.
Sitting here in the dark made me a little uneasy. My anxiety was starting to settle back over my shoulders. It wasn’t paralyzing. Not yet at least. I needed another pick me up.
I managed to gain a bit of confidence from the situation at the bar. With it I was finally able to be alone. I still felt kind of scared of getting abducted but I pushed those feelings into the hole like a landfill.
If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been unlawfully taken from Royal Road. Please report it.
To insure I wouldn’t start freaking out I thought of things that pissed me off. Waiting in traffic. Those people from the church that knock on my door every weekend. Alice’s brother Mikey. Ten hot dog buns to eight hotdogs in each package. Paying fifteen dollars at a restaurant only for them to spread the food out like there cementing bricks, making the whole thing flat. Like some asshole painting a picture! I fucking hate those restaurants! Those assholes say “Oh it’s art, see how the mashed beans are smeared on the plate. It represents the ground and the avocado represents grass.” That’s fucking bullshit! I came for a meal sir, not a weird ass food painting! There’s hardly anything on the fucking plate! You’d better run it through again cause I am not paying for it!
“Fucking assholes! Make me pay for some bullshit!” I kicked an empty metal trashcan creating a dent in its side.
I wish that asshole was here trying to open his restaurant. Oh man I’d fucking take a shit on a plate smear it in then make him pay me a full gold coin to eat it. You can’t discriminate man! It’s art!
“Fucker”
There we go. That’s the good stuff. It was time to keep moving. This wouldn’t take long. I just needed to put an order into the blacksmith. The highest level blacksmith was Cindy. She was level ninety-two. Cindy was also the first blacksmith I ever hired. It would be interesting to actually meet her. I remember her as a sprite on my computer. I might of jerked off to it once or twice. The meet up might be a little awkward, but she was the best so I couldn't go somewhere else.
As far as NPC levels went. Cindy was basically an end boss. At level ten NPCs were basically mini bosses. That's just how there stats worked. It took a bit of work to level one up and once they did. They were easy pickings for mid level players. Once they gained the experience to level. You had to then pay for them to level up.
Ranking up was even worse. NPCs ranked up every ten levels. Not only did you need to pay gold you also had to sacrifice special boss drops called evolution crystals. The guild had quite a few but it wasn't enough to max out a whole army.
Creating an army of NPCs was almost impossible. Not only was leveling a pain. Gearing them up was annoying. If they died the player that killed them got the gear so it was never a grate idea to hand out unique weapons and armor. Leather armor with some chainmail usually worked. Though, that made them even more useless.
Most guilds didn’t bother with NPC soldiers. Not unless there players were low level. Most of the time they were more like Canon fader to get your opponents to exhaust there resources.
My favorite thing to do was fill the NPCs inventory with stacks upon stacks of demon spider legs. Since every time you put one in your inventory there was a 20% chance of being curse with weakness for five seconds.
Weakness cut your strength and movement speed by 10%. The percentage didn't stack but the timer did. At twenty per stack — with the NPCs limited inventory space of thirty slots — the chances of getting weakness were fairly high. Especially since player inventory was limitless.
To make the NPCs even more appetizing. I made sure to give them enchanted gear. Nothing crazy. Maybe a slight increase in durability. Just enough magic to make the armor nice and shiny. Just enough shiny to tickle the greed of my enemies.
My strategy wasn't all that popular due to the fact you had to Actually grind for demon spider legs. Technically you could use them to form curse arrows but it wasn't worth the time investment. I usually just set up bounties on the player board and offered up one silver per stack. That was slightly more than what they were worth.
Usually you could sell them for three copper a peace but my price got you five copper a leg. It was a pretty good deal when you think about it. That's like an extra forty copper per stack. I mean if you have the legs you might as well sell them to me.
When I told my guild mates about my strategy they all went quiet for a minute. I believe most of them said I was evil. Shadow didn't understand what I was saying. Mao said “That's smart” while Rhyme thought my idea was to dishonorable. She came around when I told her if she thought it was honorable for max level players to slaughter level one NPCs. She stayed quiet after that.
The bait was meant to attract assholes so there was no honor to begin with. Those that wanted to steal from the spiders nest better be careful as to not get caught in its web.
As bad as NPC soldiers seemed. I know for a fact they were summoned knowing how to fight. Not just that but there AI wouldn’t be stupid. That would be a huge advantage compared to the players that got isekaied. I just needed to make sure they were properly leveled and geared up. I’d need to use a lot of coin but with my vast wealth it would be easy to pay for it. I could use the guilds money but that was more Mao’s than mine.
Originally the players made all the money from the NPC shops but now the empire was paid in taxes. 5% from all sales went to the guild. The guild once a week gave everyone a percentage of 2% to each of its members. As guild leader I got 5%. Mao got 4% for vice leader.
I could always change it to where the members got a flat amount of gold but it was better this way because it showed everyone how good Entropy was doing.
Most of my money came from killing and selling mob loot. It was pretty easy to gather money in TEO. Well that was true for most RPGs. I wasn’t sure what it was like in the new world. I was lucky being empress of Entropy. That gave me a steady income of a couple hundred gold a week. Considering one gold had about the same value of one-thousand US dollars I was doing pretty good.
I wasn’t really a billionaire. I was more like a millionaire. That's still a lot. That's the most money I've ever had. The most I’ve ever got was 22k. That was back when my mom and dad’s life insurance kicked in. Everyone got a little money out of it. My sister got the most since she was my parents favorite.
My current allowance seemed to go up slowly as time went by. A little while ago it was at eight silver but now. It had gone up to one gold and thirty-four copper. The money would be dropped into my inventory in a week. The last time I got paid was the last in-game night. I was basically making over a hundred gold every thirty-five minutes in real world time. That’s insane. How did I only have 1k crystal then?
I did waste a lot of coin on upgrading my equipment. There’s no real limit to upgrades. It’s really all about how much money and materials you had to put into gear. I was at the point where my grate sword needed several hundred crystal to upgrade. Usually only big guilds could afford to upgrade weapons like that. That’s what separated us from the neutral players. To bad I couldn’t even swing it anymore.
Starting up again, I flew through the air landing with a puff of dust. That jump got a total of sixty feet. Not bad considering my feet didn't hurt upon impact. That was the point of the experiment.
I was also trying to get away from the people following me. I passed them a while back and now they were slowly creeping behind me. Normally I’d freak out, but right now I was kind of pissed and felt like blowing off some steam. I didn't feel like contacting Shadow so I decided to not use to many skills or get hit. As long as my health bar didn’t go down and my focus stayed decently high, Shadow wouldn’t come looking for me. Even if I can’t handle it, If I make it to Cindy she can keep me safe, but I really wanted to punch something.
It wasn't every day I had the confidence to fuck with people. I really wanted to confront them, but felt like I should probably get closer to Cindy’s shop just in case.
I was about ten blocks away. Hopefully they wouldn't lose interest. Kind of like when my mom stopped posting my art on the fridge. For a kid in kindergarten it was cute but for a 7th grader. It was just weird. Especially with all the sexual content I was dishing out. Sorry mom.
There was a bit of a problem. I was in the middle of town and there was about five of them. What if we broke a building or hurt an NPC. I remember their faces. They were the people I saw back in the bar. I was watching them as Luca, Shadow, and I were talking about our plans. They seemed interested. My ears even managed to pick up a little bit of there conversation. If I hadn’t misheard them they wanted to take my empire from me. They’d been following us ever since we left the bar.
If your wondering why I’m not afraid. It’s because there all really low level. I’d say they’d only joined TEO a day or two ago. I wasn’t sure if I should beat them up or not. I wanted to hit something but I also wanted to know what there deal was.
Were they actually just thugs that wanted my money or were they having a bad time and didn’t have any other way of continuing. Maybe I’ll try the talking thing first.
At first I wondered why they thought they could pick on me when my level was maxed out. Then I remembered people with low perception couldn’t see levels higher than twenty. It was such a noob thing I’d completely forgotten about it. To there eyes I was only level twenty. The last time I dealt with that was in the early days of joining TEO. That was like ten years ago. These guys didn't even have enough perception to see my stats. The only thing that would show up was my fake level and my guild affiliation.
My gear was crap so they probably thought my level was accurate. Well actually my gear had a requirement level of twenty just to equip it. It was considered good gear up until level fifty. That was only when I had the black and pink stockings equipped. Right now it was incomplete. With the full set it’s stats jump up by 10%.
It wasn’t that crazy to believe I was level twenty. I was apart of a powerful guild so it only made sense my guild mates would gear me up.
There were items that could hide your level completely. My armor did something like that. It was fun to freak people out when I started owning them in PVP.
These guys weren’t completely stupid. They picked me for a reason. Shadow could easily take them. Luca even though she was drunk could still cast all kinds of nasty spells. There’s no way they’d go after them. The way I acted at the bar. They probably thought I was an actual kid. Sure why not the kid. Feed em candy keep it happy. Meanwhile we contact their guild and ask for ransom, or Entropy itself. The safer bet would be to get vast amounts of money from the guild.
No, the safer bet would be to kill us off and take everything. Break the guild crystal then start there own guild using our land as there Foundation. With me as a hostage it wouldn't be to hard to pull the guild into a trap. A head shot was a head shot after all.
They could see I was in the raiders guild. But they couldn’t tell I was the guild leader. Would they actually hurt a kid? Who knows.
I could be wrong and I imagined the whole thing. For all I knew they wanted to join my guild. Though it seemed a little sus that they didn't just ask me when at the bar. Why all the sneaking around? I wasn’t apposed to letting them join. We needed to unify the players and find a way home. They were very sus. What if I was stuck in amogus.
I quickly smacked my head. “Shut up brain. Not now!” of all the times to ponder nonsense now was not the time.
Regardless, if you come to harm me, my guild mates or my people. I will not hesitate to defend them or myself. If I can’t capture I'll kill. I’d rather not risk getting myself or anyone else killed because some asshole thinks I won’t go all out.
Ugh, I take it back these guys were kind of dumb. I had my mini map active and could see them moving next to me, one street over. I’m pretty sure one of them was right behind me using stealth, because I remember there being five of them. As the map was now, there was only four showing up.
I wonder what the plan was? Maybe if I run around I can jump into stealth and surprise them. let's play cat and mouse.
As I skipped through the air I looked over at the roof tops next to me. The four players were on the street over to my left and the stealth guy had to be somewhere behind me. That's where the breathing sound was coming from. The roof tops to my right were probably my best shot.
I made the jump up onto the roof then kept going onto the next street. Dropping down didn't hurt like I thought it would. I was putting more pressure on my legs while skipping than I did when falling thirty feet. I made my way into the shadows of the alleyway and before anyone could spot me I dropped into stealth.
Stealth seemed way to useful to take off my hot bar. I now had a bunch of attacks slotted in. Since martial arts were so useful against Mantis I added a few of my favorites. In total I had about three martial arts. Three magic spells. Two stacks of health potions. One small the other medium. The mediums could stack eight in total. With my short health pool. There was no point in drinking full potions. Medium was more than enough for a full heal. Besides full potions only had a stack of five.
As for small potions a stack of those was twelve in total. I could get a little over half of my health back with one of those. A small potion could easily save my life.
For the last slot I had five Zen potions. These could give you about a thousand units of focus. I needed it since my focus regeneration was so bad. I was actually prepared this time.
I even set my class to monk for the 0.1 boost to my wisdom ratio. It was now sitting at a 0.15. While still low, It was still a major improvement. I also had a passive skill that lowered the cost and cool down of abilities I might have.
Being as quiet as possible I pressed myself against the wall and waited. A moment later I noticed the sound of pitter-patter on the ground. There was a feint blue shimmer as they moved forward.
I wasn’t moving so I had no shimmer. The guy looked around and realized it was a dead end. Then checked the full map to try and find me.
I was no where to be seen. It was like I’d vanished off the face of the new world. He scratched his head dropping stealth. The guy looked like a fake ninja. Almost like someone that had gotten a dollar store costume. His face was covered in a mask only revealing his dark eyes.
Above his head was Grand_King23 level: 13. I decided to call him 23 for short. I couldn’t tell what emotions he had because of his mask.
I wanted to jump out and say “boo" but that would be stupid. A moment later I heard the sound of foot steps. They were accompanied by a group of players. One was a tall man in his twenties. He had short blond hair and was wearing leather armor over a white tunic and brown pants. He wore brown boots and had a Gladius sword on his hip with a Gladius shield strapped to his arm. His player name was Boner. Because of course it was. His level was nineteen.
Boner was the first to speak. “Where did she go?" He looked kind of aggressive. It was as if 23s response would determine who he was about to kill.
23 sighed. “I don’t know. She came down this way. Then disappeared.” He waited nervously for a response but Boner didn’t react right away. It was like the guy was trying to build fear in his teammate.
Before Boner could say anything one of his other companions chimed in. They cleared there throat before speaking. “B-Boner don’t worry we’ll find that kid.” The voice belonged to a girl in her early twenties. She wore light blue overalls, a pair of white stockings, some sandals, and a white collared shirt underneath. Her hair was a light brown almost hazel. It was a bit messy. She carried a large crossbow on her back. Her player name read Rosy_flowers<3 level: 17. I was just gonna call her Rosy.
The girl next to her backed her up. “Yeah my guy. She couldn’t have gone far.” This girl looked a bit younger. Maybe eighteen. She was of the wolf-kin race. Similar to Shadows cat-kin race. Her hair was an aqua blue. So was her big fluffy ears that seemed kind of big for her head. Shadow had big ears to but this girls ears were very tall. Their fur was blue at the base then faded into black at the tips. Her eyes had the same color. Her tail was really fluffy. I really wanted to touch it. Just like her ears the base was blue and faded into black at the tip. She almost looked like a fox. I couldn't help but notice the fangs in her mouth. She wore a black silk dress with a short Jean jacket on top. A pair of black leather boots fit snugly over her fishnet covered legs. She also had a plasma hand gun attached to a leg holster. On her back was a frequency rifle.
The hand gun could fire a single shot before you needed to change the cartridge. That single shot had the power of a grenade focused into an electrical bolt of blue flame.
The frequency rifle could fire indefinitely but the shots were kind of weak. It used kinetic energy as it’s ammo. The weapon did more damage to those wearing armor.
The girls player name read as Shaded_Sapphire level: 18. I was just gonna call her Shade. Sapphire was a mouthful. Shade just sounded cooler.
The last one in the group was a quite kid that shared similar features to Boner. I wasn’t sure if they were related or not but they looked similar with there short blonde hair and blue eyes.
The kid wore a chest plate made of tempered steel. It was probably the most expensive thing the group owned. It didn’t even look like it fit properly. I’d say he was only a year older than Aku. When I created Aku I made sure to move the slider all the way to the left insuring I’d have the smallest avatar you could possibly get. My hit box was so small sometimes I didn’t even have to crouch to avoid a bosses attack.
The boys player name was Austin_Is_Grate level: 8. Austin was the obvious choice for his canon name. He didn’t look all that happy. The kid looked like he really didn’t want to be here.
My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Boner go off. “You worthless peace of shit!” He threw a punch at 23 hitting him in the face.
23 went down hard. I felt blood land on my leg. I don't think anyone noticed. Rosy and Shade ran up behind him trying to hold him back. Shade yelled out. “Stop it! He couldn’t do anything!”
Rosy cried “You, You big bully!” both of them were no match for his physical strength. With his size and class. His strength ratios were probably higher than theirs. It didn’t help that he was higher level. He pushed them away. The guy was built like a line backer and was easily the highest level among them.
“You are worthless king! You hear me absolutely worthless!” Boner was holding 23 by the collar. Shade and Rosy were both up against the wall.” The silver lining was no one bumped into me.
“It should have been you! You should of died to those goblins! Not Lina! She was trying to save you! You could have helped her but you ran away like a fucking coward!” he punched 23 again getting a pained grunt out of him.
23 did nothing letting Boner push him repeatedly. He most likely felt responsible for the whole situation.
Shade quickly drew her plasma gun pointing it at Boner. “Stop, I’ll shoot! Back away from him!” her hands were shaking. Boner kept hitting 23. 23s health was dropping slowly. “I said stop it! Your going to kill him!” despite her words the gun didn’t fire.
Is she crazy. There's no safety on sci-fi weapons. That thing gives off a fairly big explosion. She was about to blow everyone up. Most likely she didn't feel like her frequency rifle could actually stop Boner.
The guy kept punching. 23 grunted. Blood dripped and splattered on the ground. Rosy curled up into a ball. Austin was expressionless. He was more or less already broken. Shade kept the shaky gun pointed at Boner. Her voice broke as she started to cry. “I mean it! S-stop!”
I couldn’t help but try to stifle a laugh. It didn’t work. Before I knew it my stealth had broken and I was cracking up like a mad man.
Everyone except for 23 — for obvious reasons — looked my way. I was bent over laughing. “ahahaha, Jesus Christ you guts are all fucked in the head!” I couldn't help it. The entire situation was a huge cliché. It’s like they were reenacting a scene from there favorite movie or something. They weren’t even that good.
