DEFEAT THE GENERAL!
TIER IV TROLL OGRE BARBELLON THE CANNIBAL APPROACHES!
DEFEAT THE GENERAL AND THWART THE PHALANX!
Jazmel groaned. Not only was it troll ogres, but it was a troop contingent of them.
Paldane I need you near. He whispered in his mind, and he felt Paldane killing a troll off to the side. He crunched down on its neck and tore it out before leaping into the sky and soaring towards them. Mary appeared, Bannerman came over too, both had been in the thick of the fight. They took this moment to drink Mana and stamina potions.
“Troll ogres, they are the worst of the worst.” Jazmel said, Mary nodded. She clearly had fought her fair share.
“We will split the task. We will manage the phalanx and you guys will oversee the general.” Deva said, he had stuck pretty close to Jazmel and the gate, his own party had fought around him, but they hadn't been close enough for Jazmel to see their skills.
“We will make the general rear his head. Then you guys remove it from his shoulders!” Deva explained and Mary agreed, it was a good idea after all.
The phalanx approached and Jazmel watched as Deva simply looked them over and motioned, pointing was enough. It spurred his people into action, and they hurried forward.
“Delta star, move out!” he yelled over the din, and they moved forward, his party led by himself. Guile had appeared, Jazmel wasn’t sure if he had jumped from the wall or hurried down. But he appeared and Jazmel watched as he brought his staff up.
The phalanx appeared, a troop of troll ogres. Each standing at nine feet. Wearing thick shodden armour. Iron and steel where Jazmel could make it out. They carried thick shields, swords, and spears. They were a true army contingent. They marched towards the wall, slow and steady. They didn’t even falter as they marched through the corpses of the first two waves.
The Warwolf had retreated and Jazmel watched in wonder. As Deva used a card and captured the wolf again. Jazmel was fascinated by this skill, it was clearly something Jazmel had not seen before. But it was also something he had never considered. He wondered just what sort of items or creatures Deva had come across and caught in his deck.

“Guile. Assess their mettle.” Deva asked and Guile raised his staff and cast his Mana in a great array.
Cardinal storm!
A cloud of pure Mana appeared; it wrought storm in a way Jazmel had never seen before. Bolts of not thunder, but fire rained down and struck the troll ogres. Each bolt burning everything it touched. The storm expanded above the phalanx and though Guile had created it with his
Wield!
Deva brought out another card and this time it was a creature Jazmel had seen before. An arcane warden, it appeared and before it could cast its chaos magic. Deva used another card on it, something that seemed to buff it and make it evolve.
DING!
TIER UP CARD USED ON ARCANE WARDEN HAS EVOLVED!
ARCANE WARDEN HAS BECOME ARCANE MARSHAL!
…
Chaos magic burst forth from the hands of the hooded creature of chaos and arcane magic and Mana. the storm raged from above, striking the phalanx nonstop. They faltered, one from the edge of the troop was caught and cried out. His shield slipped for a second and the cardinal storm burned through him. turning him into a pillar of ash. The others grunted and gathered into a tighter formation. But the arcane marshal cared little for that. It raised its hands and arcs of lightning burst forward, chaos and ruin rained on the troll ogres, and they broke. Their formation shattered.
Fire and brimstone!
Millie yelled as she rushed in, her hammer raised above her head. she slammed it into the ground and her Mana struck the ground and caused small fissures of molten rock to appear. the ground grew hot and sizzled. She wasn’t even done; she rushed forward and began smashing their shields and unprotected parts. Sukina was beside her, swinging her sword and nicking flesh where she could find purchase.
Plight of the blade!
Jazmel watched in wonder as she slashed and cut wherever she could. Backing off, she sheathed her blade and all the cuts and wounds she had made. Burst with blood, gouts of it rained and the troll ogres howled.
Wield!
Deva used another card, hurling it at the stricken and bleeding troll ogres. One burst forward but it was too late, the card burned and from the card great chains appeared. Chains of light and life latched onto the troll ogres, holding them in place. Chained to the spot.
“Helios!” Deva said and Jazmel remembered the small, bodied boy in a cape who didn’t speak.
Helios stepped forward, with wonder. Jazmel watched as he stepped into the air, ascended the clouds as if he were flying. His cape fell away and Jazmel saw he was bare skinned, aside from the shorts he had been wearing. He was even barefoot. He raised his hands and Jazmel’s Mana attuned eyes took notice of the ambient Mana as it began to pool into the space. It formed into a large glowing orb after a few minutes and that orb was growing, turning into a globe and soon a ball of light. It rivalled Baek’s moon of the white heron skill.
Apollo’s chariot!
Helios whispered, the skill locked, and the glowing orb of light, sun and Mana descended. Crashing onto the phalanx and burning a dazzling brilliance. Jazmel had to look away. Shielding his eyes.
DING!
THE TROLL OGRE PHALANX HAS BEEN DECIMATED!
THE GENERAL HAS COME!
