Jazmel woke up and groaned from body strain. It hurt to move but he could tell his body had recovered from his wounds and yet he still felt the ache.
He was in a bed, someone had laid him in a bed, and he found that he had been tucked in, he looked down to see the room and saw Sadé curled up at the end of the bed. She was sleeping quite peacefully, and he saw that beside the bed, his sword had been sheathed and propped up.
“You are awake.” He heard and looking over, he saw Baek sitting beside a table sipping tea.
“I am.” Jazmel said, his voice gruff from no speaking for some time.
“How long was I asleep for?” he asked and Baek looked at him before sipping his tea again.
“Three days.” He uttered.
Three days? Jazmel had been asleep for three days. How injured had he been. But he eased himself up to a sitting position, trying his best to not wake Sadé.
“How long has she been here?” Jazmel asked and Baek simply smiled.
“Since we brought you here.” he sipped his tea again. “she refused to leave your side, even when her retainer tried to stop her.” Baek told him and Jazmel nodded, Corin had shown him who she was. She had taken Sadé away and left Jazmel to fight. Baek listened to this, but he felt something change. He felt his Mana pressure lock down around them.
“I will speak with her before we move from here. young master.” Baek said and they said nothing else about the incident.
“The auction house have been allowing us to stay while you recuperate. They have asked for a moment of your time once you have healed enough to see them.” Baek explained and Jazmel nodded. Baek looked at Sadé for a moment and then hiding a smile, he got up. “I will go and see if they are prepared to speak with you.” He left them and after a few moments Sadé got up to sit at the edge of the bed.
“I am so sorry that she took me out of there.” She said and Jazmel simply pulled her closer and hugged her, she had her back to him, and he could feel her body jolt as she cried. But he didn’t say anything, he simply held her; together for the moment.
“I thought something happened to you; I wasn’t even strong enough to break her grip. By the time I realised what was happening we were almost out of the auditorium.” She explained in between sobs, he didn’t say anything and let her talk. He simply stroked her hair, her beautiful hair. He just let her cry as she needed to.
“Don’t worry about it, we survived. I survived.” He told her and shushed her while she cried. But she wasn’t going to stop any time soon, so he just let her cry. Which reminded him of their earlier fall out.
“It doesn’t matter to me if you become a princess, you have always been that to me. Or I have always thought of you as one. But I am just worried how things will change for me and you, I couldn’t build this faction without you.” He said and she cried even more, it upset her, and he wasn’t sure why.
“Jazmel I wouldn’t leave you. I wouldn’t leave the faction at all.” Jazmel heard her say into his shoulder and he simply smelled the scent of her hair.
“I need to return home, I need to tell my mother about Corin, and I need to get some things in order.” She said and Jazmel nodded, not interrupting her at all.
“Will you come to the coronation?” she asked, twisting to look up at him and study his face.
“If you want me to.” He told her and she turned back to lay on him again.
“The auction house want to reward you for staying and fighting. They didn’t even know about our faction, but now they are interested in asking for our help.” She told him and he listened intently.
“We should go and meet them shouldn’t we.” He told her and she got up to help him. “Wait let me check my stats, I haven’t yet.” She sat back down and smiled as she waited.

He was happy with his stats; he was considerably stronger, and he had worked hard for it. He remembered that he had gained a new plot also and looked back at those too.
PLOTS:
* FIX THE FOUNTAINS OF &4456&
* LEARN THE TRUTH ABOUT YOUR FAMILY!
He only had two now, but they were still prominent, he had already completed the other two. He had found Tango and he had also returned the branch and seed to Mirete. so now he was just pushing forward and heading towards his own goals, he wouldn’t forget his goals.
He stepped gingerly and Sadé rushed to his side to support him.
“I just need to get used to using my body again.” he said as she crooned around him. they made it to the door, him leaning on her as a crutch, but using as little of his weight as he could. He had gotten heavy since he tiered up, heavier and stronger.
“You’ve put on some weight Jazmel .” She grumbled and they laughed as they both opened the door. When the door opened, Jazmel saw the faces of Baek, Katie, Bannerman and Gelth. They were all standing outside his room and when they saw him up and mobile they all seemed grateful.
“We thought we almost lost you!” Katie said and Bannerman picked her up and hid her with his body covering her mouth with a large hand. He laughed at that, shocked by how quickly Bannerman moved. Corin was off to the side but staring at him. She looked at Sadé, then at him and then at Baek. But she said nothing. Baek clearly had spoken to her.
“Let’s go and see the Benbaurg auction owners.” Jazmel told his friends, and they took it in turns to help him down the stairs, three flights of stairs at that. Then he was in front of two double doors, the wood was vibrant and to Jazmel ’s delight he could see that they had been carved with Mana runes of warding and protection. He could see them, that and also the way the wards all focused on the door and the doorframe to strengthen one another.
Baek knocked the door, then after a moment the door opened and the head waiter from before opened the door. He noticed Jazmel and he inclined his head, a true show of respect.
Jazmel entered the door with his group, Baek off to the side and then Sadé and Katie on either side of himself for support.
The room was a large office with large wrap around windows. Jazmel could see the entire city from their place but that wasn’t the important thing at the moment. The man sitting at the table was who drew all of Jazmel ’s attention. He was an older gentleman, a human but he seemed a little different, Jazmel wondered if he was a seeker. But when he tried to peer at his Mana, his sight was blurred and then he felt a sharp pang of pain in his head.
He grunted and almost stepped back, but Katie held him up.
“You have some interesting eyes there.” The man said with a sly smile. He offered a seat, but Jazmel decided to stand.
“You and your faction staying to fight was boon we didn’t expect. We would like to reward you for your service but also to see if we can create somewhat of an alliance.” He said and Jazmel watched as his hands fluttered on his system and then he flicked it over to Jazmel .

Jazmel looked at the notice and then after reading through it he shared it with the others and they all looked at the notification, then looked at Jazmel waiting. He turned and caught the eye of Baek, who simply inclined his head. with respect he would do as Jazmel offered.
“I will accept this, but while we have ranker tiers and seeker tiers we do not currently have a master in our ranks.” Jazmel uttered and the leader nodded, but then he inclined his shoulders in a shrug.
“If your team fight how you all fought, we will well be alright with our needs. We will ensure that we only do excursions with the right level of safety, after all if your team cannot survive. Neither will any of us.” He responded and Jazmel realised the truth of it.
“When would you like to begin?” Jazmel asked and the main leader of the auction house stood up and then walking around his desk, he came to stand before Jazmel .
“We can start now if you have the people.” He offered and Jazmel nodded, but then he turned on his team and his mind began working quickly.
“Katie, Bannerman you will stay here. Guard them till Gelth returns. Gelth you need to return and get Mary to bring a group of the seekers with her.” Jazmel said and they all agreed without any hesitation.
“Walter, please take them to our store and have them pick their items before they leave.” He offered and Jazmel nodded as the first three left.
“I will go too; I need to head back home Jazmel .” Sadé interjected and he shuddered, steeling himself he nodded at her, and she hugged him quickly before leaving and Corin following behind her.
“Interesting.” The man said and he turned and then looked at Jazmel and Baek.
“I have some items on me now, tier III if you want them. I haven’t the collection of the stores, but I do have some items I found intriguing.” He uttered and Jazmel simply took the moment to sit down and waited to be shown.
The first item he pulled out was a sword, it was a katana that must have been made out of a storm or thundercloud. It crackled with lightning and Jazmel almost had to shield his eyes from it.
“I saw you wielding your katana and I imagined you would be seeking a sword, but this one doesn’t seem like you would have chemistry.” He said, but he left the sword on his desk. He thought for a moment and then he pulled another item from one of his rings.
The next item he brought out was a chunk of grave iron. Jazmel could feel the warmth of the room drop in temperature and the ore began to leech even the Mana from the enclosed space. The owner pulled it back in his ring to stop it, but he still offered it to Jazmel .
“That is the highest ore grade of grave iron I have; I saw the sword you used. That was frighteningly well made. So I thought you might want more in case you want to make anymore.” He explained and Jazmel understood why he would do that. But that also wasn’t what he was looking for, he thanked the man but wondered if he had anything else.
“I have one more thing, I am not sure you could use it. I wouldn’t even provide this to anyone else, but you earned this, surely.” He expressed, confessing that he was worried about the item. Even Baek moved forward to see what it was.
He pulled from his ring a thick crystal; it was even bigger than the iron ore. Jazmel couldn’t tell what it was until it thumped. It moved like a heartbeat and then he noticed the Mana that thrummed from it as it hummed with life.
“This is a master tier dragon’s heart. dragons are creatures of Mana and magic and so their hearts look like Mana hearts with a circle carved into them. that’s why it is still beating, even though it is not pumping blood.” Jazmel nodded, that was what he wanted, and it was something he felt as if it was calling to him.
“I will take that if you allow me.” Jazmel said, trying to hide his excitement. The owner looked between he and the item and with a smile, he offered it with a show of his hand. Jazmel accepted it and then waited but the owner waved him away.
“Get some rest, once you are ready you are welcome to leave on your tasks. I am aware that you will need to go about your duties.” He said, Jazmel rose up slowly and offering his hand they shook. He took the dragon Mana heart into his ring and then began to leave, then he remembered his items.
He explained to the owner and after realising what he said, he laughed. “I will have your coin returned to you and the corpse brought up too. I would even return your money to you if you would like?” but Jazmel declined and he felt the owner smile, was he assessing him. Jazmel was unsure, but he thanked him nonetheless and as he left. He turned to Baek.
“We should speak.”
“I agree, we should take some time and catch up.”
