Paldane flew at such a speed, that Jazmel literally had to lay across his back. To ensure he wasn’t unseated in the wind. They flew over the city, Jazmel could hear the cries and wailing even from their height. But he focused on getting to the eastern wall.
We have reached. It doesn’t look good. Paldane told him in his mind.
Drop me off and stay above. Rain down fire on everything and everyone. We need to stop them entering the city. Paldane swooped down and Jazmel slid off and leapt down. Landing on the wall in a feat of dexterity.
The gate had been broken down and smashed, something large and burly had used might. Broken through the wall and iron shod gates with nothing but strength. The faction here had fought a bloody fight. The creature corpses that laid strewn around were unlike anything Jazmel had seen. He could tell they were creatures of the woods, but they looked infected. Moss and mushrooms sprouted in sporadic places about the body. He watched as small plumes of miasma burst from the mushrooms. Spores all around.
Paldane burn the bodies! The spores are toxic! He screamed into his mind. He heard Paldane roar in the skies but couldn’t pinpoint him. instead he entered the city, following the trail of bodies and battle. To find these creatures.
After some searching, running along the alleyways and hidden streets. He heard the sound of battle; he had worked his way back towards the city centre and now as he raced forward. He found himself heading towards where the sounds of battle were fiercest.
He bounded, up and leaping off the side of a building he pushed his body into a leap out of a street and into the open.
Sunder!
He swung his sword, and he cut through the spore infected monsters, and they crumbled, frozen and frigid from the grave iron and cold iron ores within his blade.

So his sword could freeze and destroy the spores. He could see the Lamellae infected spewing spores and infecting the citizens while seekers and rankers tried to push them back. But they were relentless.
Great Rumbling Dragon!
He wrought the Mana from within, causing a dragon’s roaring maw to appear around his sword and arms. He swung his blade and let the dragon maw fly off his sword tip. It crashed into the infected and they burst asunder. The grave and cold iron undoing them.

He didn’t have time to stop, he danced through the battles. Stabbing and slashing, slicing, and striking. The infected began to dwindle in numbers and Jazmel’s relentless help allowed the seekers to push back.
Aeonic flame!
Paldane soared past spewing a torrent of flames down. The infected burned, they turned into cinder and ash. Jazmel wondered how much exp he gained for that. The seekers began to converge and Jazmel called to one.
“What happened?” he asked.
“There is a bigger one! The guild master fought with it but lost!! It poisoned everything with its spores and broke the gate down when people were trying to heal.” She explained, but then she left, chasing after a group, which were chasing down the remaining infected.
Paldane can you see the general? Paldane spiralled above the city for a few flybys.
Yes and its coming towards you! Paldane warned, Jazmel focused. Slowing his breathing and trying to replenish his stamina, but his body was good. His Mana was also more than 60% full. Then he heard the sounds of thumps, the sounds of thuds and heavy footsteps. But Jazmel was ready, he had a steady grip of his sword. Not too strong, nor too loose. It was enough that he was able to flex his wrists.
The thuds of heavy footsteps resounded and continued as they neared to his position. He had thought about moving, but the open space gave him enough of an advantage to move around. Also he needed full open air to not be overwhelmed by the toxic miasma.

TIER III LAMELLAE BLOATER IS HUNTING FOR YOU!
…
The footsteps brought a terrifying monster before him. it was the height of a troll, easily seven to eight foot in size. It was burly, thick arms and legs. Jazmel could see where the strength to break down a gate.
It was huge, it had no face. Mushrooms and spores had covered its body far more advanced than the other infected. It was moving its head around, slowly as if it were scanning the area. But Jazmel couldn’t work out what it was doing.
Jazmel stepped back, his foot scraping against a fallen sword. The creature snapped at him and roared, its mouth lopsided and too large for a human body. It pulled a growth from its hip and threw it at Jazmel. He dodged to the side, and it sailed past him, hitting the ground. It burst and spores dispersed, Jazmel leapt forward and skirted beneath a stray arm that went to grab for him.
Eviscerate!
He dodged beneath its clutch and coming around its back. He stabbed with his sword and scored flesh, but to his shock he had to bounce back and pivot further. Spores poured from the wound as blood seeped out.
It was as if the bloater was a giant spore pouch. This would be a terrifying fight.
Aeonic flame!
Jazmel watched as an unyielding torrent of flame burned them. Dragon flame always seemed to strike extreme damage. The Lamellae bloater shrieked, roaring in pain. Jazmel watched as it skin blackened from the flames. The spores had been burned up in the torrents of flames. Jazmel leapt forward, sprinting through the ruins of this part of the city.
Eviscerate!
Jazmel crashed his blade into the stomach of the bloater, it screamed. Crying out in pain, he dragged the blade up and back down, a zigzag in the stomach. It roared in pain again, reaching out to grab him. but Jazmel was moving far too swiftly. He pulled Daishinkan from his belt and in one fluid movement he pulled it free of its sheath. He stabbed it into the left knee and the bloater dropped beneath its own weight. He drew Yoru No Tsubasa from its stomach and stabbed down behind its right kneecap.
It still sizzled from the burning wounds that Paldane had left on its flesh. Jazmel withdrew both blades and with extreme force. He swung his blades across his body, cutting through the neck of the bloater. Its head, a sprouting mushroom was loped off and fell, black blood spurted from its neck, but it was dead, no spores were released either.

The system was telling him what he already knew, after all that fighting he hadn't even drank a potion. But tier III monsters and creatures were no longer life threatening. No, they were just difficult to fight for him now. This meant he was getting stronger.
