Book 4 Chapter Forty-Nine; Planning a Plan of Action

Jazmel burst into the chamber hall of the outpost and had called all his friends, captains of the outpost.

He sat on the bottom seat that led up to his seat and central node.

Tango, Sadé, Baek and Mary were to one side. Timone, Elai, and Wendy stood together. Gelth, Bannerman and Katie were standing to the side, they had come straight from training and scouting with their groups. The last to come were Patton and Gilmore.

“Sorry to pull you all away from what we do for the daily tasks here. I apologise for that, but I had to speak to you all, at one time.” He said and everyone grew silent with the seriousness.

“A friend of mine has sent me a request for help. I have met her a few times in the labyrinth now, she really helped me in the Xuanhuan realm. Now she is asking for my help, I want to lead a team, but I know I cannot just up and leave. Especially as the leader of this faction.” He uttered and everyone grew quiet.

“Where is she?” Mary asked and Jazmel shrugged.

“I do not know.”

“how do you know she needs help then?” Elai asked and before Jazmel spoke up, Baek interjected.

“She sent him a swan. A swan can be used to direct you to who sent it. it just costs a lot.” Baek explained and Jazmel wondered what to do.

“I think you should go for her; we should go.” Katie said and looking around she shrugged.

“We are the strongest party; we collaborate best with each other, and we all know how to work around one another.” She explained.

“The pack that has hunted together the longest, usually brings back the best.” Bannerman offered and Jazmel nodded at his words.

“Tera Nema? I met her in the pyramid of Argilles.” Sadé said and Jazmel listened to the others.

“So it is decided, the original party is going to go to your friend’s rescue. We will stay here and keep things running.” Mary said.

“I will accompany them.” Baek said but Jazmel raised his hand.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

“I cannot keep taking the two masters out of the outpost whenever I go out. I am sure you have your own things to do no?” Jazmel pointed out.

“Baek and Tango will stay here. I will go with the original party, Baek, Mary and Tango are in charge. Everyone do what they usually do, I will keep you all posted and updated. If anything happens, we will send word for all of you to come.” Jazmel stated and the others agreed. Humbly.

After that, the normal discussions of the outpost were brought up and Mary took initiative and took over discussing the needs of the faction and who would lead those different tasks while Jazmel and the others were away.

Melle entered, she had heard Jazmel was leaving and so she brought items. She replenished his potions; he hadn't refilled these since he had given them all out in the Braddon hills. Even when he was at the coronation he hadn't been carrying any. He had been foolish.

DING!

X10 TIER II GREATER MANA POTIONS

X10 TIER II GREATER HEALTH POTIONS

X10 TIER II GREATER STAMINA POTIONS

She gave all of them potions and then when she left, the others split off. Soon it was just Tango and Baek left.

“You sure you don’t want me to come?” Tango asked and Jazmel nodded, he had to rely on his and his friends strength alone.

“If you get into an emergency call us.” Tango said, he hugged Jazmel after that, then left. Following after Mary to support her, Tango didn’t have a title in the outpost, he was just a retainer. But Jazmel didn’t know what to offer him.

“We need to link the origami swan to your friend’s Mana.” He said and he placed his hand on top of the swan and then he beckoned for Jazmel to join him.

“This is going to cost you some Mana, it needs to stay running through every floor you enter. It will direct you towards where your friend it. It will disappear once it returns to her though. Bear that in mind.” He explained and then placing Jazmel’s hand over the swan, he felt a prick. Not a physical pain but something latched onto his Mana. Connecting and using it to funnel its activation. Baek watched them for a moment and then inclined his head, leaving them to it.

Jazmel stood facing his friends, Sadé, Katie, Patton, and Bannerman.

“Are you guys ok with this?” Jazmel said and they all agreed, Katie even hurried him along.

He led the way, he knocked his vambraces together and his armour formed around him. Everyone else had spent the last couple of months and their own rewards to upgrade their armour and weapons too. Everyone had a particular armour set now and was wearing it.

Gorin had made them beside Sadé’s, Jazmel was wearing his own. Sadé was wearing her Stormcaller set, it crackled with lightning and thunder. Bannerman was wearing the Fenrir set, but it had been enchanted and the vambraces had been imbued to do the same as Jazmel’s. Katie had, had armour made for her and she had used orichalcum ores, so her armour had a rose gold and rusted copper look to it. but it was lithe and flexible like her, like a chain. It was strong and seemed linked to her chains, so she could wield more chains and it helped her with her precision. Patton himself was wearing a light Paladin armour, the Mana paladin. It enhanced his Mana and allowed him to create denser things.

“Let’s go then.” Jazmel said, following the golden light of the origami swan as it flew through the gate out of the outpost.
