Two days had come since the Black Wing Faction had entered the gate of Braddon Hills. The faction had almost taken on all of the defending and rebuilding of the fort, while Lysander and his people recovered.
Rooms had been cleared out, bodies had been burned, friends and family alike. Monster cores and other items looted. Jazmel had told Lysander his people should focus on levelling up and anyone close to a tier tribulation should ask. Jazmel and his people would and could spare enough.
The morning of the first day, Bannerman and his troop; nicknamed the claw. Had returned and brought ailing news.
Jazmel had erected a tent, a gazebo that functioned as the command point for the fort. Himself, Mary, and Lysander seemed to be the ones who remained in there the most. Others came and went, but they deliberated the most.
Bannerman had brought word that they had found the base of the monsters. It was beyond the larger hills, in a gorge that had been dug out of a hill by the monsters. They had dug into the hill and then into the ground under it.
Bannerman had admitted that they had not gone close enough to see what they were excavating. But he and his troop had ended up finding that the monsters had allied themselves with one another. They outnumbered the faction greatly.
“Monsters only group up when they are being led by a greater force.” Mary pointed out and Jazmel agreed.
“The fort is the only place standing that we can defend for miles around.” Lysander pointed out and Jazmel could see he was already looking better after a good rest. He seemed to have tiered up also, but Jazmel hadn't asked what he was or had been. It felt rude when dealing with strangers.
The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
“How far is the gorge?” Jazmel asked.
“Seven days with all of us, maybe half that if we travel light and with an elite group?” Mary offered and Jazmel considered it.
“We are going but not for another two days, Lysander take the time to get you and your defenders back on their feet as soon as possible. Elai and Wendy will stay here at the fort and heal anyone who needs it. Lysander leave some men behind to hold the fort, you and your best will join us.” He explained and Lysander nodded, agreeing with all the confidence of someone happy to hand the reins over.
“Mary we are going to attack the gorge but in two ways. You and Gelth are going to lead the faction, the larger part of our force will join you. I can give you Patton and Gilmore to keep some leadership but let Lysander lead some too.”
“I will take Sadé, Katie and Bannerman into the gorge and see what they dug up. We meet in the middle and decimate their forces?” Jazmel offered, Mary and Lysander agreed with his tactics and taking a moment to consider it more, they went over the finer details.
“Well while we are preparing for war, I might as well use this.” Mary smiled, she pulled out her rallying flag and in her other hand appeared a tier up token. She placed it on the flag and Jazmel watched as Mana and system energy burst from the token and was drawn into the flag.
It changed; the length of its flagpole grew longer. The metal turning darker and harder but also more elegant. The flag was a beauty, it was velvet or felt and it also had turned into a cream white flag with the black wing of a dragon emblazoned in obsidian black. It was beautiful and even Lysander mention its elegance.
“Tier III rallying flag of the General.” Mary said with a grin and a smile of admiration.
“New buffs?” Jazmel questioned.
“New buffs.” She confirmed.
“Good, learn what it can do, we leave in two days.
