39-Lily's Mutated Hand

The middle-aged woman showed an excited smile on her face. Even though she expected such an answer, she was still happy that someone was willing to play with her child. So she replied to John joyfully “Wait a Minute.”

And then she called out, facing inside the house “Lily, come out.”

After she called, a figure walked out of the house wearing a coarse cloth that reached from shoulder to knee. The girl was also a mutated human, her mutation made her right hand poisonous. Animals she touched would suffer from vomit and headache. But nothing serious, and because of this most of the people avoid her.

Lily walked out of the house and looked at John with curiosity and fear. She was curious because she had not seen someone like John before. She fears him because of how he looks and at the same time, she thinks that he would also not play with her after knowing about her condition.

The middle-aged woman instructed John carefully “Don't touch Lily’s right hand, John. Her right hand was poisonous. If you touch her hand, you will get sick. Do you understand John?”

John was helpless at unnecessary questions but he still replied “I understand, Aunty.”

Then he said to Lily with a smile “Come on Lily, let's go.”

Lily looked at her mother timidly, her mother nodded at her. With her mother's encouragement, Lily followed John quietly while her mother looked at their backs with a relieved smile on her face. She was a little troubled by Lily’s circumstance, she would be happy as long as her child didn't feel bad about herself.

Meanwhile, John walked towards his home while looking at Lily when she wasn't paying attention. She has black hair, eyes, and a blacked right hand. If it was her previous life people would probably just look at her as a large birthmark that was not harmful to others.

But in this world, her right hand could cause harm to others if they are not careful. So, it's natural that they would not associate with her to avoid trouble.

This resulted in a circumstance that five-year-old Lily with no one to spend time with other than her parents. John shook his head, in a world where one year old was fully capable of running and talking. Lily was really pitiful to suffer from this kind of treatment.

John asked Lily curiously “What would you like to do in free time, Lily?”

Lily came back to her senses and replied to John “I would play with trees and flowers and sometimes. I would also help mother to clean the house.”

John nodded and asked about her personal life little by little. Since she's a little girl and doesn't have much experience, she tells everything John asks without much thought. While John got some idea who he was dealing with.

He found that Lily was a kind, shy, introverted, and quite intelligent girl. Both of them reached where the other children from their street were playing.

Under the unusually large fruit tree on the roadside the abandoned old mud house. A group of kids was shouting while looking at two children wrestling with each other inside the crooked circle drawn on mud by the kids.

Most of the kids had various degrees of muddy prints on their clothes and faces. They all have very exciting angry expressions on their faces as they encouraged passionately while looking at the wrestling child.

“Come on! Kevin beat the shit out of that freak.”

“Beat” “Beat” “Beat”

Hearing all of this a five-year-old fat kid with a patchy grey trouser looked at the black-scaled kid with a crimson vertical pupil on the opposite side with a cautious attitude. As he had already known about the twin freaks of Blackwood village before head.

He didn't lose his mind due to the encouragement of others. He didn't want to lose and he still had unknown hope that he could defeat Freak.

While the opponent was in a dilemma. Sam looked arrogant even though he was only half the size of the fat kid both vertically and horizontally. He sneered at the fat kid while saying “Are you coming or not?”

Even if he knew he couldn't defeat Sam, the fat kids childish pride was hurt by Sam's taunt. So he ran towards Sam as he gathered strength of his whole body on his shoulders and then he slammed into Sam with a tremendous force.

~Boom~

A loud sound echoed through the small area of the street as Sam held the fat man's hand with his single arm and said “Looks like you all loose and has to listen to me from onwards.”

“Hahaha”

Sam laughed arrogantly without caring about anyone. The fat kid and others can't stand this, so they all retorted his statement with anger on their faces.

“You freak the match isn't over yet”

“Without even winning you are getting cocky.”

Sam got angry and threw a punch at the fat kid's face. The speed and force were beyond the fat kids imagination, so before he could react he was knocked down with a sharp pain on his face.

Seeing the fat kids condition, all the kids became silent. Sam said loudly after knocking down the fat kid “You all will listen to me from now on. I order you all to stop calling me & my brother freaks, from now on. Otherwise, I'll beat you all again.”

After that he walked out of the crowd, seeing his actions John showed a smile and called out “Sam, come here.”

Sam's arrogant face bloomed with a smile as he heard John's voice. He ran toward John and said, “Brother I did…”

John cut him short and said, “Okay, let's talk as we walk.”

Sam became silent and followed John obediently. Lily on the side was also amazed at Sam's strength and imagined that she could order around anyone if she also had a strength like Sam.

John smiled as he led both of them towards the house. All of this was his plan to change the way kids talk about him and his brother. Even though he has a broad mind he's not Budhha and at the same time, he can't always be there for his brother's attention.

He also wanted to change the kid's perception of them. As long he doesn't do anything drastically most of the adults won't care about the children's actions.

Sam said excitedly after walking a distance away from the old abandoned mud house “Brother, I did as you told. Aren't I a good fighter?”

John complimented with a smile on his face “Yes! Sam, you're a good fighter.”

Lily was astonished that such a strong Sam listened to John wholeheartedly. So she asked Sam curiously “You are so strong. Why are you listening to your brother.”

Sam asked her “Who are you?”

John introduced her and said she would hang out with them from now on and informed him about her right hand.

After all of this, Sam replied to her inquiry “Because he's my brother and who said I am stronger than my brother. I have never defeated my brother in wrestling.”

Lily was shocked as she heard this and her eyes sparkled as she looked at John. John was helpless and he said calmly “OK that's enough. We reached home, mom will hear what you did if you continue to talk about what happened.”

Sams became cautious hearing about his mother and reminded Lily that she shouldn't talk to anyone about what happened and Lily responded positively.

John entered the house and shouted, “Mom, I'm back.”

Emma came out of the kitchen and asked while looking at Lily “Who's this.”

John replied “Oh! This is our new friend. She will play with us from now on.”

Emma nodded and said seriously “Okay you guys go play. Don't wander off the village.”

Three of them departed from there, Emma showed on her face that she was also happy that her child had a new friend. She also knows the famous poisonous Lily but doesn't care much. She knew that if someone had to be careful among the three of them it should be Lily because she knew both of her children could produce venom like snake.
