This resulted in changes in the various counterattacks they had planned, which were supposed to be slowly carried out as time went on. So with a determined expression, Kevin held onto the giant snake even after suffering numerous injuries all over his body, some of the veteran old soldiers also held onto the snake. All of them climbed upwards and got closer and closer to the snake's head with many of them using various methods to do so.

Kevin is the one who still held on to John without using any type of potion, but he also felt that his body was worsening with every passing moment and this chase may end with him being seriously injured. John looked at incoming daggers towards his eyes with a playful expression, he closed his eyes just before their daggers could reach his eyes.

Kevin, with an excited expression, slashed open the snake's eyelid amid its painful cries, he inserted the dagger into the snake's eyes, cut through the soft tissue of the snake's eyes, and opened a large wound in the vertical pupils of the snake, making it blind effectively.

With a painful hiss, John swung his head toward the nearby tree very violently and crashed into it, sending the people who were all hanging on his flying in the process. All the soldiers flew away from his body, leaving only Major Kevin who was still hanging onto his body with immense determination and excitement at the thought of wounding the giant snake which relieved his pressure and made the giant snake look like a normal animal in his perception.

John also sensed the presence of Kevin on his body with his heat sense. But he couldn't do much with his one eye blinded, with Kevin hanging onto him, even after his numerous attempts to throw him off.

Since there was nothing he could do with Major Kevin, John slithered towards the nearby path to the water source that was far away from the eel habitat. As he did not know accurately where the eel's habitat was located. He moved by assuming it according to his common sense. Meanwhile, Kevin hung onto John's body with much difficulty as he got several more injuries on his body, and lost his blood and strength with every passing moment, even though his injuries stopped bleeding in a few minutes.

However, the rate of injuries occurring increased after the snake became crazy and took a most treacherous path in the forest toward an unknown location.

John felt that he lost eyesight in his left eye completely and he didn't know if it was temporary or permanent. But this did not stop him from feeling rage at the High Humans who put him in this situation. He was also not interested in fighting with the High Humans as he couldn't read their memories and they were capable of injuring him fatally. Just as John was nearing the nearby river area.

An eagle was flying very high in the sky above John, out of his sensing range without making any sound stealthily.

John moved with blood oozing out his one eye, John opened his uninjured eye with difficulty as the injured eye also responded subconsciously causing a nerve-wracking pain that made him paralyzed for a moment.

Sensing the snake's sudden stillness, Kevin didn't waste time as he jumped towards the other eye of the snake while swinging the dagger.

John suddenly opened his eyes and spat out a liquid poison at Kevin in the air making it impossible to avoid his attack even by using the rope. Kevin pressed a hidden button in the arms which activated a mechanism, and small openings in his head armor which was used to help him sense the surroundings suddenly closed and protected Kevin’s head completely. John's liquid poison splashed on Kevin's body and made the new armor go through drastic changes upon contact successfully protecting Kevin from serious injuries.

Kevin fell to the ground with the rope he used to hang on getting burned by the John liquid poisonous attack.

Seeing struggling Kevin on the ground, John lunged at him at lightning-fast speed without wasting a moment. At that precise moment, a valiant figure riding the eagle let go of the arrow that the figure was holding for a long time with its eyes closed. The next moment, the arrow pierced through the air at a speed that John couldn't respond to and reached his uninjured eyes. John could only helplessly witness his other eye getting injured without being able to respond.

The valiant figure on the eagle is Major Kylie. Both the bow and arrow in Major Kylie’s hand and the dagger in Major Kevin’s hand are the properties of the Kingdom of Vika which were given to every major of the High Humans.

John crashed into Kevin with his head, sending Kevin a long distance after suffering numerous injuries from the rocks and trees on his way. John stood up and hissed at the sky without knowing where to look, as he was completely blind now and his heat sense couldn't sense for such a long distance like his eyes. Suddenly, he felt a change in the atmosphere and evaded another arrow that was aimed at his head. John became vigilant as he dodged this arrow with much difficulty and didn't think he could avoid it every time.
