Even though John missed his target, he didn't stop his attack as he twisted his body mid-air and swung his body unceremoniously at as many eagles as possible and injured most of the eagles and soldiers. The soldiers and eagles dropped down from the sky and fell into the land like insignificant flies and mosquitos.

Most of the eagles died, with some of the fallen soldiers suffering serious injuries. Major Kevin and Kylie looked at this scene with red eyes, Kevin specifically looked at the injured soldiers after confirming no casualty he heaved a sigh of relief. Meanwhile, Kylie looked heartbroken with seventy percent of the eagles dying in this conflict which meant the end of her squad.

As every eagle was bonded with every soldier from an early age, due to this long process and huge loss, there would be no fierce eagle squad for the next ten years. So Kylie looked at the huge snake with intense hatred and deep helplessness, as she couldn't do anything to John even with all of this uncontrollable hatred towards him. Kevin tapped on her shoulder to calm her down as they couldn't afford a mental breakdown of a Major of the troop in the middle of the battle.

As they were speaking, John fell to the ground from the sky and made deep impressions of his body shape on the land and made the soldiers unsteady with some of them falling on their toes due to the sudden movement of the land. John shook off the dust and stood up while looking threateningly at the crowd of soldiers.

Soldiers who were all injured were picked up by the remaining flying eagles and departed a long distance from there. Left with no other option other than initiating an attack on the giant snake in close range with the destruction of the eagles. Kevin announced an order “Attack the giant snake and try to avoid getting smashed by the corrosive liquid and use the suitable potions according to the situation. We could not leave without the death of a giant snake. So fight like it's your last fight.”

All the soldiers ran toward the giant snake with shields in one hand and swords in another hand.

John looked at the incoming soldiers and released a barrage of poisonous liquid continuously and tried to not waste these attacks by focusing on killing these soldiers. He also tried to attack Major Kevin and Kylie but both of them tactically hid behind the soldiers and organized the attack skillfully and tried to reduce the soldier's casualty. Even so, the soldiers died one by one, seeing the desperate situation Major Kylie formulated a plan by cooperating with Major Kevin and left there stealthily.

John looked at the soldiers who were all like ants, clung onto him and poked here and there on his body making holes in his impenetrable scales.

For the first time in his life, John hated this group of people who he couldn't attack or kill when they clung onto the parts of his body and jumped around. Just as John was consumed by hatred, a soldier slipped from his head and fell straight in front of him. With a malicious expression, John forgot about his previous identity as a human and bit the soldier and grinded him into minced meat in front of all the soldiers showcasing a chilling sight that the High Humans never imagined or expected in their life.

This action caused the morale of the soldiers to plummet and their attacking speed diminished with a fear of brutal death every second under the cruel giant snake.

Seeing the current scenario and considering the plan they formulated, Kevin took an action that he deemed to be effective in this scenario and he also intended to reduce any more casualties. Kevin put down everything unnecessary for the battle, took a large sickle in one hand, and covered his body in silver color armor that protected every part of his body leaving only his eyes, ears, and nose exposed to the surroundings.

Then Kevin bent his legs, accumulated as much power as possible on his legs, and let go. He jumped up to twenty meters in the air towards the giant snake, after reaching the giant snake’s body, he swung a large sickle at the snake's body and inserted it successfully to hold on to the snake's body. Kevin then looked at the sickle that was deeply inserted into the snake's body but still couldn't touch the inner body of the snake to cause any damage, with a disappointed look.

So he began to climb on the snake with an intent to go toward its head with a sickle making a way for him.

He also rescued the soldiers who were falling from the snake as much as possible. But every moment one or two soldiers fall from the snake with the snake rotating and twisting its body and trying to throw away the bugs that are disturbing it very much. Even Kevin was thrown so many times that he needed to concentrate every second very minutely to not be injured unnecessarily.

John looked at the people who were all clinging onto him for their dear life and also for his dear life with an annoyed expression. Even after he killed dozens of High Humans and showcased his brutality, these people still clung to him with a weird desperate expression.

They also became much more experienced in the way of hanging onto him multiple times and getting thrown away. They became an expert in avoiding his liquid poison attack by poking inside his nose whenever he opened his mouth. Slowly with every moment passing, John was getting impatient and angry with his current circumstances.

So he killed anyone who got in his mouth very violently and cruelly while showcasing contempt to the soldiers blatantly.

This only resulted in the soldiers becoming more cautious and experienced in how to deal with him. As they all could already see, they were no match against the giant snake which could kill them if they were caught careless even for a moment. They all chose to tire out the snake's stamina and kill it when it had no strength left in its body.

Kevin looked at the soldiers who were all going out of their character and usual capacity to survive and kill the giant snake for the glory and desire to survive. Seeing this, Kevin showed a determination on his face for an unknown cause, as he climbed up the snake leaving cracks in the snake scale here and there making the snake scale look old and fragile.

This was only possible due to the weapons forged by the High Humans which could even cut the metal if forged well. The sharp and strong weapons were all one of the specialties of the High Humans. The large sickle weapon in Kevin’s hand was also made from the remaining materials of the legendary sword.

John also found cracks in his scale and looked at Kevin who was climbing on him with a furious expression. John decided it was enough to fight with this group of people in one place and let them have an advantage over him. He also sobered up from his rage and thought about how to escape from here and heal the minor injuries he gained all over his body from the hands of the group of High Humans with various weapons.

John also found surprisingly the weapons of this group of people unusually sharp and strong enough to wound him, unlike the weapons of the normal humans from the border defense army. After he found that High Humans have unusual weapons, which means there was still a possibility of them having another unusual thing that could threaten his life.

Since he didn't want to die unjustly and unexpectedly due to his moment of rage and pride. John slithered away from there while twisting his body chaotically to throw off the High Humans who were all sticking to his body.

The soldiers all flew off the snake's body with some of them becoming seriously injured due to getting thrown into long distances and crashing into stones and trees. Kevin looked at what was unfolding before him with an unbelievable expression, as he didn't expect the snake which was killing soldiers one by one every few minutes would run away from the battlefield.

Even though that was the right decision, he didn't expect the snake would make such a decision with its animalistic nature. He had never seen or considered the possibility of a snake having such a high thought process and complex emotions from its actions from the moment they started their attack on it.

Kevin didn't consider that possibility, because even though some animals show intimate behaviors and basic memory abilities. There was never an animal that controlled its anger and left the scene considering a possible failure outcome.
