Vol. 2 Second Encore: Chapter 116: The Informants' Advent

An eternal arid breeze clawed over the expansive sea of sand, which gradually shifted between red and orange. Waves of sand gushed across the sea, of sand, smashing into the occasional large bone spikes protruding from the sand and the massive pillars of dark red sandstone.

Lola (curled up in her tails) rolled out from the hanger door of the flying airship carrier and sped across the runway; she bounced off the ground, unravelling her tails from her body before landing on the ground and giddily danced in her new clothes: a lime Candy Cats themed t-shirt, green and white leggings, white Candy Cats themed sleeveless hoodie, and green getas.

"I can't believe sister Nola was able to make new clothes for everyone in just three days," Lola cheered as Destiny, Kara, Prima, Yumi, and Sapphire approached her while wearing new clothes.

(Destiny: oversized white tank top, grey skirt with lavender-coloured moth pattern, white knee-high socks, grey crocks.).

(Kara: lavender-coloured sunglasses)

(Prima: a pink bear onesie covered in red paw prints)

(Yumi: dark pink cat paw gloves, dark pink cat paw boots, and a dark pink flower headband with cat ears)

(Sapphire: a green waterproof cloak with blue ink splat-shaped dots, blue Wellington boots, and a large green sun hat with blue ink splat-shaped dots)

"Indeed, the child bound with fate is indeed an amazing tailor," Kara said as she slightly pushed up her sunglasses. The group nodded their heads in unison at Kara's statement, but they seized their nodding as Yokuza caught up to the group, causing Sapphire to gaze at him.

"Speaking of that, why didn't you want any new clothes, brother?" Sapphire asked as she climbed up Yokuza's wings.

"The style of clothing she makes... isn't really to my taste.". Lola tilted her head and made a loud, confused huh noise at Yokuza.

"But...". Lola stopped herself and pressed her fingers against the sides of her head.

"But I overheard you saying you thought Papa's clothes looked cool!" Lola said as she projected her voice into Yokuza's brain. Lola strained her arms as they wobbled like jello; sweat ran down her face before she eventually relented and allowed her arms to slump to her sides.

"Why did you feel the need to say that telepathically?" Yokuza asked as Sapphire popped her head from behind Yokuza before she hopped onto his shoulders. Lola looked away and frowned while muttering under her breath.

"Mother of Lola would be furious if she heard you say that," Kusana said as she floated by Lola while she carried a sleeping Snow on her back. Lola slumped her head and meekly exhaled, but she glanced to her side as she felt Scarlett fluffing her tails.

"Say, Lola do you think your dad will teach everyone about those three energy things today?" Scarlett asked as she continued to fluff Lola's tails. Lola considered Scarlett's question before the group glanced in the same direction to see Zalroth and Chronia sleeping under a parasol on a fake beach coast. The group stared at the sleeping couple as Chronia cuddled up to Zalroth's face and pressed her cheek against Zalroth's before the group looked at Lola.

"I don't think so...," Lola murmured defeatedly. Lola sulked to herself at how only Chronia or Sophia were capable of waking Zalroth up, but neither of the two were available. The group sighed in unison before Xero landed close by with a loud clang as his feet slammed into the floor.

"Oh, Mr Xero," Yumi uttered.

"So, he's finally back-" Prima said, but stopped as she noticed the small girl with puppet-like joints standing on Xero's head: the girl had slightly translucent pale white skin with faint traces of golden-coloured fingertips, short spikey black hair with a purple and golden-coloured glitchy effect, glowing magenta eyes with purple glitchy effect, ten glowing rings on each of her forearms and calves which cycle through every single colour, and she wearing glitchy frilly magenta mini dress with a glowing ring with a pattern of increasingly smaller rings inside it that cycle through every single colour.

Prima slowly lent towards Lola whilst she continued to stare at the girl.

"Do you recognise her?" Prima asked, causing Lola to lean towards her.

"No...," Lola whispered back. The girl scanned the area before she hopped off Xero and landed on the floor with a metalic ding. She made a beeline for Zalroth and Chronia and stopped next to the side of Zalroth opposite Chronia. The girl glared at Zalroth with a vengeance, and she took a step back before dropping to her knees and slamming her arms against the sandy ground.

"Error... unit wants to obtain contract payment, but unit doesn't want to disturb them," the girl murmured while continually whispering error as they buried their face in the sand. The girl rolled around in the sand and kicked sand around as Zalina(kitsune cub form) popped her head out from Zalroth's tails.

"Oh... Deva, do you need something?" Zalina asked. Deva came to a stop, lying flat on the sandy floor and stared up at Zalina.

"Contract agreement.".

"Oh...," Zalina uttered before glancing at Zalroth. Zalina raised a paw before slamming it into Zalroth's face, blasting sand in every direction as the paw pushed Zalroth's head deep into the sand. Zalina raised her paw from the hole, and after a few seconds, a small jet of sand geysered out from the hole before Zalroth pulled his head out from the hole.

"What is it, Zalina?". Zalina pointed her paw at Deva. Zalroth yawned as he snapped his fingers, and all the sand and parasol popped into green qi. Zalroth stood up and placed the still-sleeping Chronia on his tails as Deva swung up to a standing position.

"Alright, Deva, what do you want?" Zalroth asked as he rubbed his face.

"Contract agreement.".

"Right...,". Zalroth reached into his tails and pulled out an anime figure of an Egyptian-style medieval knight. Deva's eyes lit up, and she created a colour-shifting ne-lon energy cube around the anime figure; the energy cube glowed before it, and the anime figure disappeared.

"Payment received; dispensing intel," Deva uttered before she made beeping noises.

"You're not about to print it out your mouth are you?" Zalroth asked, causing Deva to seize her beeping.

"No...," Deva uttered under her breath. Deva repeatedly clapped her hands together and reframed from stopping until the approaching medieval-themed ufo drone carrying a piece of paper stopped next to Deva. Deva took the paper from the drone and started to write on the paper using a pen made of colour shifting ne-lon pen as the drone disappeared into her hair. Deva finished scribbling on the paper and handed it to Zalroth to read.

"Wow... what are the odds we'd be so close to the location," Zalroth remarked as he handed Zalina the paper before she dived into Zalroth's tails.

"It's almost like this unit waited until it knew you'd be heading in the location's direction before it attempted to rendezvous with you," Deva said as she popped her arm off and shook some sand out from its joints before she reattached it. Zalroth raised a hand and lightly itched his face.

"Does that mean you were in Talkia?"Zalroth asked, causing Deva to shake her head.

"Negative.".

"That's good to hea-".

"I was investigating the Ne-Lon Architecte Siphoner Construct until you destroyed it.".

"Oh...," Zalroth uttered as Deva climbed onto Zalroth's shoulders and sat on them. Zalroth rubbed his forehead but lowered his hand as a collection of footsteps nearby. Zalroth gazed in front of him to see Lola standing before him while the others were heading to the flying airship carrier's hangar door.

"Guess it's time for me to start my sudo-teaching career?". Lola adamantly nodded before she grabbed Zalroth's hand and led him towards the hangar door.

Meanwhile, inside Zalroth's tail pocket dimension, Zalina landed on a fluffy terrain and transformed into her humanoid form before she checked Deva's note.

"Ok, so I need to find the emerald, the fork, and...". Zalina squinted at the note before letting out a conflicted sigh and thinking how much of a pain the last item will be to deal with.

"But it's so icky... maybe Zallino will get it for me if I ask," Zalina muttered as she curled her tails into a ball around herself before she rolled off.
