The flying Zelkio airship carrier parked in the airship dock on a small floating island above a large lake as Callie and Echo were looking down at the Japanese-looking city below.
"The royal estate of Sovereign Raiden sure has changed a lot," Callie remarked as she, Echo, Tokubaiyashi, Xero, a Zelkio Knight Captain and a platoon of Zelkio Knights disembark from the carrier.
"Well, let's just say after Lord Raiden's death, although it hasn't been publically announced, the Shogunate Commission deemed it necessary to increase the estate's security to ensure the safety of the fluffball," Tokubaiyashi nonchalantly remarked before he awkwardly facepalmed when her realised what he had just said. He slowly glanced behind him and sighed when he saw the shocked faces of the group.
"Wait he's dead?!" Echo tried to shout but was muffled by Tokubaiyashi frantically flapping his dragon wings and making loud shushing noises.
"Keep it down the attendees are still mourning him; look a week ago, the estate was attacked by a Heathen, and Lord Raiden... died protecting Kara..." Tokubaiyashi muttered while sombrely glaring at his feet and tightly balling up his fists.
"Toku...baiyashi?" Callie asked with a worried tone. Tokubaiyashi quickly swung his head back up and gave a grin.
"Don't worry about me but we should probably hurry," Tokubaiyashi remarked as he continued to walk.
"How come?" Echo asked.
"Well, if we don't hurry then the fluffball isn't going to want to go with you," Tokubaiyashi stated, making the magistrates ask why; Tokubaiyashi explained that Kara's an avid fan of the Maxicannion Tournament and if it starts Kara's going to be adamant about remaining at the mansion until the tournament live stream is over.
"Well we do have TVs on the air carrier," Callie mentioned.
"Are they wide screens?" Tokubaiyashi asked.
"I mean most of them are normal sized but there is a movie theatre on the air carrier, now that I think about it," Callie remarked. Tokubaiyashi was a little surprised to hear that the air carrier had a movie theatre but amusedly sighed.
"If that's the case then we probably won't have to worry then," Tokubaiyashi remarked as the group arrived at a long line of stone stairs that lead to the Japanese shrine-themed mansion.
"My old enemy... stairs," Callie remarked.
A few minutes later, Callie was frantically and heavily breathing as she was carried by Xero through the halls of the Raiden mansion.
"Geez mama, you really need to take papa Zuzu's cardio recommendation more seriously," Green Hika(A Hika with green eyes, a plain green short dress and silver hair with green ends) remarked as she formed from green cubes and sat on Callie's forehead.
"But it's so tiring," Callie complained as she was creating snowflakes, with magic, that fell onto her face. Tokubaiyashi chuckled as Callie continued to complain about being tired.
"Looks like Kara isn't the only one who doesn't like doing tiring activities," Tokubaiyashi remarked as the group arrived at a set of large doors that were being guarded by two motionless knight golems(one made of shadow mana and the other made of light mana).
"Alright we're here..." Tokubaiyashi said before turning to the group and noticing Callie was now standing on her own two feet without so much as a drop of sweat on her face.
"I'm ready," Callie stated as she gave an exhausted huff. Callie quickly told the knights to wait in the corridor and asked Xero to go buy some sweets from a candy store as she handed him some Shin coins(coins with a large S on it with a dragon head and hydra head on the ends of the S) before she and Echo followed Tokubaiyashi through the doors.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
Xero, with Green Hika appearing on his shoulder, glanced down at the Shin coins(one with an orange ring, a few with red rings and some without rings) and pointed at them as he counted them. He finished counting the Shin coins before giving the Zelkio knights a salute, with them giving him a salute back. The knights and their captain watched Xero walk off before hopping out of a window and flying away as Green Hika was waving goodbye to the knights.
"Sooo... who do you thinks going to win the game next Validay?" one of the Zelkio knights asked.
"I think the Phinoxis have a good shot of winning," the light mana golem answered; however, the suddenness of the golem talking spooked the knights and even caused one of them to pass out.
A young girl(with fuzzy pale lavender fur that covered her entire body, ankle-long pale lavender hair, long fuzzy black insect antennas and four large twenty feet long fuzzy lavender moth wings) could be seen sleeping on a throne, like a cat, that was surrounded by mountains of stuffed animals and various sweet rappers.
"Wake up sleepy head you've got visitors," Tokubaiyashi remarked from the bottom of the stairs that lead up to the throne. The girl angerly grumbled as she sat up before stretching her arms, legs, wings and antennas.
The girl opened her deep lavender-coloured compound eyes(like on moths and other insects) and glanced down at the group as she straightened out her shrine maiden outfit.
"Behold the fluffball that is the Oracle Shogun Kara Raiden and the 34th reincarnation of the God of Knowledge and Truth Nolazirkulus Truth," Tokubaiyashi jokingly remarked as he gave a bow before walking behind Callie and Echo. Kara rubbed her face as she tried to get rid of the blushes that had appeared on her face from the introduction, which she deemed embarrassing, Tokubaiyashi did for her.
"Tokui... the world... requires a sacrifice," Kara requested with the sweetest girly voice Callie and Echo had ever heard, but they were also a little concerned at what Kara had just said.
"Yeah-yeah, I'll go get you some more food," Tokubaiyashi said as he turned to leave.
"Good luck with your... cross-country negotiations, gals," Tokubaiyashi added as he left the throne room. Callie and Echo looked at each other before looking back at the throne and noticing that Kara was gone.
"What brings the ueka helmkas of the empire to my iradesenopia?" Kara said with a serious yet still sweet-sounding tone. Callie and Echo blankly stared at Kara before Echo slowly leaned towards Callie.
"What did she say?" Echo whispered, which made Callie sigh and ask Echo if she even read the guide, with Echo stating she didn't.
"She said; what brings the unrivalled soldiers of the empire to my place of residence," Callie stated.
"Oh..." Echo said while awkwardly itching her cheek. Callie turned back towards Kara who was in the middle of taking her shrine maiden uniform off.
"To answer your question, Emperor King Providence Luminous ordered us to come collect you... but why are you taking your... clothes off?" Callie said as wondered if she should cover her eyes since Kara's entire body was covered in fuzzy pale lavender fur.
"Oh yeah, father was going to mention that to me today if he hadn't died; also wearing clothes is uncomfortable when your body has fur," Kara nonchalantly mentioned as she tossed the shrine maiden outfit onto a stuffed toy cat.
Echo was confused by Kara's words and was about to ask something but decided against it.
"I assume that's got to do with your god powers right?" Echo remarked with a mentally exhausted tone.
"Ika, my inherited ability from being the current reincarnation of Nolazirkulus Truth bestows me with two divine abilities; the Eye Above All, which allows me to see through any illusion and a built-in lie detector, along with the Alternate Knowledge ability, which allows me to gain knowledge from alternate timeline versions of myself and also knowledge from my previous incarnations, but only from the ones that existed in this timeline," Kara explained. Callie confidently nodded her head at Kara's explanation while Echo slowly nodded her head with a lost expression.
"Right... well given your attitude I guess that means you're willing to go?" Echo asked. Kara nodded her head adamantly as she started to fly a few centimetres from the ground.
"Indeed, in many of the possible conversations we could have had, between you entering this room and you leaving, you mentioned the large cinema on your airship in three hundred and sixty-four of them," Kara stated. Echo glanced at the heavily thinking Callie before glancing back at an annoyed Kara.
"And in twelve of them, you outwardly remark: I can't believe this kid is probably smarter than me," Kara said with a ticked-off tone, which made Echo nervously chuckle as Kara glared at her.
"Lamiku," Kara stroppily stated before flying to the entrance of the throne room when Tokubaiyashi returned with a stack of sandwiches.
"Even if I have no clue what she said I assume it was an insult," Echo defeatedly remarked as she rubbed the back of her head.
"She called you eternally stupid, basically a super baka," Callie stated before she and a disheartened Echo walked over to Kara and Tokubaiyashi.
"I wonder how many of those timelines she doesn't call me that," Echo sadly joked with Kara shouting five as she nibbled on her sandwiches.
