Chapter 51: Meet Up At The Adventurer's Guild

"We're here," Kiki proclaimed as Zalroth stopped in front of the Talkia adventurer's guild branch building while Iris was sleeping on his head. Kiki glanced into the building before excitedly pointing into it.

"I see mommy," Kiki said as she excitedly waved her arm around while pleading for Zalroth to hurry. Lola and the others started to join in on Kiki's pleading as Zalroth seemed to idly stare at the adventurer' guild sign.

"Papa, come on, what are you waiting around for-?" Lola asked as she looked at Zalroth's face and realised he had fallen asleep. Lola frowned in annoyance before slapping Zalroth in the face and when that didn't work she bit one of his ears. Eventually, Zalroth opened one of his eyes and yawned as Lola continued to nibble on his ears.

"Must have dosed off there," Zalroth remarked before heading through the saloon door.

Moments earlier, at one of the front desks of the giant adventurer's guild reception area; groups of adventurers could be heard talking amongst themselves while discussing what quests they should do from the many quest boards.

"Are you sure they haven't found any information on where Kiki is?" Kiki's mother(who looked similar to Kiki aside from her hair and eyes being purple instead of dark purple) asked with a worried tone. The pale-skinned female demon(signified by the purple horns on her head and her thin purple tail with a spade-shaped end) receptionist straightened the stack of files in her hands by tapping them on the counter.

"I understand you're worried, Kifia, but until we get the go-ahead from the guild master we can't send any adventurers into the mountainy area," the receptionist explained as she scratched her short spiky black hair and opened her extremely dark green eyes.

"But Surfinia," Kifia meekly mumbled. Surfinia sombrely sighed as she placed a hand on Kifia's shoulder.

"Look, Kifia, you said before that the guy had angorthite all over his body, so there's a high chance he'll turn into a heathian; so, we can't risk sending any adventurers until we get the guild master's approval," Surfinia explained as she consoled Kifia. Kifia attempted to say something before the door behind Surfinia opened and an eighty-five-centimetre tall seraph, who had the appearance of a small girl, walked through.

The seraph had glowing super pale lime and teal hair with faint blue clock hands coloured spots all over(that don't glow), pale lime and teal eyes(with the pupil of her right eye being in the shape of analogue clock hands and the left being in the shape of a ten pointed star), translucent light tanned skin with tan lines seen from under her loose-fitting teal tank top. The seraph pulled up her super baggy white trousers as she climbed onto the front desk and still had to look up to see Surfinia's face.

"S-supreme Guild Master C-Chronia, I-I didn't know you arrived so soon?" Surfinia nervously stuttered as Chronia readjusted her white fur boots and the golden monocle, with a teal lense, over her right eye.

"Well, I wasn't going to but, I got bored and did some peeking into the future and had to hurry here," Chronia nonchalantly explained as she took her lollipop out of her mouth. Surfinia and Kifia both looked mortified which made Chronia nervously tilt her head.

"Does that mean the guy who took Kifia's daughter will turn into a heathian?!" Surfinia worriedly asked as Kifia started to sweat.

"The what?" Chronia replied confusedly before putting her lollipop back in her mouth. Surfinia quickly explained the situation to Chronia.

"I see, well that isn't the reason I came here but I'm pretty sure the kitsune I saw in my future vision had a kid with him who looks like her; so if that kid zombie girl in my vision was her girl then you won't have to worry about the silhouette," Chronia explained while pointing at Kifia.

"R-really, do you know where he's is right now, or should I say going to be?" Kifia asked with a relieved expression.

"Well... he should be showing up right... about.... now,". The moment Chronia said now the entrance to the reception area opened before Zalroth walked in. Zalroth looked around the reception room as Kifia turned around.

"How retro, it looks just like it did a hundred years ago, say for a few things," Zalroth commented as the girls all looked around.

"Mommy!" Kiki shouted before jumping off Zalroth's tails; she rushed over to her mother and hugged her with her mother embracing her back; watching the two embrace made Zalroth smirk, although his smirk lessened as Lola continued to bite his ear.

"Well well, aren't you a sight for sore eyes, who would've thought I'd run into you here?" Chronia remarked as she sat on the counter with a smug expression across her face. The smugness exuding from Chronia made Zalroth roll his eyes as he pulled Lola away from his head and place her inbetween Snow and Scarlett.

"I'd appreciate it if you'd stop pretending you didn't know I was going to be here," Zalroth mentioned as he walked over to the counter and flicked Chronia on the forehead, causing her black clock hand shaped ahoge to wobble around. Chronia rubbed her forehead as she took her lollipop out of her mouth and pointed it at Zalroth.

"Oh, come on is that any way to treat your f-" Chronia managed to say before Lola lept over Zalroth's head, tackled hugged Chronia off the counter and onto the carpeted floor behind the counter. Lola happily nuzzled her cheek against Chronia's face before Chronia started to laugh as Lola began to lick her face.

"Ok-ok, I missed you too, Fluffkins," Chronia said between her fits of laughter.

"Lola's being awfully affectionate towards that kid," Scarlett said as she and Snow watched Lola continue to lick Chronia's face.

"Well it'd be pretty unfortunate if Lola didn't like her own mother," Zalroth explained, Scarlett and Snow nodded their heads as Scarlett pulled the picnic basket out from Zalroth's tails and handed it down to Kiki. Iris suddenly awoke and sat up with a groggy look on her face.

"Wait..." Iris slowly mumbled but scratched her head when she forgot what she was about to say; Iris yawned before laying on her stomach and going back to sleep.

"Heh, it seems you're becoming a walking sanctuary again or do you plan to hide your tails again, Zalroth?" Chronia jokingly asked as she stood up with Lola sitting on her head like a cat.

"Umm, supreme guild master?" Surfinia asked as she attempted to get Chronia's attention. Chronia and Lola glanced up at Surfinia.

"Yeah?".

"What should I do about the reward for the retrieval of Kiki quest, since it hasn't been approved yet?" Surfinia asked nervously. While Chronia and Surfinia were discussing what to do, Kifia, while struggling not to cry, bowed to Zalroth.

"Thank you so much sir for saving Kiki, I don't how I could ever repay you," Surfinia stated while bowing even harder with Zalroth telling her she didn't need to be so formal.

"Don't worry about it, I couldn't possibly take money from a mother who was worried about their child," Zalroth pleaded while waving his hands. Zalroth's plea made Chronia smirk before looking back at Surfinia.

"You heard him he doesn't want a reward; so when your guild master returns from whatever endeavour he's dealing, with just tell him that a strong adventurer dealt with it and that the heathian has been dealt with," Chronia smugly said which made Zalroth embarrassingly rub the back of his head.

"Yeah about that... the silhouette sort of got away," Zalroth awkwardly remarked. Surfinia and Kifia weren't sure what Zalroth was referring to but the others were surprised by the reveal.

"Wow hubby, that's gotta be a first," Chronia snarked as she slowly clapped with Lola disappointedly staring at Zalroth. Zalroth sighed and quickly explained the events that took place in the Magic Dungeon: Instance.

"Oh, well Lola's just happy you didn't lose the fight but how could that guy use such a cheap tactic," Lola complained.

"Careful Lola your starting to catch Kusana's speech pattern," Chronia joked as Kusana popped her head out from Zalroth's tails before quickly disappearing back into them again.

"Speaking of Kusana, how's Minia and Nola doing?" Chronia asked.

"Minia's the same as ever but Nola seems to be going through a weird phase of thinking I'm her brother which I decided to go along with since..." Zalroth said as he noticed Chronia was angrily crossing her arms.

"Care to explain?" Chronia asked with an obviously rhetorical tone making Zalroth defeatedly sigh before he retold the events of the dungeon raid that caused Nola to believe Zalroth was her brother.

Less than a week before Zalroth and Sophia raided the auction in Kalthorm for Marok's staff, Zalroth(without his tails or ears out) walked down a long hall with finely polished and detailed stone brick walls while the sleeping Lola and Minia were clinging to his back.

"Say sensei, are you sure it's a good idea to make a detour, the auction's in four days?" Sophia asked as Nola and Kusana floated up next to her.

"Are you doubting my dad?" Nola asked as she crossed her arms.

"Doubting the grandfather of Kusana would be in poor taste..." Kusana added as she held a book titled How To Talk Like A Villian By Godly Road roller Lover. Zalroth spun around and continued to walk ahead of the group.

"Don't worry about it, Sophia, this won't take more than an hour and if it does I'll give you that transforming bow you've been pleading for since I accidentally took it out of my tails' pocket dimension," Zalroth remarked as the group came to a set of doors.

"You better be serious about that," Sophia demanded as she created two light mana spears. Zalroth chuckled as he placed his hand in the centre of the doors.

"Of course I am, I'm always serious ten percent of the time," Zalroth remarked before using his sonokinesis to vibrate the double doors atoms until they crumbled into a pile of dust, that Zalroth then blasted away with an air blast.

"That... doesn't make, like, any sense," Sophia commented as the group walked through the now empty door frame.
