Roughly an hour ago, Prima, with a blanket over her body, rubbed her wrists against her eyes. She opened one of her eyes and was greeted by one of Scarlett's eyes, which was a few inches away from hers. Scarlett pulled her face away from Prima's face and waved at Lola as she pulled, a tired-looking, Zalroth over.
"Lola, she just woke up.". Lola let go of Zalroth's and ran over on all fours before sitting next to Prima. Lola quickly placed her hand on Prima's forehead, while closing her eyes. Prima looked up at Lola's hand and raised an eyebrow.
"What are you doing?" Prima asked as she sat up after Lola took her hand off of her forehead.
"Sorry, I was checking if you had a fever," Lola explained.
"Oh! That makes sense.". Prima rubbed the back of her head while laughing. Prima slowly stopped laughing as she noticed the injured Zalroth looking around.
"You look, terrible mister," Prima remarked while looking at Zalroth's injuries, especially his lacerated arm. Zalroth looked down at Prima and tilted his head, making Prima do the same.
"Well, I'm not doing myself any favours will all the fighting I've been doing recently, although you're a little roughed up yourself kid," Zalroth replied while grinning. Prima grinned back at Zalroth after checking her body, noticing all the bruises and light scratches all over her body.
"Y-yeah I guess... waait?". Prima sporadically looked all over her body while questioning how they got there.
"Oh-oh, I can tell you.". Prima looked over at Lola, who had her hand raised in the air. Lola explained to Prima that she had probably been possessed by the Angorthite that was stuck to her axe.
"Huh, Angort... oh you mean those funny purple crystals. Now that I think about it, I remember trying to bat away a large purple crystal that fell from a cliff, but it suddenly attached itself to my axe, and... then I woke up here.". Zalroth nodded his head as he listened to Prima.
"Yeah, that sound about right. Heh, you're pretty lucky.". Prima tilted her head with a confused expression.
"How come?".
"If the crystal had touched your body, it would've been a lot more difficult to help you.". Prima tried to ask Zalroth why that was the case but he told her it was better if she didn't know.
"Oh..." Prima replied as she looked at her feet. Prima looked to her left and noticed Scarlett was squinting at her. Prima darted her eyes away and back at Scarlett a few times. Scarlett abruptly swung her head at Zalroth, making Prima jump.
"How come she's a kid now, wasn't she an adult, like, a minute ago?" Scarlett asked. Zalroth shrugged.
"Maybe the Angorthite temporarily accelerated her body's growth.". Prima nervously laughed.
"Yeeaah... that makes sense, that's probably what happened," Prima remarked while refusing to make eye contact with Zalroth. Zalroth crouched down on one knee and snapped his fingers, making Prima instinctively look at his hand.
"You alright kid?". Prima started to uncontrollably sweat while darting her eyes up at the sky.
"Y-yeah o-of co-urse, why'd you ask?" Prima frantically asked as she abruptly stood up while clinging onto the blanket. Zalroth stared into Prima's eyes before letting out a cheerful sigh, making Prima stop sweating as much.
"I thought you might've had some side effects, from being exposed to the Angorthite, but you seem to be alright.". Zalroth stood on his feet and asked Prima if she has any friends with her while Lola was climbing onto his back.
"Yeah, I can sense one of my mom's friends is nearby, so you don't need to worry.".
"That's good to hear, but we need to hurry back to our group," Zalroth explained. Prima seemed visibly upset and tried to ask why but stopped herself when she sensed something.
"Well ok then, do you want your blanket back?" Prima asked while taking the blanket off, revealing she was wearing skin-tight black shorts and a skin-tight black band around her chest. Lola nodded her head and Prima handed it to her, Lola quickly folded the blanket up and shoved it into one of her tails.
"It was nice meeting you guys," Prima said to the group as they said goodbye before leaving. Prima watched the group disappear into the forest and squinted her eye in their direction until she was sure they were gone. Prima waved one of her hands horizontally, her templar armour and her axe bursted into a cloud of golden dust. The dust spiralled around Prima before forming into a dress made from golden plating.
Prima rushed over to the dust pile, left from the Silhouette, and crouched down next to it. She poked her hand into the dust pile and rummaged through the dust. Her hand touched something spherical and pulled it out. Prima looked at the white sphere, with what looked like an aurora inside it, and scratched her head. She tried bitting the gem but was electrocuted by the gem when her teeth made contact with it, making her hair stick out straight in every direction. Prima blinked a few times before glaring at the gem. Xero landed behind Prima, startling her and making her toss the gem into the air. Prima quickly flattened her hair and spun around. Xero held his hand out and the gem landed in his palm. Xero raised the gem to his eye and started scanning it.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Hey Mr Xero, how've you been.". Xero finished scanning the gem and handed it back to Prima.
"Oh, you're assisting some kunoichi, that sounds awesome," Prima said as her tail rapidly swayed from side to side. Prima asked Xero if she could join him, but he shook his head in response.
"How come?" Prima asked while crossing her arms and slightly frowning. She eventually stopped frowning and looked at the gem in her hand.
"You think mama would like to have this?". Xero nodded his head before turning around. Xero blasted off into the sky but looked behind him, spotting Prima as she struggled to keep hold of his wings. Xero stopped his momentum and manoeuvred himself to grab Prima in his arms.
"Hehe, I, kinda, don't have enough mana to fly," Prima remarked while rubbing the back of her head. Xero looked off in the distance before looking back at Prima.
"Thank you so much," Prima said while putting her hands together. Xero's thrusters began to glow before they rocketed off.
Twenty minutes later, Callie nodded as Prima finished her explanation.
"You got possessed by some strange crystal, but were rescued, that would explain the reading from Sera's report.". Callie's eyes widened when she remembered something, making Prima's ears perk up from surprise.
"You said you found some a gem, in a dust pile, that Xero said I'd be interested in?". Prima energetically nodded her head before grabbing one of the plates from her dress, that were scattered around them. A hole formed on the plate before Prima turned it upside down, and the gem fell out of it and into Prima's other hand. She handed it to Callie and started to pick up the rest of her dress's metal plating. Callie's eyes instantly widened when she realised what the gem was. Prima reached out to pick up the last metal plate but Callie suddenly hugged her and caused Prima to drop all the metal platings.
"Thank you soooo much, Prima, you have no idea how much trouble I was having trying to make one of these, although it does make my attempts to make my own a waste of time in retrospect, that's neither here nor there.". Callie spun around in circles, with Prima limply hanging from her arms like a cat.
"Mama... I mean I did find it, but I wa-".
"I'll definitely have to get the chefs to make you a Luma-naid, as a reward.". Prima's eyes lit up at the mention of being given a Luma-naid, she smugly crossed her arms and grinned. Callie noticed Prima was grinning, and Callie rolled her eyes.
"Don't you think you're being a little pretentious?" Callie said, in a joking manner. Prima's grin became a little crooked and her ears drooped. Callie chuckled to herself as she pressed her cheek against Prima's cheek, while Prima looked away from Callie.
"Please don't be like that munchkins, I'm only teasing you.". Prima slowly turned her head and looked Callie in the eyes.
"I know," Prima replied with a mopey tone. Callie ruffled Prima's hair before putting her down.
"So, can I go to the café now?". Callie was about to respond but stopped herself, as she remembered something.
"Actually before we go, I need to check on your sister.". Prima nonchalantly nodded her head but, after a few seconds, suddenly had a shocked expression.
"S-sister?!" Prima blurted out.
Meanwhile, Xero flew high in the sky at mach 3, piercing through the clouds, while surveying and scanning the ground. He stopped his scanning and came to an abrupt stop, before instantly plummeting down in a straight line. Ruby finished eating a hamburger before a shockwave blasted past her and the plastic plate she was holding was launched into a tree. Ruby spun her body around and spotted Xero as his wings retracted into his body. Xero stood up and an empty plastic cup bounced off his face. Xero looked down at the cup before looking up at Alex.
"Watch it will ya, you almost knocked my drink over," Alex complained while taking a sip from her tea. While Alex continued to drink her tea she felt someone tugging on her shorts. Alex looked to her left and noticed Star, with a blanket and a rectangular green pad on her forehead, was looking up at her.
"Don't be m-ean to him." Star pleaded why trying not to sneeze. Alex scoffed before slouching back in her seat.
"...whatever..." Alex muttered before taking another sip from her tea. Charlotte let out a fed-up sigh and shook her head. Charlotte looked over at Ruby as she was reaching the grill to grab another burger with a spatula.
"So, you mention you wanted to tell me something, earlier, Ruby?". Ruby put the burger inbetween two buns and sat back down.
"Huh? Oh yeah, I did, but I can't really remember what it was though.". Ruby scratched her head as she tried to recall what she wanted to tell Charlotte. While Ruby took a bite from her hamburger as she tried to remember, Eliza waved her hand in front of Star making her look at her.
"Say awe," Eliza said while holding a thermometer in front of Star's face. Star opened her mouth and Eliza placed the thermometer in Star's mouth. After a few seconds, Eliza took the thermometer out of Star's mouth and checked her temperature. Eliza looked behind her at Luna and Heather by a folding table.
"Luna, Star has a temperature of fifty-nine degrees.". Luna remarked to Heather that Star was recovering much faster than she expected while she looked through her medical bag. Ruby let out an annoyed moan as she took another bite but her eyes suddenly widened.
"Oh-oh! I remember what I wanted to tell you earlier." Ruby gleefully chirped.
"That's nice to hear, so what was it?" Charlotte asked while rolling her eyes and thinking it was going to be something stupid.
"When I came over to you earlier, I was going to tell you that I sensed the Phantom's mana signature, and two others went off into the forest," Ruby said with a straight face. Charlotte stared blankly before putting her hand over her face and lowering her head onto her knees. Charlotte let out a long grown, making Ruby awkwardly look away from Charlotte and rapidly ate her hamburger.
"Poor thing," Eliza remarked as she looked at the disgruntled Charlotte.
