Chapter 46: Tracking Down The Watch Owner Epilogue

A faint crumble and rumbling echoed throughout the area, with the occasional sounds of small falling rocks hitting larger rocks.

"Man, it got really dark all of a sudden and why is there something soft on my face?" Ruby said with a muffled voice. She ran her hand around her surroundings and felt something with the consistency of fur.

"Oh, it must be Zalroth's tails-" Ruby remarked before suddenly grabbing something that was closed to her face that wasn't fluffy. Ruby squeezed the non-fluffy, soft object and it was accompanied by Sophia making a weird noise.

Ruby instantly figured out what she was holding. She quickly pulled her face back and realised she had had her face inbetween Sophia's breast, who had an embarrassed expression as her face was bright red. Ruby profusely blushed as she pulled her hand away and, as she sat up, sharply turned away from Sophia.

"S-sorry about that...." Ruby stuttered as her tail sporadically waved around while she covered her face. Sophia slowly sat up and watched Ruby's cat tail as its sporadic swaying turned to a more playful sway which made Sophia smile a little.

"It's fine Ruby, it's not like you did it intentionally," Sophia reassuringly said. Ruby pulled her face away from her hands with a surprised look on her face before spinning around again.

"So, you're not mad at me-". Ruby paused and quickly darted her head around at the fluffy glowing cyan fur terrain as it dimmed down to silver.

"Wait... where are we?" Ruby asked as she darted her head back at Sophia.

"I'm pretty sure this is the pocket dimension within sensei's tails," Sophia remarked as the duo watched bubbled items float above them.

"Soo... how do we get out of here anyway?" Ruby asked.

"It'd probably be best to wait until sensei says it's safe...". Sophia paused for a second and sighed, which made Ruby tilt her head.

"What's up?".

"Sensei, just told me he'll let us know when it's safe to come out," Sophia explained as she started to stand up.

"Come on let's go look for the others, they're probably close by," Sophia remarked as she extended her hand out to Ruby. The tips of Ruby's ears turned a faint red as she slowly moved her hand towards Sophia's before grabbing it.

"R-right..." Ruby mumbled as Sophia helped her to her feet.

Meanwhile, inside the caved-in cave, the rubble, and debris, cracked and crumbled as they finally came to a stop. Within the rubble, Zalroth, in his base form, repelled the rubble around him with a yellow electromagnetic barrier.

"Phew... that was a close one," Zalroth remarked as he lowered his arms. Zalroth sat down on his tails and placed his chin on his hand.

"Now how am I going to get us out of this...". Zalroth pondered before thinking of something and telepathically contacting someone. Zalroth waited for a few minutes before a multi-coloured portal opened inside the electromagnetic barrier.

"It's about time you-" Nola said as she popped her head out of the portal. She quickly glanced around before looking at Zalroth.

"What happened here?".

"The guy caused a cave-in," Zalroth replied.

"And where are the others?" Nola asked with a serious tone.

"In my tails," Zalroth stated.

"Right, well hurry up, Akari's making garlic pizza, I'm pretty sure Lola told you earlier," Nola remarked before disappearing back into the portal. Zalroth sighed as he stood up and hopped into the portal before it closed shortly after.

At the bottom of the dark cavern, The Terrorizer dragged himself away from a rockslide while clinging to Zalroth's mana sword. The Terrorizer attempted to push himself up but suddenly collapsed and slammed his head into the ground as his body started to spasm again; white cracks started to form all over his as purple liquid mana leaked out of his body and his body started to morph.
