"Would you like to try a free sample?" a fae in a server outfit asked a passerby as their fellow faes carried a tray of pastry samples. Yokuza mentally sighed, pondering why there were so many fae and fairies advertising the most random of products/businesses, as the group walked through the paths of Elarious' Oasis; a lush red forest covered in giant red flowers and the non-paved ground segments covered in smaller red flowers.
The shrunken Sapphire lazily led atop Yokuza's head, lazing about like a sloth and staring at the lone cloud in the sky before gazing forward as the group arrived at a fountain square area. Suzie darted her head around, scanning the few people residing in the square before her eyes lit up. Suzie released her grip on Yokuza's feather, sending an oddly empty feeling through Yokuza and making him gaze at the section of his wing Suzie previously held onto.
"Something wrong, dork?" Sapphire asked as she lightly slapped the sides of Yokuza's head with the back of her hands. Yokuza mindlessly shook his head and murmured a non-answer as Sapphire narrowed her gaze into a glare. Sapphire drilled her glare into the top of Yokuza's head, making Yokuza lightly sweat before ultimately groaning defeatedly.
"It's nothing alright, I just got this odd feeling," Yokuza stated quietly before he received a bonk to the face from the base of TEoR(The Eye of Revelation). The hit itself didn't do any damage, but Sapphire's snickering seemed to strike a nerve as Yokuza lowered his head. The floating Kimmi-Ka continued to boop Yokuza on the head with magnifying glass mode TEoR with Sapphire constantly getting smushed like a stress toy under the lense.
"Why are you hitting me?" Yokuza murmured deflatedly while raising a hand to block Kimmi-Ka's next boop. Kimmi-Ka gave Yokuza a deadpanned stare, filling him with an indescribable sense of dread as she looked into his eyes. Kimmi-Ka twirled TEoR spreading its mana through the air before condensing it into floating letters.
"I will not have my future Magistrate being indecisive," Kimmi-Ka's floating text read. Yokuza rubbed the back of his head, pessimistically sighing at Kimmi-Ka's remark as a sparkly-eyed Suzie returned with her mother in tow.
"You're going to become a magistrate in the future?" Suzie said excitedly with her hands meekly squeezed together. Yokuza mentally groaned while Suzie's mother lightly patted Suzie on the head.
"It must be your lucky streak, sweetie. This is the second time we've received a Magistate's assistance," Suzie's mother remarked as she ruffled Suzie's hair. Yokuza shut his eyes while amusedly recalling Prima boasting about her and Yumi helping Zuno save a village.
Yokuza shot his eyes open as he sensed a sharp surge of energy erupt nearby. He swung his head toward the surge, narrowing his eyes into a stern stare as he locked his vision on Malfarothian Stadium.
Sapphire sucked air into their mouth, puffing up parts of her flattened body until popping back to her original shape. Sapphire shuffled around until flopping onto Yokuza's shoulder as she stared at the stadium's roof. Sapphire placed a hand on her chin and hummed.
"Doesn't that feel like Lola's mana did the other day?" Sapphire uttered before an even sharper energy signature surged past her. Feeling a cold chill crawl through her, Sapphire staggered back and fell onto Yokuza's right wing. Yokuza watched the pitch-black glass roof of the stadium and defensively flinched as shrieking cracks echoed through the air.
The shrieks bellow through the air, and the large cracks on the glass roof crawled across it as the building pressure tried to break free. As the roof reached its limit, the cracking ceased. For a brief moment, the screeching subsided leaving the surrounding populous in confusion. However, an eruption of multi-green qi exploded through the stadium's roof, shattering it into billions of pieces and stirring the frantic populous to book it from the stadium.
The eruption of green gi rose into the sky while spreading across the sky like a mushroom cloud and plunging the city of Delaureus into partial darkness. Yokuza watched the rising qi and softened the glare in his eyes as he spotted a silhouette rising through the qi mushroom cloud. Yokuza plucked the startled Sapphire from his shoulder and handed her to Slyvie, who clung to Sapphire like a plushie. Yokuza used his wings to lift Sylvie off his back and handed her to Kimmi-Ka.
"I'll be back," Yokuza stated to Kimmi-Ka. Yokuza sprawled out his wings and swung them downwards, launching himself into the air before rocketing off for the stadium.
Moments earlier in the vacant Malfarothian Stadium, Lola and co recided around Kurai in a circular formation. Scarlett held her arms out and gently held onto Kurai's wrists while playfully swaying them from side to side. Scarlett stared blankly forward making sure her vision didn't drift as she felt the piercing and poutful glares of Snow and Kusana aimed directly at her. As the two pouted and hummed, Lola inquisitively looked at Snow with radiant eyes.
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Alright, Snow, if how my brain is telling me your azu ability works then... you gotta use your mana on Kurai... and then...," Lola muttered as she slowly raised her hands and squeezed her ears. Snow snapped her vision from Scarlett, her stare softening as she placed her vision on Lola.
"And... then?" Snow mumbled while tapping her fingertips. Lola lowered her head and sighed sombrely as she rubbed the plume of fur in front of her ears.
"I dunno how to describe it...". Lola paused mid-sentence as a thought occurred to her, "Oh yeah, Memory Screen.". Lola slapped her hands together, making pink/golden dust poof out from between her hands. She waved her arms through the mist, morphing and weaving it into the shape of a floating screen. A faint buzz emanated from the Memory Screen as its illuminated screen went fully opaque.
"Like this," Lola stated as she gestured to the Memory Screen while doing jazz hands. Snow gave the Memory Screen a single puzzled glance before turning to Lola.
"I don't get it...," Snow muttered. Lola wagged her ears before peering around the Memory Screen to see its screen displaying nothing but static. Lola slumped her head defeatedly before raising her fists and bonking herself on the noggin. In time with Lola's head bonking, the static on the Memory Screen dramatically distorted before becoming a single mute grey.
After a few seconds, a few glass spheres with metal-like protrusions appeared on the screen. Lola repeated her jazz hands but with a more defeated demeanour than before.
"Like this," Lola uttered. On the Memory Screen, a nanite with a blue glow collided with a nanite with a yellow glow. The blue nanite vibrated against the yellow nanite as its yellow glow faded. The blue nanite slammed into the yellow one, knocking its glow out of it as the nanites shot off in adjacent directions.
"Oh... so I need to do what your dad does when he heals sis after she trips?" Snow said as she raised her hands to her face. For a brief moment, Scarlett was unreactive before her face turned red and swung her head to look at Snow.
"Hey?!" Scarlett exclaimed poutfully. Snow wandered over to Kurai with apprehensive steps and sat beside her. Snow held out her hands to Kurai. She closed her eyes and silently tensed up her hands. Snow sighed as her mana refused to leave her body. Kara watched Snow continue to struggle before she grabbed onto one of Lola's tails. Kara fluttered up behind Snow while dragging Lola by the tail like a ragdoll.
"... it wasn't this hard to do when Mr Zalroth was helping me," Snow mumbled as Kara raised a hand to Snow. Kara thrust Lola's tail into Snow's back, making Snow eep from the shock at feeling a cold sensation flow from the tail and into Snow's back.
"Wha-?" Snow stuttered as she recoiled and arched her back away from Lola's tail.
"One has fixed your bad posture," Kara stated as she released Lola's tail, and Destiny dived under the tail before it flopped on top of her. Snow considered replying to Kara's statement but her concentration was diverted by the tingling sensation in her hand. She turned her vision to her hand and watched her silver/green mana flowing out from her fingertips.
"Oh," Snow said meekly. Snow aimed her hands at Kurai before waving her hands, speeding up the rate mana left her hands. Snow's mana twirled through the air; until landing on Kurai's angorthite infected arms and melting onto them. The pale purple colouration of Kurai's arms appeared to resemble sizzling water as it dripped onto the stage and fizzled away.
As relief filled her from getting purified, Kurai removed her gaze from her current situation and directed it elsewhere. A moment of pause occupied Kurai's mind before she felt a wave of concern overtake her as she looked at the rows of empty seats and the world covered by a faint azure-blue crystalline visual texture.
"Kurai?" Lola asked worriedly as she positioned her face in front of Kurai. Kurai stared up at the elevated private booth Lola and co came from before mentally groaning in pain as the last of her infection was purified. The necklace wrapped around Kurai's neck began to jostle about as the angorthite inside slammed against the necklace's frame before the necklace popped like popcorn. The crumbling silver/green mana-coated angorthite shot straight into the air before exploding into colourless dust. The kids watched the falling dust as it bundled together before their feet.
"Is now a bad time for one to mention we're in deepwater?" Kara remarked nonchalantly as she and the other kids stared at the dust pile on the stage.
"Deepwater?" Destiny asked as she poked her head out from under Lola's tails and looked at her surroundings while commenting on the lack of water. Lola rubbed the back of her head and lightly pattered her spiked-up tails. Lola paused mid-pat, pulling one of her spikey tails to her face as she wondered why they looked like they would if she was scared.
[So Kara Raiden (Prime) and Lola Sakamoto (Prime) could tell something's off]
Lola's face turned a sicklier pale tone as she saw the floating text flutter past the group, making the others look at her with puzzled looks.
"What's that?" Scarlett remarked as she raised a hand to the text, only to be rugby-tackled by Lola and have the wind knocked out of her.
"Don't touch it!" Lola screamed, only to realise Scarlett was too winded to hear her.
"Is it bad?" Destiny asked. Lola raised a hand to speak but paused herself before scratching her head.
"I dunno, Papa just said to never touch any floating text she couldn't sense, especially blue or red ones," Lola said with a pout while Snow helped Kurai to her feet.
