Chapter 110: The Ultimate Weapon's Second Downfall Part 3

Moments ago, inside the Ancient Colossal's head, Zalroth zipped between the many floating magic barriers, making a beeline for the Ancient Tower's energy core as it fired energy lightning bolts in every direction, destroying many of the magic barriers as they continued to form.

A large energy lightning bolt blasted out from the energy core and thundered straight for Zalroth. The lightning bolt raced through the air, but a large zero-gravity magic bubble appeared before its trajectory; the bolt slammed into the bubble, and the energy lightning bolt spewed out of its original formation and spread out to fill the bubble until it looked like a plasma globe.

Chronia, with a Mana Tether between herself and Kusana, smirked as she slightly lowered her hand.

"I thought so. If I modify how the gravity inside the Zero-G bubbles is distributed I can trap the energy inside," Chronia muttered aloud before she raised both her hands and clicked her fingers together as she looked around the large energy core storage chamber for something.

As Zalroth drew nearer to the energy core, a Zero-G bubble formed around the energy core and functionally cut off the energy core's ability to fire off any projectile attacks. Zalroth smirked before he slammed his feet into the side of the central pillar containing the energy core, and he also plunged his bare hand into the central pillar to secure his balance.

The energy core frantically and repeatedly attempted to blast Zalroth with any form of attack. But all its energy attacks were restrained by the Zero-G bubble. Along with any of the wall-mounted energy, guns were destroyed by Chronia using a variety of ice, shadow, and water mana attacks.

Zalroth reeled back his gauntlet-bearing fist and hurled a punch at the energy core. The energy core repeatedly slammed into the walls of the central pillar as Zalroth's fist was inches away from the energy core the core abruptly smashed through the central pillar and flung itself away from Zalroth.

"Oh come on...," Zalroth said under his breath as he bashed his head against the central pillar and concaving the central pillar. Zalroth pulled his head out from the hole he made in the central pillar and glared at the energy core as the energy tendrils spewing out of it latched onto floating metal debris and pulled them all towards itself. The metal debris slammed into each other around the core before rapidly contorting and taking on a humanoid form; the humanoid's head fractured and split open like a flower to reveal the Ancient Tower energy core within.

Zalroth exhaled defeated and pried his arm free from the central pillar before he increased the intensity of his Lightning Amp lightning and lept off the central pillar. The two fought each other mid-air with Chronia and the others supporting Zalroth from a distance while Lola and co watched the battle from a hiding place.

"And now it's become a Ne-Lon Administrator; man, we really shouldn't be here," Minia said. Kara open her mouth to speak, but the Chronicle Codex abruptly dropped to the bottom of Destiny's rainbow bubble followed by Kara herself falling a few inches before being caught mid-air by Destiny.

"Shush, I'm trying to watch the battle," Lola murmured, and she wagged tails as she adamantly watched Zalroth battling the Ne-Lon Administrator.

"I agree with Lola on this one it would be in your best interest to be quiet to not draw the wrath of any of the combatants... especially Chronia's," Zalkutaro remarked, causing everyone in the magic bubble except Kyubi, Destiny and Kara to freeze, and slowly turn their heads towards where they heard Zalkutaro. The group stared at Destiny's black scarf as it ruffled and unwound from her neck to reveal it was a shadow double of Zalkutaro in his kitsune cub form.

"O-oh, Uncle Kutaro, f-fancy running into you here," Minia said, stuttering and sweating buckets as she spoke.

"Do not... sweat (damn it I made a pun) Chronia foresaw you being bamboozled by the sudo-Shakespearian Kara and saw you heading to the Ne-Lon Colossal, but no further than that. So, she asked me to send a shadow double to ensure your safety," the Zalkutaro Shadow Double stated as it waved a paw back and forth while it spoke.

"So... we're not in trouble?" Lola asked meekly as she covered her head with her tails. The Shadow Double looked away before covering the area it would have a mouth with its paw.

"I wouldn't say that.". Lola and Minia drooped their heads and let out deflated sighs before Lola slowly looked back to the ongoing battle.

Zalroth kickflipped a magic barrier over his head before he bicycle kicked (the kick footballers do where they do a backflip and kick the ball mid-air) the magic barrier straight into the Ne-Lon Administrator's energy core, but the Ne-Lon Administrator disintegrated the magic barrier with the field of energy coating the energy core.

Zalroth held out a leg and spiralled around in the air as dark green wind mana twisted around him in the shape of a large sphere; the mana condensed and moulded into many Reining Winds swords. Zalroth swiped his leg through the air and hurled all the mana swords at the Ne-Lon Administrator.

The Ne-Lon Administrator shot out energy tendrils from its arm and slashed its arm in front of itself and a large chunk of metal debris being held by the energy tendril was tossed in front of the Ne-Lon Administrator. The Reining Winds swords plunged into the metal debris, and the Ne-Lon Administrator tossed the debris to the side before it grabbed a cluster of metal debris and hurled them at Zalroth.

Multiple Zero-G bubbles popped up and caught the debris mid-air before Zalroth kicked all the debris back at the Ne-Lon Administrator. Ne-Lon slashed through the debris using energy claws and fired a spiral-shaped concentrated energy beam at Zalroth. Zalroth created a magic barrier, kicked off it, and launched himself out of the way of the energy beam. Zalroth created another magic barrier and landed on it as the Ne-Lon Administrator ceased firing its energy core energy beam.

"Wow, you sure know of to defend yourself, but your attacks could use some work," Zalroth remarked as he smugly rubbed his nose. As Zalroth continued to throw snarky comments at the Ni-Lon Administrator, Kusana watched the Ni-Lon Administrator before her attention was drawn to Zalkutaro's dawnite harp in her hands as its strings started to strum by itself.

The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

"Papa, watch out!" Lola cried as she jumped out from Destiny's rainbow bubble and her body was covered by a faint Lightning Amp lighting veil. Zalroth's kitsune ears sharply popped out of his head, and as he turn to his left Lola tackled him and knocked the two of them off Zalroth's magic barrier. As the two fell, Zalroth caught a bright golden light in the corner of his eye, and when he looked at the light source he realised it was a concentrated energy beam the Ne-Lon Administrator previously fired.

The beam blasted through the magic barrier Zalroth was previously standing on, and the Ne-Lon Administrator flew out of the way energy beam before it grabbed the energy beam with its energy tendrils. The Ne-Lon Administrator reined the energy in a circular motion and hurled the spiralling energy beam straight down at Zalroth and Lola.

Zalroth darted his eyes down at Lola before he sprung out one of his tails and wrapped it around Lola. The tail and Lola disappeared in a cluster of cyan mana particles, and Zalroth crossed his arms and created multiple large opaque magic barriers. The spiral energy beam slammed into the first magic barrier and squeezed all the magic barriers into each other as Zalroth gathered Lightning Amp lightning and blaze (dark blue fire) mana mixed with the light mana particles and shadow mana particles respectively.

The three manas melded together into a shining golden plasma mana sphere, and Zalroth slammed the golden plasma sphere into the magic barriers before dispelling the barriers and firing a concentrate plasma beam into the spiral energy beam as he stood on a magic barrier. The Ne-Lon Administrator gathered golden energy around its fist, and as it was about to charge at Zalroth Shadow Double Zalkutaro decked the Ne-Lon Administrator in the energy core.

Chronia and Minia, with a Mana Tether connected between her and Kyubi, stood on Minia's super pale cyan Nimbus Cloud as the cloud flew down towards the space high above Zalroth.

"You're absolutely certain Kyubi's Abyssal Storage Azure Ability functions as a separate storage to your tail pocket dimension?" Chronia asked with a serious tone. Minia attempted to speak but couldn't utter a single syllable, and she nodded in response.

"Don't look so pale... paler than usual; It's not like I can be mad at you, especially given my track record, and Kara used a verbal contract on you, hehe," Chronia remarked while chuckling a bit, causing Minia to gain a shocked expression.

"But... Uncle,". Chronia gave Minia a smug side-eye.

"Did you honestly believe he'd skip an opportunity to mess with someone?". Minia paused and thought it over before she facepalmed and sighed meekly.

"But don't think you won't receive some form of punishment for bringing unrelated children to the second most dangerous place on Earth," Chronia uttered under her breath, causing Minia's gelatin kitsune ears to look like melting ice cream.

"Oooh....".

"I don't mean to be rude, but I'd appreciate some assistance!" Zalroth shouted as the plasma beam clashed with the spiral energy beam. Chronia said she be there in a second before she swan-dived off the Nimbus Cloud.

Zalroth flexed his arm and exploded the plasma beam to knock the spiral energy beam back. Chronia swooped in front of the spiral energy beam before batting it away without making skin contact with it and launching it directly upwards. Minia rubbed her face as she groaned about why she always gets into trouble because of others as she collected a shiny variant of her gelatin slime over her hand.

Minia lent over the side of her Ninbus Cloud before she threw a shiny gelatin slime punch and unleashed a large upside-down tornado made from her shiny gelatin slime. The gelatin slime tornado spiralled and ensnared the spiral energy beam, fully encasing the spiral energy beam before the shiny slime shrank and receded into Minia's gelatin hair. Minia plumped her butt down on her Nimbus Cloud, and the cloud descended from the impact.

Zalroth conjured a magic barrier beneath him followed by him landing on it, and Chronia floated over to Zalroth and threw herself at him; Chronia overdramatically held the back of her hand over her face as she flopped in Zalroth's arms.

"Oh, valiant hero; would you please whisk me off to safety for I have been injured," Chronia said, while putting on an overly dramatic damsel voice.

"What's got you in such a dramatic state?" Zalroth asked, only for Chronia to hover her hand in front of Zalroth's face and presented the light graze on her hand. Zalroth sighed as Lola slowly crept her head up from behind Zalroth's shoulder. Lola quietly hid behind Zalroth as she watched Chronia hold her hand out at Zalroth.

"Papa...,".

"Yeah...?".

"Mama's not mad at me for coming here is she?". Zalroth shrugged while a light bulb lit up in her brain.

"Lola, I can't read minds... unless I'm using the Crescent Moon Staff.". Chronia couldn't contain the cheeky smirk on her face as her idea

"I might be willing to overlook your actions if your father gives me a kiss right now~," Chronia said in an off-handed manner, causing Lola's ears to perk up. Lola lept from her hiding position and placed her hands on the back of Zalroth's head before pushing as hard as she could while subconsciously channelling a slightly stronger Lightning Amp. Lola managed to move Zalroth's head a few inches towards Chronia, but she slumped like a noodle and fell onto Chronia's lap.

"I'm sorry, mama, he's too strong... ehg," Lola said in a dramatic tone similar to how Chronia did before she tilted her head to the side and fake died. Zalroth smirked and sighed simultaneously while Chronia and Lola continued to overdramatically plead for Zalroth to kiss Chronia.

"Huff... didn't I say I would-" Zalroth remarked before he glared upwards as his pupils narrowed into narrow slits, causing the dramatic duo to stop their dramatic acting.

"What's wrong, papa?" Lola asked. Zalroth lowered his arms and apologised under his breath before he flung the duo into the air as a golden light rapidly increased in intensity. Zalroth darted his eyes at the bright light and only had enough time to raise his arms in front of his face before a gigantic concentrated energy beam slammed into him, scorching Zalroth's arms and clothes.

Zalroth's body and clothes continued to be scorched by the energy beam, and he tried to push back against it, but as he did the magic barrier he stood upon shattered like glass from the force of the energy beam. Zalroth lost his balance before the energy beam exploded and blasted the gauntlet clean off Zalroth. Zalroth hurtled through the air before crashing back first onto a shaky barrier he created to break his fall.

"Zalroth!/Papa!" Chronia/Lola cried out as they went through Minia's Nimbus Cloud and floated to the top of it.

Zalroth staggered to an upright position as he heard crunchy noises emanating from his arm. Zalroth raised his right hand to his face before he stared at the charred state of his hand, and Zalroth also inspected the back of his arm to see the last of the light mana sun tattoo crumble away.

"yeesh... Minia's gonna be mad I let her magic tattoo get-," Zalroth thought to himself as he went to place his left arm on the magic barrier; however, he fell further than anticipated and face-planted into the magic barrier. Zalroth rolled his head to the left, sliding his face against the magic barrier as he did so, and he stared at the non-existent stump he now had as a left arm.

"How'd I miss that?". Zalroth placed his arm on the magic barrier, and one arm pushed up himself into a standing position with a single push. Zalroth placed a hand on his chin and snapped his head at a ninety-degree angle, repeatedly cracking his neck. Zalroth gazed up and watched the Ne-Lon Administrator dive-bombed straight for Zalroth, causing Zalroth's pupils to narrow again as he glared at the Ne-Lon Administrator.
