Chapter 54-Hidden Dungeons(Day 3)

Chapter 54-Hidden Dungeons(Day 3)

The next morning Lintian made some food and they left to hunt again. Today Xintong made a full recovery and could fight with her full strength of the 2nd stage of the Martial realm. With her ability to control water and ice it made it incomparably easier for them to massacre tier to demonic beast. They have trouble with tier three from time to time but it was just trouble.

“Hey Xintong do you have another heaven qi weapon?” Lintian asked. This was because the heaven qi knife that his uncle gave him was running out of juice. These weapons needed to be charged in order to keep their strength.

“Sorry no. They only gave us one each to use. My is almost out too,” she said while she was feeding Akumy some sort of snack.

“No problem,” said Lintian lightly.

“Should we stop? Or go after tier ones instead?” Xintong asks in concern.

“We’ll be fine,” Lintian promises, “but we should be ahead with all these we caught.”

“OH XINGXING!” a girlish voice rang out.

“Meiyun?” Xintong questions.

A little girl about 11 or 12 years of age dressed in black came through from the trees.

“I saw you when I was coming by. What happen to your team?” this Meiyun asks.

Xintong didn't reply. More like she didn't know how to reply. Miyun's team arrives a few seconds later. There was a tall skinny boy dressed in black. Another girl about the same age with dazzling eyes.

Seeing how Xintong didn’t reply she changed the question, “so whose this boy?”

“Oh he’s Lintian,” Xintong said blushing a bit but not too much.

“Meiyun did you come across Lance by any chance?” Xintong asks cutting straight to the point.

Meiyun shook her head, “no. From what I heard they went deeper into the forest. Furthermore it seems that some of the older teams discovered a hidden dungeon. It was the age group 13 to 15 that discovered it. It was two days ago.”

“Oh. I was wondering why I haven't met anyone yet. Why didn't you go?”

“Do I look like an idiot,” she chuckles.

The girl in the back raises her hand and was about to speak when she stopped.

Lintian stood there listening to all this. A hidden dungeon interesting Lintian thought. Mr. Rashu whats a hidden dungeon? Lintian asks realizing he has absolutely no clue what it was.

Hidden dungeons are usually legacies left behind by Ancestor and above practitioners. Lets go find out what level it is and see. Right now your too weak anyhow but with my help we should be able to benefit a bit from it.

“Hey guys. Do you know where it is? I wanna check it out,” Lintian squeaks out.

“Huh? Hahaha,” Meiyun laughs, “sorry didn't realize you were still here. How you meet Xingxing?”

“Oh she saved me a couple days ago. So where is this hidden dungeon?”

“I don't think you should go,” Meiyun sighs. “It is simply too dangerous. I heard from my parents those dungeons are full of traps and stuff. The changes of survival for us Martial cultivators are close to zero.”

“Still a chance through,” Lintian interjects feeling a bit annoyed now.

“Lintian I don't think we should go,” Xintong chimes in.

Lintian understood where they were coming from. If he didn't have Rashu Lintian would probable not go either but since he does it is a different story.

“We’ll be fine Xintong. I promise,” Lintian said. Meiyun rolls her eyes.

Now for the last couple of days Xintong grew to trust and depend on Lintian. Naturally if Lintian said so with such confidence she would agree.

“Meiyun please tell us.”

Meiyun’s eyes gleamed with rage at Lintian. How idiotic and arrogant is this little brat? You are not even in the martial realm yet.

Little does she know that not only was Lintian in the Martial realm but he also have the aura of a stage five Martial realm practitioner. Only he was hiding it right now.

Support creative writers by reading their stories on Royal Road, not stolen versions.

Seeing her rage Lintian pretended to be aloof to it.

“I’ll tell you if this boy can beat me in a fight,” Meiyun growls. She was doing this for the safety of Xintong and him.

“Sister,” the boy and the girl behind her said simultaneously.

Meiyun raises her hand and shuts them up.

“Fine,” Lintian said, “originally I didn't want to fight a friend of Xintong but now I will.” Fighting those demonic beasts were getting boring anyway. The thought of adventure made his blood dance. Having listened to so many story about his parents naturally he wanted to follow their footsteps.

“Whenever your ready,” Lintian said and bows to her in sign of respect. Normally when two practitioners spar they bow to each other out of respect. This was the first time that Lintian bowed. “And take it easy on me.”

“Naturally,” she said and bowed too.

Xintong stood to the side having 100 percent belief in Lintian.

They both jumped back 10 meters.

Lintian raised his fist into a fighting stance. He began to operate the Dancing Moonlight body skill.

Meiyun also activated her body skill and furthermore she strengthen varies part of her joints.

They both charge at each other. Meiyun’s first couple of moves were a combination of normal punches and kicks follow by couple deadly elbow attack.

Lintian on the other hand was on the receiving end. He kept dodging and blocking. When he saw an opening he went for it.

Meiyun having 2 more years of experience defiantly helped her. She purposely left that opening for him. When Lintian’s fist flew forward toward her ribs. She changed the direction of her elbow from forward to downward.

Sensing danger Lintian operated his Emperor’s steps and disappeared into the wind only to reappear right behind with two finger pressed behind her neck. These two fingers indicates a sword and her defeat.

Meiyun felt a chill facing Lintian. At first she was overconfident and felt that Lintian was a worm beneath her feet. Slowly as the battle progressed that confidence began to crumble. It felt that Lintian was going easy on her. Like a Master sparring with a student. She left the opening hoping Lintian would be less experience in battle than her and take it. Except he did take it but on the first sign of danger he finished her off.

Her two teammates saw everything. One-second they were evenly tied and then the next second she lost.

“Who is he?” the skinny boy whispers to Xintong.

“A genius among geniuses,” Xintong said.

“Senior Meiyun thank you for the spar but I believe I won,” Lintian said politely, “so where is the dungeon?”

Meiyun snaps out of her daze and answers, “I’ll lead you there. Once we get their we will leave. You do whatever you want but if I find out that Xingxing is hurt you will wish you never met me.”

“Ok,” Lintian said feeling that deathly glare. “Question what stage are you at?”

“Fourth of the Martial realm, what about you?”

“First of the Martial realm, it was a nice spar. Thank you,” Lintian said.

First of the Martial realm? What kind of Martial art does his clan teach him? He’s not normal, Meiyun thought. These geniuses are popping out of nowhere these days.

“Alright, everyone follow me,” Meiyun’s voice echoes out.

Everyone followed behind her and as they race toward the dungeon.

Lintian you must be very careful in the dungeon, warns Rashu. Remember that in this dungeon you are but and ant beneath their feet. Don’t touch anything and follow my directions down to the detail. If any dangers come I cannot doing anything to help.

Okay. Lintian replies and he completely understands where Rashu was coming from. He naturally remembers how many times his parents almost died adventuring and they were in the King’s realm during those times.
