After they finished eating the delicious roasted boar, Lintian returned Kyuri back into the beast box for a nice nap. Lintian also stored away the beast core, the boar’s skin and tusk. Lintian turns his head toward Yuki with a serious face.
“Yuki, can you keep this all a secret?” Lintian asked.
“Why?”
“I don't want everyone to worry,” Lintian answered with a half-truth.
“What about Kyuri?”
“I’ll introduce him to everyone later but right now you can’t tell anyone about what happen here. It’s a secret between us ok? Promise me?” Lintian said helplessly.
“If you promise to play with me when you’re free.”
“Sure,” Lintian answered without a hint of hesitation, “but if anyone finds out I won’t play with you anymore.” He threatens.
Yuki’s eyes widen and hugs Lintian, “Ok.”
Who’s supposed to be the older one sighed Lintian. Lintian got up and took Yuki’s hand and snuck back into the house with her. After they separated he hid into his room. He took out the beast core and inspected it. It was a translucent dark purple void of all light. Lintian tried to sense energy from it but there was none.
Lintian stretch out his hand with the core in his hand and puts it up to a light bulb and said, “I guess I did drain all the qi from it.”
Then his wrist started to feel a bit hot and it glowed for a bit and then the beast core in Lintian’s hand had a pulling feeling on it and Lintian let go. It flew and hit the dream orb that Lintian has transformed into a wrist guard on his right hand. It slowly began to merge into it. Then all was quiet.
“Ok……” said Lintian, “that was weird. Mom didn’t say anything about that feature.”
Feeling that he could do nothing about it he went to have dinner and began to cultivate again. He could also faintly hear Kira and Tsuna fighting at the training ground again.
The beast box vibrated a bit and Kyuri popped out. Lintian had also brought food back for Kyuri. While Lintian cultivated Kyuri ate.
The morning came again and Lintian had no choice but to put Kyuri back into the box. When Lintian got to school that day there was a huge commotion in the hallway in from of the smartboard. Students were trying to get their hardest to get a look at it. Lintian saw Chelsey walking in and decided to ask her.
“Hey Chelsey whats going on?”
“Lintian, good morning. Are you okay from yesterday?”
“Yeah I’m fine, but why is everyone crowded around the smartboard?”
“The instructors already decided who to take under their wing and has posted the results there.”
“Hey guys guess who showed up,” came a taunting voice laughing “Dr. Harris chosen last ranker.”
Everyone’s head turn to where the guy was pointing. It was at Lintian. Lintian could see the distain, jealousy, comtempt and anger on some of the students face. Lintian can understand since even if Dr. Harris team always come in last at the end of the year tournaments his chosen student’s cultivation were still above the normal population.
“How did such a useless piece of sh*t get chosen,” one of the boys said. You can hear the disgust in his voice.
Wow such strong language Lintian thought amusingly to himself.
“Dr. Harris really has no eyes. I heard he got first pick and the first one he pick was this last ranker.”
“Trash do like trash after all.”
Lintian ignore those comments and tried to plow through the crowd to see the smartboard but the students in the heat of the moment pushed him back.
Chelsey seeing all this in distraught yelled out, “you guys are going too far!”
“Wei Lintian report to Dr. Harris’s office” a voice announced over the intercom.
Lintian looked at Chelsey and whispered, “don’t worry I’ll be fine. These guys are just jealous.” He left for the office.
When he was outside Harris’s door Harris shout, “Come in!”
Lintian walks in to find Dr. Harris wrestling with a northern star grizzle bear while his leg was getting humped by an adorable white fur Chihuahua.
“Chichi stop humping by leg and Boomba get off of me,” directed Dr. Harris helplessly. The Chihuahua still moving his hips looks at Lintian and seems to be saying, **** what are you looking at.
Ok……. Lintian thought. The bear Boomba finally got off and returned to his beast box. Then Dr. Harris picks up Chichi by the neck while it still kept the hip thrusting motion going and return him back into the beast box.

“Sorry about that Lintian but let’s get down to business. Do you know why I call you here today?” apologized Dr. Harris.
“Is it about you picking me?”
“Eh. Half and half. What stage of the refinement realm are you at?” he said nonchalantly.
“Stage 1” answered Lintian.
“Ahhhh that’s a lie right there,” Dr. Harris said point his finger at Lintian in a ah ha moment.
“What do you mean?” Lintian asked.
“I’ll tell you later, but I think you’re at least at stage two,” he paused for a second to read Lintian’s reaction and then resumed, “stage two it is then. Why are you hiding your cultivation?”
“I’m not,” denied Lintian irritated.
“Lintian your eight years old this year. You have not even experience the world yet and you think you can lie to me?”
“I’m really not lying,” repeated Lintian.
“Ok let me began then. When I asked you what stage of refinement realm you were at. You shift your gaze. That in itself would not make you a liar but you hesitated like you were thinking. You really wanted to tell me but something stopped you. Also when I called you a liar your eyebrow knitted together and you deflected the question with a question telling me you were agitated. Now why were you agitated? So I told you my guess in a confident tone and you had fear and surprise mixed together on your face, so I asked the next question why you are hiding your cultivation you answered with an irritated sound. From what I can deduce from that is you are at stage two of cultivation, and you are hiding something that has to do with the way you got to stage two. Am I right?”
Lintian sat their quietly surprised by this deduction. Lintian didn’t know half the thing he said but it sounded reasonable.
“If you say so,” Lintian replied.
“Lintian I don’t want you to see me as an enemy. I am trying to help and understand you,” Dr. Harris said maintaining eye contact trying to make a connection.
“I’m sorry Dr. Harris but I really can’t tell you.”
“Its fine but you know I will find out anyway right? How many meridian points have you opened?”
“Four,” answered Lintian.
“That’s an impossible truth,” stated Dr. Harris, “with three meridian points open it is impossible for you to be at the second stage of the realm but your face is telling me you are telling the truth. That only means you are either in possession of a treasure or a very special body you can’t reveal to others. So which is it?”
Lintian was astonished in his mind but remain quiet.
“Is it a treasure that can increase cultivation speed?” he asked, “your face is saying no. Then how about treasure that can raise you by a realm? Mhmm. Still no. Then you have a special body?" Harris paused watching for a reaction. "Ding ding ding. Yes it is then.”
Fear creeps onto Lintian’s face and Dr. Harris could read it like a book. Dr. Harris did not expect the fear to be that extreme and felt kind of bad.
“Lintian you can tell me yourself. I just want to help. I am a scientific man and a formation master and research is my world. I swear that I will not harm you in any shape or form and it will only be beneficial for you to tell me.”
“You cannot tell anyone” warned Lintian.
“Not a single soul outside of this room will know,” he promised.
Lintian felt like he would find out sooner or later. He also has this unconscious feeling that he could trust him. Furthermore, even through he doesn't think it or show it Lintian feels a huge burden in his heart that has been wanting to scream it out. Lastly even if he told Harris Lintian felt that there is no way for him to connect it to his real family.
“You are right I am at the second stage of the refinement realm. How did you know through?” Lintian asked.
“At the opening ceremony when I gave out basic information about the dantian you showed an expression of understanding on your face like you experience it before. Then during the tests you had a series of accidents but during the defense one I saw you move backward at almost the exact speed as the punch. I notice it was an instant movement footwork technique. It should be a high ranking one too and for you to be in stage one to learn it would be near impossible. Normally you can learn a footwork technique at that level but it would be a rank 1 which doesn’t consume that much qi but yours absorbed one/tenth of your qi in one movement. I estimate you would need to be in martial realm to learn it but it is impossible for you whose only a month into cultivation to even be in the martial realm,” he said and left out one part which is that you need a monstrous comprehension ability to even learn it with such weak qi. "So tell me what kind do you have?"
“Oh. My body is that of an,” Lintian paused.
“A what?” asks Harris eyes widened.
